After fake antivirus AVG flash drive problem

Hello

I've seen several posts for the same thing but have not seen the instructions to fix. I think I deleted manually malicious software AVG with the instructions I found on the web. I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player. However, it does not work. If you look in Add/REMOVE programs Adobe Flash Player appear but there is no match to him. I am running Windows XP Media Edition with IE8 (32-bit). I was using the latest version of Flash Player.

Thanks for your help.

Check if you have the "kill bit" for the game of Flash Player:http://forums.adobe.com/message/3432049#3432049

Change nothing manually; If you find that the "kill-bit" is set, remove it with the download at the bottom of this post http://forums.adobe.com/message/3434922#3434922

  • ScanDisk USB Flash Drive problem after upgrade to El Capitan

After the upgrade to El Capitan, I can't access the vault secure on my USB Cruzer facet flash drive. I have Plug and display files as usual but when I try to open the safe, I get the message ' Scan Disk Secure Access V 2.0 requires San Disk USB Flash Drive. Please insert one. »

The Flash Player has worked fine before the upgrade to El Capitan and I can still use the files outside of the secure vault but, basically, I cannot now access the secure vault. I'd appreciate any thoughts on how this can be resolved. I only am not an expert so please, keep it pretty simple.

Sounds like a problem of compatibility with the Secure Access software and the OS X El Capitan of SanDisk.  Try download and install the latest version of Secure Access of SanDisk.

It seems also be other users having the same problem, you may get better assistance with this through SanDisk.  Someone else said that upgrading to the latest version of Secure Access has solved the problem.

  • USB Flash drive problems

I have a USB key that does not work. It's a drive 8 GB flash USB 3.0 which has been formatted and works on my Macbook Pro. The problem comes when I try to use it on a Windows device.

When I format it under OSX Extended it appears under Windows but is empty.

When I format it in FAT, under Windows it says that the device must be formatted first

Either way, when I go to format the device on Windows it says that is only 200 MB space

    Any help would be appreciated.

If you want to use a USB flash drive on the cross-platform (Win, Linux, OSX) computers you have the next chance:

    -MS-DOS (FAT) format:

If you want to start the drive on a PC or use it with older versions of Windows, you may also need to set the partition to the Master Boot Record (MBR) for full compatibility Windows scheme:

    • Click the drive, and then select the tab "partition".
    • In the "Layout of the score" dropdown, select "1 Partition".
    • Click on 'Options' and choose "Master Boot Record" as the type of partition, then click 'OK' and 'apply '.

Format discs very quickly, although the total time required will depend on the size of the drive.

The file system resulting is compatible with all versions of Mac OS X, Windows 95, 98, Windows XP, Vista, 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, is one of the most widely recognized and usable file system formats. What makes FAT ideal of the file system to use for external hard drives or USB flash drives that are designed for use in environments with multiple operating systems.

ATTENTION! The main drawback to the use of FAT32 is the file size limit, which limits the files on the drive to be 4 GB in size or less. If you need single files to be larger than 4 GB, use exFAT, even if you lose compatibility with older versions of OS X and Windows.

-Format in NTFS and use a program like Paragon NTFS on your Mac ($ 15/20).

  • USB Flash drive problem

My USB FLash drive is a Transcend JF V30 4 GB, the problem is when I connect it, it shows the safe removal icon in the system tray, but don't show as a removable disk in "Cpmputer. I've included a screenshot.

If the screenshot isn't visible, click here

It is probably a case of unassigned drive (USB key).

    1. right click on my computer icon

    2. click on manage.

    3. go in "Disk management" / removable devices and assign a drive letter it manually.

    4. right click on the drive without letter & click on "change drive letter and paths...". »

    5. click on 'change '.

    6 assign an alphabet.

    7. click on OK.

There should be an unassigned drive exists in the disk management table. I'm so sure because your USB 'plug & play' detects the drive & drive (Hardware) is also correct on the other machine.

  • After a recent reset Windows driver problem

Hi all I'm looking for help please. I recently did a factory reset (BIG MISTAKE!) ... My camera says "AMD Radeon HD 7640 G (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v 1.20) has a driver problem as well as CRW - USB 2.0 is not a printer. I also can not download Windows 8.1 - it won't find it in the store.

    I completely ruined my computer?

    Help, please!

    Thank you

    Nicola

No you have not hurt anything, what are expected.

To fix the device, go to the website of your computer company (like Dell, Acer, Asus, HP, whatever) and choose your model computer.  Then download the new drivers for things like your AMD radeon and other drivers.

Regarding the update, it will take some time for as they become available.  But if you want to just update 8.1, you only need a prior update before the 8.1 update will appear as an option in the store. You can get only one prerequisite update here: http://www.windowsobserver.com/2014/08/06/the-one-windows-update-you-need-to-upgrade-from-windows-8-to-windows-8-1/

  • After going toW7 XP graphic driver problem

    Hello people

Since switching from XP to Windows 7on my Dell Inspiron, everytime I try to play a game of Microsoft game console I get messages "software rendering mode", possible problem with driver video Dell/Intel graphics or hardware acceleration (sound of course). I tried Intel and Dell ads and they seem to want to do an analysis more than £50. Can someone tell how can I get a free or cheaper driver for this card. I discovered that this is a known issue, so I hope someone has solved

    At soon M.Cutlan

    Malcolm,

Download instructions should have told you what to do with the driver from Dell.

It's a self-extracting exe file not a driver file - Windows cannot find it.

Once it has finished downloading, you right-click on it and select run as administrator, then it is extracted to a folder C:\Dell\R140623.

It is expected by then by running the setup.exe file from this folder and which reached the driver update.

If it does not start the second part of himself then wait a minute and then right-click on

    C:\Dell\R140623\setup.exe

and select run as administrator, to do this, as well

[I guess it might be install.exe or similar instead, but all I saw was called setup.exe].

  • Windows 7 USB Flash drive - if I click on Scan and difficulty after you insert the disk, it erases my files

Original title: Windows 7 USB/Flash drive problems

In Windows 7, if I plug in my USB drive, the message box appears titled ' do you want to scan and difficulty of removable disk (e :))?»  If I click on Scan and Fix, he deletes my files (or so I thought).  I hope that the files are still there and I have simply can't see because the drive is FAT32 and not NTFS (it says that most of the drive is NOT of free space, so I assume that the files are still there).  What should I do to see / access files?

Note: A reader, I never selected "Scan and repair"... so I can still see/access files.
On the other drive, however, the first time I plugged it on Windows 7, I clicked Scan and Fix and it erased all the files on this drive (I guess).  This of course got me very angry.

    Hi MichaelGramm,

It seems that the file format has been corrupted. You might consider formatting the drive in NTFS file system and check if this solves the problem. For Windows 7, the best choice for hard disks is NTFS.

Note: Make sure that you back up the data before formatting the disk.

See these articles for more information on formatting disks and flash player:

Create and format a hard disk partition

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/create-and-format-a-hard-disk-partition

Formatting disks and drives: frequently asked questions

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/formatting-disks-and-drives-frequently-asked-questions

    Caution:

Formatting erases all existing files on a flash drive. If you format a flash disk that has files on it, the files will be deleted.

    Hope this information helps.

Not an answer to your question, but let me point out the following:
unless you have very little RAM on your computer, ReadyBoost is
useless and will do nothing to improve your performance. Use of the
    drive for something else.
