After installing 38.0.1 on Mac OSX 10.9.5 the Firefox menu has only 1 point - Quit.

Menu of Firefox is missing on Firefox, preferences, Services, Firefox hide, hide others. Quit is available. Where others go?

I just updated my Firefox previously installed 38.0.1 to 38.0.5 on a Mac equipped on 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) and experienced the same problem when Firefox is restarted. Immediately the air here for more information and was happy to see this thread.

Reboot safe mode does not restore the missing items in the Firefox menu for me either, but then they reappear after that I have leave Firefox and restart it normally. Very strange problem that I've never seen before in all the years that I use Firefox, but I'm glad it was so easy to solve the problem. Thank you chetgw for posting your query on this problem!
