Firefox does not restart after leaving normally

I am running windows 7. Foxfire work properly until recently. It was last updated at 34.0.5. After starting the PC, Firefox seems to work normally. Sometimes, when I exit the browser to do something else, it restarts. Looking at the Task Manager, firefox.exe is always be running. To stop, it does not help.
I have searched the knowledge base and tried the suggestions, remove ad - ons, reset, etc. I also completely deleted Firefox and reinstalled from a new download.
Any suggestions?

From what I've read other posts on this forum, the
problem may be caused by the settings to erase history. It's supposed to
to have been fixed in v30.

Type of topic: preferences #privacy < enter > in the address bar.

The button next to history, select use custom settings.

At the bottom of the page, turn clear history when Firefox closes.
At the extreme right, press the settings button. Activate ONLY the Cache and
Form history and search for without touching the others turned off.

This is not a cure but will make it easier if Firefox crashes in Windows.

  • Firefox does not start after the places.sqlite opening in Notepad

Firefox does not load again. I tried to create a large folder of bookmarks, but I wanted them to hide so I tried to be clever and create a copy of my current places.sqlite who had no bookmarks added and moved elsewhere, then I added bookmarks and once that replace the current places.sqlite then I created a copy of this and put it elsewhere for more security and then I replaced it with the first places.sqlite I had copied. I had to go through that much trouble because for reasons, I was unable to delete the bookmarks by right-clicking and selecting delete. I had already tried to open places.sqlite in Notepad and since then is when it started to happen. I tried to reset the file extension type, or rather detached, but I can't figure out how. I also tried to remove completely any Mozilla partner, restarted my computer and then reinstall Mozilla, but it didn't work and I prefer not to try again or uninstall it because my computer has a very difficult time even boot Windows 10. He likes to get on the desktop and then never hang while I have to restart the computer continuously until it works.

Can someone tell me what to do or where it is that I was wrong?

Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.

If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.

    • Do NOT remove the "personal data" when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords including data profiles created by other versions of Firefox.

Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

    • (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    • (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but do NOT delete personal data when you uninstall Firefox which removes all Firefox profile folders and you lose your data.

If you keep the problems, and then create a new profile.

  • Firefox does not open after a reboot

After I updated Firefox, it will work until I restart my computer. So simply, it opens at all and finally will come with an empty window that is not responding. I had this problem for months and just switched to Google Chrome because I had no time to deal with it more. I'm not a novice user and I've tried everything:
It does not start in safe mode.
I did a fresh install complete, even remove profile information.
I checked my firewall and my anti-virus, and they are not the culprit.
I scanned all my computer virus/malware.
My computer is completely up to date.

I don't really know what else to do. It works on a new installation until I restart my computer. There is no accident report I can give because it does not lock... He will not simply open. I'm running Windows 7 on a Thinkpad Edge.

  • Since the upgrade to 3.6.13 on my Mac, Firefox does not restart tabs. I replaced th e ' |. ' "%7 C" as suggested in the article of technical support, but it continues to happen. Is this the same fix for Mac or is there a different difficulty?

I have set preferences to "show my windows and tabs from last time '. I used the button "use current Pages". I changed the used the ' | ' and I changed the ' | ' to 7% C I read in one of the bandages. If Firefox is stopped and restarted, the Mac is still in place or after I turned off the Mac and then restart it, the problem persists. I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.5 on Mac.

If you use Remove navigation, search and download history on Firefox in Firefox 3.5 and later to clear the browsing history when you close Firefox then restore the tabs from last session ("Save and exit" or "show my windows and tabs from last time ') does not work.

If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

I just downloaded El Capitan and installed on my iMac which was under Snow Leopard 10.6.8. There are 12 GB ram, and this is a 2009 end clocked at 3.06 Ghz version. • Firefox does not start after putting in

    Troubleshooting of the measures taken:
I uninstalled and reinstalled the program.
I spend just clicked and ran as administrator.

I get no error message. Just... nothing happens.

Possibly associated, I tried to run the update of Adobe Flash and it does not either. Everything else seems to work fine on my system, including IE, however.

    Last updated:
After Flash Player install, I decided to try to uninstall/reinstall with Firefox again and I uninstalled AVG 2012. And now, as if by magic, it works.
2015 AVG found nothing in his comprehensive analysis of the system.
I don't know what has changed. My best guess is that there is something in 2012 AVG blocking FF v. 36.
Wish I could provide more insight.
