• Recommended solution for Thinkpad Tablet and VGA projectors?

  I ordered a Thinkpad Tablet hoping to use it for a teaching tool, but I face a common problem: most classrooms (and indeed, most conference rooms for business) are projectors VGA.

  I know there are a variety of converters HDMI / VGA (using Active electronic components, of course), but I was wondering if Lenovo recommends a solution or if anyone has first-hand experience (perhaps with the Ideapad tablet, or perhaps with a review of the Thinkpad Tablet model) connect to a VGA projector.

  An extra (a little more specific question), it's the mini-HDMI output provides power to work something like the HP-HDMI-VGA connector. If not, are there drivers to support a USB output device / VGA (which are available for Windows, but uncommon on Android).

  The HP adapter works without external power supply with a warning: the output resolution is the native resolution of the Tablet, which seems to cause distortions on 4:3 monitors and slight overscan issues at least a part is watching 16:9. For my purposes (conferences mathy things), it seems it will work fine, although I will take a piece of chalk tomorrow just in case.

  1. When you say "Feature backup in Windows 7" are you referring to the utility of Windows backup program? If so, you can follow the instructions below.

  When you save the data to an external hard drive, have you tried "scenario 2: BitLocker Drive encryption is activated'? '"

  I don't think he has no option in the stock OS to display the numbers next to the names of the contacts.  You might be able to do this with an application of part 3, but there is no way to do this with the unit as is.

  It is also impossible to change the entry in the SMS app, I'm afraid.  The line will extend automatically as you type a message, but it starts with just the line.

  I recently started to use my Time Capsule to back up my early 2014 MBA 13 '' again. However the initial backup will never end. The TC is not used as a Wi - Fi router; It is connected to the existing wireless network.

  When I started having this problem initially. I erased the disc TC and more fresh and Time Machine, under System Prefs, told me that the backup has been chugging along just great. Well... now, after he had all of August to reach the end of time Machine always shows me "waiting for full first backup."

  If I choose "save now" widget menu bar or if I let the system restart automatically backups TM shows Control Panel "backup x of x, XX, XX" and the second number continues to increase. The backup will never end.

  I searched the Ko of Apple and these discussion forums and not found the answer. What can I do to make this backup finish?

  The TC is not used as a Wi - Fi router; It is connected to the existing wireless network.

  And that's probably the problem, because Apple does not officially support backups Time Machine to TB unless you use the wireless TC, or connect the Mac directly on the TC using a wired Ethernet cable connection.

  Things can work with your existing wireless network, but it will be no help if it is not. Sometimes in situations like this, a Mac will back up OK wireless, and another Mac will have problems.

  As you try to add 'new' backups 'old' backup, Time Machine can also have issues with this, try to compare the old and new files and get confused about what to keep and do not keep. In this case, the recommended solution would be to delete older backups of the MBA and then start again and try a new backup.

  Wireless is never recommended for a first full backup. It's OK to use it, then much smaller incremental backups.

  If you try this course the existing wireless you have and still have questions, other than to try to save on the wireless TC, on the only other option to try would be to connect the MBA directly to one of the LAN port <>- on the back of the TC using an Ethernet cable.  Since you have an MBA, who does not have an Ethernet port, you can buy a bolt of lightning for the Ethernet card.  Maid in Gigabit Ethernet Adapter - Apple

  Hello. I have used this program for about a year with no problems whatsoever. Suddenly, the program crashes and freezes at startup. I have read many of the same problems here and have tried all the recommended solutions and still no resolution. The only thing that I did not mentioned in the other problems is that, in my case, I have to ALWAYS sign out of my current windows session and then reconnect to close Thunderbird. Closing from the Task Manager does nothing. I also noticed then that in Task Manager which rises from the use of the memory of Thunderbird. Who will maybe lead someone to suggest something that has not been tried...

  Meanwhile, a kind utility or another program I can use to import or convert my email in a different format, in which case they are not resolved and am obliged to remove it from my computer?

  My macbook pro is the retina, 13-inch, early 2015, OS X El Capitan 10.11.6. I have had this problem since I bought this laptop. But after using the recommended solutions, the FaceTime camera reworked. I usually use the FaceTime on my iPad, so did not know when the camera was turned off again. I upgraded from Yosemite, El Capitan, hoping that the problem will be solved, unfortunately, no luck at all. I already try sudo killall blah blah blah on Terminal and cmd + option + P + R, reboot the machine. Could someone please help? Thank you very much.

  It is possible that your Factime camera is dislodged and has a faulty connection, so cannot be detected by OS X. It would be a hardware problem and I suggest you make an appointment to have checked out it. You can contact apple here. However, your SCM Mac may need to be reset, you can reset that using the instructions found here , as has been known to do the trick, as seen in this discussion.

  I started all of a sudden the error "too many concurrent connections" with Gmail with one of my gmail accounss. I googled and it seems like an old problem and I tried all the recommended solutions, but none worked. I have two gmail accounts and the other continues to function properly. Suggestions!

  Reduce the number of labels has solved this problem. Seems specific to TB and GMail (google says you can have hundreds of emails - I have about 60). There are mentions of which can be found via google - but no definitive statement on the problem, with workarounds, etc.. Now I will be anxious the next time I have to add a label, not knowing if it will work or cause this problem.

  Sorry guys, I am disgusted with this upgrade. 29 doesn't seem at all like a good UI update. The menus is really bad and that the tab bar. In addition, this does not solve my other problem tab I have to be in another question, I asked.

  How can I go back to my last version with all my windows/tabs/history restored? I'll do a system restore if I have and then cancel all automatic updates. I honestly don't care if it's for me a greater security risk.

    Ok so i still need to revert back to what im using now version 28. Also i found out when you turn off updates in firefox's options you should also untick "use a background service to install firefox updates." So how would i revert back to version 28 while keeping my tabs in tact?
  

  IMO, the "Find updates" option in the Options window does not work for me. I updated all the prefs of app.update.url an empty value in order to work as a test. Please note that the decommissioning is not a recommended solution that is approved by Mozilla. You do this on your own.
  Regarding the backup of your tabs, your open tabs are saved in the sessionrestore.js file in your Firefox profile folder

  By continuing, you can just make a copy of this file, uninstall the current Firefox via Control Panel (important: do NOT tick the box to remove your current settings.)
  Once you have deleted Firefox 29, simply download the version of Firefox 28 using the link install an older version of Firefox , download, install and copy your sessionrestore.js file in the Firefox profile folder before you open it.

    Bringing up tabs is there an app or something for firefox thats similar to google chrome's session buddy (it lets you save multiple sessions at a time and open up and your leisure to prevent it hogging resources)

    This would all be so simple if they let you decide to choose between the new interface and the old one via a dropbox option or something, i dont see why so many people dont think of that, i guess it would be a pain to add that kinda feature though.
