  First of all, ignore the mixture for now... get your device/BBID straightened first. Please see this post "sticky" for useful information about your situation BBID:

  I hope that this information will be useful to you. Given what you describe, it is very likely that you will have to give up your BBID, WIPE your device and start over again with a brand new BBID (and this time, beware of high security and not lose track of the related powers / email accounts).

  Good to hear your son is beyond the need for restrictions on his iPhone.  It looks like you have found the answer to your question about the code of Restrictions, however.

  If you lose or forget your password restriction, you must erase your device and then put it up as a new device to remove the restriction password. Restore the device by using a backup does not delete the access code.
