After installation of the update, I get a folder on my desktop. Can I delete it?
I just upgraded to 3.5 and have noticed an Adobe folder on my desktop which has two folders inside, 3.4 and 3.5 of Lightroom Lightroom.
Do I need of them, or can I delete them?
Might as well delete. You can use the content to re - install LR, but download is relatively fast these days, and re-setup is something quite unusual.

After you install the update, I get script error box popping up
original title: after installing the update I get error script to appear, box what the sam Hill I do?
I installed an update that recommended the bulk of security on my computer and now I get a script on the screen error message. When I tried to install a gamebar, so that the site wasn't ready yet so my update was unable to download the toolbar. This seems to be the script error that keeps popping up on my screen. I'm not an expert, far from it, in computer science, so I hope someone out there can help you.
Thanks for your quick response and I appreciate the suggestion, but the person getting impatient that I am, I went to the backup and restore functionality and configure the computer a moment before I started to have trouble and that seems to have solved the problem. If I have problems in the future I will definitely use this site to ask questions, thanks again.

After you install the updates of August 2014, my keyboard/USB wireless mouse has stopped working, and the receiver is marked as "Device USB Composite" with code 52 - cannot verify the signature of the driver.
Really, the usbccgp.sys to Windows 7 file is not signed (unlike Windows 8.1), but I've never had a problem with this until recent updates.
Unfortunately, these values are not in the key "reg" you have asked. (Note: I no longer feel the question).
I managed to solve the issue of the restoration of a restore point, and at that time system that has pulled the update KB2982791 - I wonder if the problem has been caused by that.
With all the other August 2014 updates installed, the issue did not reappear.

We need the DMP file because it contains the single record of the sequence of events that led to the accident, what drivers have been loaded, and what has been loaded.
WE NEED AT LEAST TWO FILES DMP TO SPOT TRENDS AND TO CONFIRM THE DIAGNOSIS.
If you're overclocking (pushing components beyond their design) return you to default at least until the crash is resolved. If you don't know what it is that you're probably not overclocking. You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting in SafeMode (F8) with networking. If you are overclocking stop. Windows Vista unable to boot after installation of the update
Hello.. I don't know where to ask this question... About 3 days ago my computer was working fine with Vista. I closed the lid of my laptop, and when I opened it, it is stuck on the green scroll of the taskbar with Microsoft Corporation under him, as when you start up. I run a system check, startup repair, restored to an earlier date... all I can think about... short reformatting and reloading... suggestions? I am a teacher and my notebook (which is due by next Friday) is caught in the trap in the confusion! Thank you
JennHi KieransMon08,
Thank you for using answers Forum.
Do you mean the computer freezes on this screen, forcing you to restart the computer from the laptop power button?
You can log in in safe mode? Are there any error messages, that you can post on this forum?
What happened when you tried to do system restore, did it fail or simply not to solve this problem?
You have a Vista installation disc, or you use a recovery disk?
How were you running the System File Checker and system restore?Impatience back on your part.

After you have installed the latest patches, all icons are shaded with vertical lines undulate on them. Computers desktop and in Windows Explorer. Application windows appear clear, but icnos in their midst are the same way. What should I do to fix this anomaly?
-J' tried the obvious desktop refresh. No change.
-J' rebooted in safe mode, and then back to standard mode. No change. What else can I try?
Hi JimGoode,
Unfortunately, the screenshots are not available in the post.
Given that the question does not appear in safe mode, then it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.
I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.
How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353
Reset the computer to start as usual
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
(a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
(b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
(c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
(d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.
If the previous step fails, then use SkyDrive download screenshots of icons.
Use SkyDrive download collected files and after shot/screenshot.
