AirPrint to 6700

I was printing fine from my ipad for the 6700. The only change is a new cartrage of ink and now my ipad cannot find the airprint printer but watch going on all of the installation program.

Hi @moondog99,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support.  I understand that since the change to an ink cartridge in your printer Officejet 6700 that you are no longer able to use the AirPrint printer function.

I've included the document Printing Over a Wireless Network with Apple AirPrint FAQs .  It includes a section dedicated to what to do when you receive the error message "No AirPrint Printers Found".

Please let me know the results.

    Hello

I use MS office on a Mac 10.8.4

I tried similar positions, but the advice given to the conflicts. Some say that this printer won't duplex printing. I don't have time to do workaround manual/odd pages, print documents with many pages, it's too much inconvenience.

This two-sided print, but the option to do so appears only when you print pdf files. Opening Word files in preview pdf will be printed double-sided, but the final pages are backwards. PDFs do not do this, they duplex correctly. I'm trying to print files Word will not even appear the option two faces.

I can't find the printer properties to investigate the box, and at the opening of the printing device, it has a tab not pilot, who was one of them another post suggested.

OK - for the benefit of others and I've seen a loot of posts about this issue with the Mac, I found a solution. It's a driver problem, HP should be aware of this and not fob about people being a problem of software related to Word

(Previously I had already downloaded the latest drivers from HP, which never worked, only the 1.0 driver installed each time.)

First of all, I've updated my Mac OSX software (may not be necessary).

I then added the printer with HP Setup.

When he asks how to install the device - with Airprint or 6700, I selected 6700. I think that settles with different drivers.

Now when I open my queue for the printer, instead of the version of the driver showing that 1.0, according to other attempts to reinstall driver are now 4.1.2

Now to print in Word, go to the submenu of layout in preview mode before printing, and then select the long side binding

Impressions on both sides correct operintation.

  • OfficeJet 6700 airprint "airprinter not found".

    Hello

I bought a HP officejet 6700 which is adapted to Airprint. I connected the printer wireless to my laptop, which works very well. But when I want to print with my Ipad or Iphone 5, it does not find the printer. So I restarted the router, printer, apple devices. All software are up to date. But it still does not work

I read on a forum that I have to turn off the printer when its on to connect the electric cable. So I did, I turned on it again and my apple machines could print! But when I restart my printer in the normal way (with the power button) the old problem is back. Printer not found air. When I plug out the electricable while the printer is turned on it will reboot, so I can print with my iphone. But I would like to simply print the printer with airprint by turing on, to not restart everything first.

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you in advance.

  • How to use Apple's AirPrint on HP officejet 6700 premium solution

I have trouble getting the Apple AirPrint on my HP OfficeJet 6700 Premium. I read somewhere that the application should be on all printers since 2010. We have just received this printer a year, maybe 2 years ago. Is there a way to make this work?

Hi MereLinn, your printer supports Airprint if it is connected wireless to router. Here is the document that I used when I configured my printer 6500, it'll work very well for yours as well. Please load this document, click "Show all" and follow the steps to get the installer: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02623193 good luck! Please post if you need more help

  • HP Officejet 6700 Premium: AirPrint from Mobile device

When you try to print from my iPhone I can't connect to my Wi - Fi printer.  The message I get is: No. AirPrint Printers Found.

    Hello

The more straight forwad to print from your apple device is to make sure that devices and the printer are connected to the same wifi network. Once this operation is completed, you will be able to print from the apple software using the print option (this is done using the built-in apple airprint technology).

Furthermore, with the same wifi connections, you can download the HP eprint app and print from the app. Once all is connected to the same network, you see your printer to go app and be able to print to it.

If you have the configuration above in place and you still don't see your printer, please try restarting your apple device - it's a simple solution that sometimes allows to restore the connection to the printer.

Another thing sto audit is that there has been no recent changes to the wifi password.

