I did a system restore to a point before that my main user account has been established.  I had to set up a new user, and then it was suggested that to copy all the data of the user "existing" to the newly created user.  When I did this it's not well at all and some DLL files have been corrupted or deleted or not connecting correctly to the user of your choice.  I actually then did a restore of the system to the last restore point.  However, given that SR does not change the data, I was stuck with the wrong DLL and other system files.  I thought I had stupid test because I had backed up data.  I tried to restore to an earlier point (using Windows backup and restore).  Unfortunately the restore will not work and I get the following error: "a systematic failure of the initialization of the Dynamic Link Library (DLL).  I need to repair or replace the corrupt to get the system back and then protected files again.  I'd appreciate any help!

  • Cannot use Bit Locker encryption because Bit Locker critical system files are missing or damaged.

    Original title: file corruption

My laptop is around the age of 13 months. For the 6 months charges I couldn't play all the music in the music library of the media player. the error message would say my music files have been damaged or corrupted. I tried to delete the files, but could not. unexpetedly about 2 weeks ago the media player has started working properly, and even though I was confused, I was happy to be able to listen to my music. However, when I did my weekly back, a message appeared that said that some files could not be backed up. My computer has since fallen twice and had to repair itself and then when I tried my weekly backup only yesterday, the computer won't start backup. reads the error message: Bit Locker encryption cannot be used because the Bit Locker critical system files are missing or damaged.

I find it strange that "file corruption" has been cited again but when I try recommended fixes, nothing changes, just as it was when I had problems with the music. Help, please

  • after virus infection lost photos and files

    Original title: the lost images

I had a virus on my lap top and some files lost but was able to recover them through the system restore but did not recover the photos there at - it another way to recover them?

    Hello

What operating system is installed on your computer?

Once removed the HDD data can't be recovered. However, you can use your favorite search engine to browse third-party data recovery software and use this software to recover data.

Note: using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk. You can also view the following link to recover lost or deleted files and try the steps:

    Also applies to Windows 7.

    Hope this information is useful.

    Windows Vista/32 Bit

    Thanks in advance.

First of all, please note that what you were doing was * not * a system restore. System Restore is a * Windows * function restores Windows and has nothing to do with your files.

What you were doing was the recovery of the system provided by the manufacturer of your computer. That puts shaped windows in car and renstalls hard on it. You probably can't get your files back.

Allow me to mention something else. Your question indicates that you do not have a regular backup of your important files. If this is the case, you are playing with fire. Even if you never make a system recovery, it is always possible that a hard disk crash, the user error, close to love at first sight, virus attack, even stolen computer, can result in the loss of everything on your drive. As it has often been said, it is not a question of whether you will have a problem, but when.

You can read this article on the backup that I wrote: 'Return to top your computer regularly and reliable' to http://www.computorcompanion.com/LPMArticle.asp?ID=314

computer doesn't have any malware left in it. but subsequently noticed that things do not work right - google earth is good example. I then right click on the icon and place comes the list such as 'open with' but there is also one "Troubleshoot for compatibility" list just then up to 2 choices - one of the top is "compatibility with the applied settings" but it says "windows xp - service pack 2" it lists not windows 7 or windows 7 ultimate. " so I clicked on troubleshoot and place comes the yellow triangle exclamation "problems found - this program is not compatible with windows xp in terms of statistics... The second computer, I even unplugged all caps - nothing is hung even to monitor but the problem persists.  CLICKS TO APPLY WINDOWS SETTINGS 7 - INSTEAD OF XP - OR IS IT A DISASTER WHERE I HAVE THE GEEK SQUAD TO COME IN?   Thank you

Even now, I noticed that when I am ready to post the question - computer automatically knew that I have windows 7 - Internet explorer 9.  so computer works but on SOME things - he apparently thinks I have xp.   is it possible that ALL the people that right click and check compatibility, it says 'windows xp' without concern if they windows 7 or not?  have been emailing friends with windows 7 for you, please try and answer - but nobody will answer... • Lost in My Documents after the failure of the system files

I have a (~ 6 years old), Dell Precision Workstation 360 serice XP Pro pack 3. This morning when I got up the screens show vertical bands of color. Given zero has nothing - not even the selection screen or function key boot options to enter the bios Setup. In brief - not even a partial boot - just (double) monitors show the vertical lines of color. Encryption on the motherboard could have found death I took the C: drive and plugged into one another computer (XP) via one box drive external usb. In windows Explorer I can see just about everything that I expect to see on the drive except in the My Documents folder. I don't know what should be there, but the only in My Documents is the music of my pictures of my user name and user name. The only items in these folders are the XP sample music files and images. I did a search on the entire disk for a couple of files that I know should be in My Documents, but nothing was found. Since then, I ran a virus scan using Norton Internet Security, but he found no virus. I've got some critical files on this disc I need today. Stupid me - had not saved them in a few weeks, so a lot of work is missing.

Any assistance to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

    Warren

It seems that there are file system corruption, after the failure of your hardware. Try some recovery software data (links below) or, if data is critical and expense is not a problem, don't take any chances and send the drive to a professional drive savers data recovery company.

  • Product key recovery Windows 8.1 AFTER replacement of the operating system

    Hello

I was wondering if there is any way out of this pickle.

I had problems with my pc (mainly the printer spooler errors) of a virus so I decided to do a system restore. Only problem was that I had the pc built for me and the person has used a downloaded Windows 8.1 version (no cd). When I went to restore the operating system he said I was "missing data". As I had no cd to I found a so-called work around where you use the missing data from one version of windows business to fill the gaps and it should allow me to restore the version I had (8.1 regular).

Well low and behold, I load my windows and it is has been replaced by this...

So I tried to reinstall Windows 8.1 using the ISO and the extraction of the key with Magic Jellybean, but, of course, the key had been crushed as well with this useless key.

I called Microsoft to see if they could recover my OLD key that has written more because I was signing on my account when I logged in while I had my version 8.1 ordinary and download of updates. The people at the other end doesn't seem to understand what I was talking and kept transfer me different places when they are confused as to what I was asking (the language barrier I guess).

ALL I NEED IS MY OLD RETURN KEY! If not hidden on my computer somewhere so how to get Microsoft to please look into this also. I even signed up for Windows 10 deployment on my 8.1 original.

    Thanks in advance

Ask the person who has built your computer and installed Windows 8.1 where they have bought and what they were doing with the product key.

  • I can't export the registry, I get an error writing the file., it is said, "there may be a disk error or system files" what can I do?

I kept getting an error of my Norton internet security. When I call there suport tech, they made me do somethings, but nohong has worked. Then they wanted me to try to export the registry. When I wnt in regedit to export it.  He said that there was an error writing the file, there may be a disk or FFL system error.

Assuming that there really may be a disk or file system error, try to perform a 'chkdsk' on your hard drive.  Use the /R if running chkdsk or check both options if you use the GUI version.

Be forewarned that control the boot volume occurs at the next reboot after you set up, it runs before Windows starts perfectly, cannot be interrupted and can take more than a few hours to run according to the size of the disk and the amount of corruption, as appropriate.  Run it when you won't need your machine for awhile.

I have published a website on businesscatalyst and now, after an accident on my pc, I've lost all my Muse original files in this site.

Is it possible to download from businesscatalyst?

    Thank you!!!

    Hi Antonio,.

I'm sorry to inform you that you will not be able to recover your business catalyst .muse file. However, if you selected the option to "change in the browser" in the site of your muse file properties you can edit your Web site with business catalyst. Mobility Center is not working properly

    Hello

    How to reinstall Vista

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

    Restore point:

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
