  Try this for a possible solution:

  -check if there is a shortcut to the application is placed on the inside of the after 2014 effects in the After Effects application folder.

  If so, then trash the shortcut and launch after effects 2014 to check on the issue.

  What operating system do you use? Famine of RAM may be worse in Win XP 32, as the total RAM available for applications combined is 2.7 GB.

  Try this - made model to a lossless format (as Animation Quicktime, huge file, but you can delete it later), and then close AE and launch Adobe Media Encoder in stand-alone mode and try to encode using your programmed SOUL Blu - Ray player.

  I got after effects cs6. I'm working on the construction of a somewhat complex shape, made of 5 shapes with the pen tool and I wanted to merge together. but it is not letting me. I looked at the documentation and it says: all you need to do is select the forms you want to merge and Ctrl + G or layer > Group shapes. Doesn't work for me, though. Group shapes is grayed out in the menu.

  It's pretty frustrating for me cause I spent a bit of time, making this shape. I hope I'm missing something simple... just if I wanted from the known, that he was going to be it's boring I would of just made the shape in illustrator.

  You have all your forms in a separate shape layer.

  Copy and paste all the paths in the form of a unique shape layers.

  Then in a single shape layer select all the paths and make your group.

  Save the script as a .jsx file and run it from the command file/Script in After Effects.