  • OfficeJet 6700 DHCP causing problems with airprint and web services

I find it kind of interesting that this printer does not properly with DHCP enabled by default and more easy to use configuration.  My new printer seems to require to manually set the ip and dns settings before the features of web services or airprint worked correctly.  It was strange because printing from a PC and iMac worked well, it was that only the web services feature (unable to connect to the server) and the airprint from IOS devices failed (printer shows up but just disappeared rather than printing impression actually).  Someone else has seen this and not do anything to solve this problem?

The problem with this is effectively resolved through static DNS, generally. The reason it is and not with other functions, is that our print servers that connect you with are able to communicate more easily with some DNS configurations on the other.

For this reason, HP recommends generally defining the DNS for your printer on the parameters of Google DNS: 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4.

    Does that answer your question?

    Have a great day!

  • Cannot access the options of color management for HP 6700 Mac OS 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion)

    Hello.

I have the HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-all-in-one, and I can't find any way to access the color management options.

The printer is attached (Wi - Fi) to my iMac Mac OS 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion).

I want to correct a magenta cast for the photos I printed.  I had the problem of magenta-cast in Lightroom and use Preview to print the photos, so now I want to work with color profiles in Photoshop Elements.

Photoshop Elements is recommended I have 'disable color management in the printer Preferences dialog box.

However, I am not able to find for the 6700 color management preferences in settings under Mountain Lion:

Not sub (Apple) > System Preferences > print & Scan.

Not sub (HP utility) > Open Embedded Web Server.

Not sub (HP utility) > the printer settings.

    Non-print preview dialog.

I can't find any clear directions in the online help (HP or elsewhere) that I've read so far.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Thanks for the reply and the screen shot.

The first thing I want to do you is to reset the printing system.
OS X Mavericks: reset the printing system

Then add the printer, however when it by adding not just click on the name of printers, click Add printer or a scanner. Make sure that the 'use' is set to the printer and not Airprint.
If it is displayed as Airprint, you will be missing feautres compared to the actualy printers driver.

After that, I'll provide you know several documents that you may find useful to perform this task.
    Documents from HP:
Color management for the HP inkjet printing products new generation
    Advanced color management overview

    Apple documents:
Mac OS X 10.6: edit images using ColorSync Utility
Mac OS X v10.6: about ColorSync

    Document from CNET:
How to use ColorSync Utility to assign color profiles in OS X

I know some say 10.6, but they give you a reference and the idea, trying to do what you are.
Please let me know if that helps.

  • AirPrint

I have an Officejet 6700.  I've been able to use airprint for printing directly from my iPhone and iPad, but now, suddenly, I'm getting "No. Found AirPrint printers".  I see that in the latest update from Apple, this printer is more listed as compatible AirPrint, but he is listed as compatible on the HP site.

    Hello

Try to turn off the printer and then unplug your router to power for 30 seconds.

Connect your router to the rear, wait 2-3 minutes and turn on the printer.

Let me know if that can help you, as well may you had any network changes lately? for example, new router, new firmware for your router, etc.

  • OfficeJet 6700 test page prints, but not Word or other documents

I reinstalled my OfficeJet 6700 for my MacBook Pro (OS 10.6) wireless printing when the printer's IP address has changed.  I used the HP installation for re disc - install the printer.  Since then, I can't print Word, pdf, documents etc.  The print job just sits in the queue with the message: "connected to the printer...". ».  I am able to send a test page, however.  I can print wireless from other computers in the House (on Windows).  Can I print using my address hpeprint.com.  Any suggestions?  Thank you!

Well Yes, we will define an IP address (not variable) from the printer:

We will set an IP address of the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

    Finally, restore the print system:

-Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
-Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and then beside the dropdown 'Use', select the model of the printer (not AirPrint). Wait for the 'Add' button becomes available. Until it clicks.

