After updating firefox does not restart
On Linux Mint when Firefox is opened and at the same time the operating system package manager upgrades Firefox, then FF does not notify me that it needs to restart.
I notice as some extension stops working. Later I have checked package manager newspaper and see, this FF had been updated. Was not in older versions while FF has notified me this reboot is required for firefox?
Is this a bug or I have some missing parameter. I need notification window be visible until the user closes or restart of firefox...
Unfortunately no, it looks like it's only done manually: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version#firefo...

Firefox does not restart after leaving normally
I am running windows 7. Foxfire work properly until recently. It was last updated at 34.0.5. After starting the PC, Firefox seems to work normally. Sometimes, when I exit the browser to do something else, it restarts. Looking at the Task Manager, firefox.exe is always be running. To stop, it does not help.
I have searched the knowledge base and tried the suggestions, remove ad - ons, reset, etc. I also completely deleted Firefox and reinstalled from a new download.
Any suggestions? From what I've read other posts on this forum, the
problem may be caused by the settings to erase history. It's supposed to
to have been fixed in v30.Type of topic: preferences #privacy < enter > in the address bar.
The button next to history, select use custom settings.
At the bottom of the page, turn clear history when Firefox closes.
At the extreme right, press the settings button. Activate ONLY the Cache and
Form history and search for without touching the others turned off. This is not a cure but will make it easier if Firefox crashes in Windows.

I have set preferences to "show my windows and tabs from last time '. I used the button "use current Pages". I changed the used the ' | ' and I changed the ' | ' to 7% C I read in one of the bandages. If Firefox is stopped and restarted, the Mac is still in place or after I turned off the Mac and then restart it, the problem persists. I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.5 on Mac.
If you use Remove navigation, search and download history on Firefox in Firefox 3.5 and later to clear the browsing history when you close Firefox then restore the tabs from last session ("Save and exit" or "show my windows and tabs from last time ') does not work.

Update Vista was wrong somehow. Update restarted the computer. Very slowly, I get to "configuration of the part 3 of 3, 0% complete do not turn off computer" and shortly after the computer restarts and this process repeats continually. I don't know if the computer has been accidentally closed off the power while the update occurred. Any ideas how to fix. I tried logging in SafeMode w / no luck.

You can try a Startup Repair:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
See you soon.

After the update of V28, Firefox stopped opening the Confluence Office Connector plugin change in the links of the Office. These links continued to work from Internet Explorer, and works again after the demotion of 29,0 to 28.0. By clicking on the link results in no action from the browser to open the link.
It's a known extension bug. See Atlassian forum for updates.

I hate this new update. I basically can't use the browser more. I only need firefox to do things properly, but if she cannot do these things I can't use it
1. If firefox crashes (it does every 30 minutes it completely closed), then I need to be able to restore / recover all previously open windows when I start it back up again. There is no more.
2. I use the bookmarks toolbar all the time, but often it appears completely blank. So now, the only way I can see bookmarks is if I go to options and uncheck bookmarks toolbar option and reselect then toolbar of bookmarks. It's so frustrating and worse still make you sure you can't do restorations! It of insulting and makes me want to not use your browser. A browser is a tool not criticizing a toy, but you guys will not stop playing with it.
Also, older versions of the extension, meet bugs, you can refresh by using:
Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons > "gear" button > "Check for Updates".
For example, GM 1.5 (November 2012) vs GM 1.11 (July 2013).

Hello
I have a Pavilion g6-1103sa, with Windows 7, after a few problems of software I could just get to open in safe mode, so saving docs and images on a remote hard drive successfully, tried to complete a restoration of the system to the factory settings by pressing the ESC key on the switch and selecting the option to do so.
When the restoration is complete, the there is a message saying that the restoration was a success and the laptop restarts, however all that happensis a message appears saying: your computer is preparing for first use, but then nothing happens
What can I do now?
Hello dgreen1004,
Like the previous step to reinstall the OS from the recovery partition has failed, the only other option is to try a recovery media. Per your request, I am including information on how to get a recovery media. Please open the link following "Research drives HP recovery or a USB HP recovery disc?".
Kind regards.

I'm using Firefox on a Windows 7 computer. Firefox does not open after the last update. I read the help articles and it seems that I need to create a new profile because my settings were probably corrupted. I'm unable to open the profile technical, even when you use the directory in cmd line path. I tried the following commands in the command line:
Firefox Pei
"C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla" PEINothing happens with every order.
I am also running Norton Internet Security. I read a help of virtual navigation features Re article that can cause a problem. The article says to check the setting of virtualization in the internet security software and to clear the virtual cache. I went through all the menus of settings in Norton Internet Security version 21.6.0.32 and I don't see anything that looked like in "virtualization" settings, so I guess that does not apply to me. "
If you have any ideas, I had appreaciate that your expertise!
Hello arcandl, at the launch of the firefox is not after you double-click the shortcut, it is sometimes also a sign of active malware on a system.
you might want to try running a scan with some various other security like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner tools that are specialized to remove the adware and browser hijackers. -

Firefox does not not on Windows 8.1 after update to 32.0
For the last three versions 30.0 and 31.0 32.0 Firefox does not work after update on my laptop Windows 8.1. I tried Firefox reset State by default, uninstall and reinstall and reset my TCP/IP stack (which usually fixes the problem). I also went to Internet Options in IE 11 and unchecked the auto detect settings in the options of LAN connection and then checked again without success. I also have Chrome installed on my machine to check to see if it is in the browser or my internet connection.
Internet Explorer 11 is the only browser that works so something seems to be wrong in Firefox.
I discovered that my Norton Internet Security firewall blocking the new version of the program. Chrome has recently developed automatic updated also and I think too, it was blocked.
