After trying to use Windows 7 on another partition, Windows 8 is not able to start.
Hello. I recently got a Windows 8 PC of a friend and tried to downgrade to Windows 7 because I do not exactly like Windows 8 that much. I heard that you can downgrade if you have 8 Pro is installed, but unfortunately it wasn't that. It's one of these computers with UEFI. What I did I put the hard drive in another machine and formatted partition operating system by using the W7 installation DVD. Unfortunately, it's a GPT partition. I can't boot from the HARD drive or CD drive, Flash drive, etc. I NEED HELP! I can't start W8 WTF more then I do?
Original title: can not correct the machine Windows 8
Nevermind, I managed to do the work. I found the 'hidden from me' Setup Utility and enabled Legacy Support. Thanks for the help anyway! BTW, I'm 10 then you might be surprised at the knowledge that has a 10 year old child. Not bad for a 10 year old kid, huh?

Original title: screen saver does not start because MSVCR100.dll was not found
After the installation of Windows 'important' 3 updates my screensaver started does not. I get a message that says:
ScreenSaver: Photo screensaver.scr - unable to locate component.
This application has failed to start because MSVCR100.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
The screen saver starts after you close the error message. I've never had a problem with my screen saver up to that after I downloaded updates. I don't know how to reinstall the application. I tried Windows Fix - It Solutions, but it does not work. He repeated to me that it was a mistake.
Help, please. Thank you.
Hello
It didn't reinstall the ATL update, it reinstalled 2005 Redistributable. So now, I have 2005 and 2010 x 86 both. And it says that two dates installiation are two days after I installed the 2010. I know 2005 and the update was uninstalled, because I checked after restart the computer and before you install the 2010 version. Very curious.
But my Screensaver works and access to the camera seemed to work after uninstalling / reinstalling the software. So, good. Thank you.

After the death of my hard drive in my Pavilion ze4900, I replaced it with another hard drive for laptop, I had laying around.
I also tried to install Windows XP Home from a Windows installation CD, the same OS, the laptop had before the hard drive died.
Everything is going well until the laptop has been made all the installation files, instead of giving me the opportunity to install Windows or repair Windows, the laptop will eventually show me a blue screen with the message:
"A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
What can I do to fix this? I installed Windows XP on another computer using the same CD, so the CD disappeared not corrupted and replacing the hard drive is hardly used.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums. The first thing you want to check is if there are any problems with the hard drive that you put in. Run BIOS diagnostics for the drive and the equipment to make sure that there is no problem.
Laptops HP - diagnostic system (F2)
And.
HP Notebook PC - test a hard drive from BIOS
Please let me know how things are going.
Thanks again for posting and have a great day.

Windows XP SP3 has ceased to recognize a USB flash drive and card reader that he always acknowledged in the past. I tried to use Fix - It to correct the problem. Fix - It is then asked to restart the computer. When the computer is restarted, it would not load. After waiting almost two hours, I restarted with the last good configuration. Then reloaded, it took nearly an hour. Before using the Fix - It, the computer was loading in less than five minutes after a reboot. There a lot of things on it. What can I do now to solve the problem posed by Fix - It and also correct the problem with XP recognizes does not flash drives?
Hi lental,

Follow these methods.
Method 1: Follow these steps:
Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists.
Step 2: If the problem does not still in safe mode, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