  • HP Officejet 6700 Premium: HP Officejet 6700 Premium - Wireless scanning problem

We cannot get the scan wireless to work. Everything works fine when we connect with USB cable. Any suggestions?

    -J' use Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite.

-J' tried to reset/upgrade to firmware update.

-J' tried to reset the printers Mac, delete, add again.

Printer OfficeJet 6700 Premium with latest firmware update as of August 25, 2012. Apple iOS devices 5, iPhone4 and iPad (v3) devices with installed AirPrint. The printer is visible and selectable from Apple devices.

Of any one of the two devices, I select the print option and wait for the document to print. No document print devices.

    Hello

Try to bypass the temporarily from router to refuse any multicast router question:

Click the icon on the printer wireless, and then click settings.

Select Netowrk default settings and confirm any command prompt.

In the menu Wireless select Radio wireless and make sure it is set to.

IOS click settings, and then click Wi - Fi.

Select the SSID printer include 6700 in his name.

Allow 3 minutes for good to set the connection.

Now, reconnect the printer to your router by entering the same wireless settings and follow the wireless configuration wizard.

If you were able to print without similar problems, it means that the router is causing the problem.

Unplug it for a minute and check for the difference.

If there is no change, please specify your router brand and model.

  • Apple devices will not print not to 6700 Officejet, including the MacBook Pro and iPad

I'm helping someone to implement their MacBook Pro and iPad to print wirelessly on their Officejet 6700. I have recently set them up with a new Apple Airport Extreme for their router. The printer connects to the wireless network. During the installation process of the printer is fine, that the MacBook can easily see the printer. The appropriate driver is installed. They also have a laptop Windows 7, which prints instanteously and has no problem whatsoever.

When I try to print from the Mac, nothing prints. I open the print queue and it says 'Printing - a printer' and nothing ever comes of it. When you try to print from the iPad, you can see the printer and I select. However, after saying in print, said only dialog box: 'Connection to the printer' and he never - it just times out.

    Things I've tried:

    • Everything in this article which corresponds to Macs (10.8).
    • Reset the printing on Mac system.
    • Reset the printer to default settings.
    • The definition of the static IP address of the printer through the printer settings.
    • Setting the IP address of the printer via the Airport utility (after changing the automatic printer).
    • Restart the Mac after each attempt to remove the printer and adding again.
    • Using the official HP Officejet 6700 driver.
    • Use the Airprint driver.

    Other info:

    • Successfully, I can ping IP address of the printer from the MacBook Pro.
    • I can easily see the web page of configuration of the printer in the printer settings both by entering the IP address.
    • The printer is only about a month.
    • They bought this printer because the earlier had problems printing from all of their wireless devices. It is with a previous router in their ISP.

At this point, I'm completely puzzled as to why the printer will print not these Apple devices. We have addressed all the issues that might be causing it: the network, the printer and the MacBook itself. I looked online and can't see any problem with people not being able to print to a wireless printer connected to an Airport Extreme. I saw some problems when the printer is connected via USB to an Airport Extreme, but this isn't our installation program.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Wow, I must admit, I had to do a lot of research to find something that you have not already tried! Thanks for your efforts so far @derick03 I accept the challenge of helping you get this to work.

I have a vague feeling that the problem may have something to do with the router settings and to test my theory, I would like to try something for me.

Please, open the preferences system, printing and scanning, click on the + symbol to add a printer, but this time, instead of the default tab, click the IP tab. Now let's add the printer using HP Jet Direct Protocol instead of the standard Hello.

You can enter the IP address here, choose the HP Jet Direct and then select the printer driver, and then try to print. You will not be able to analyze this way, I just do this for diagnostic purposes. If you can print, it confirms the Hello Protocol is, and you will need to call Apple to make them turn on Hello, multicast and ensure that all the necessary ports are open.

Not all wireless routers take load Hi or all features of Hello. Hello being the default method for the discovery of printers on a network, you must ensure that your wireless router supports Hello.
  • HP 6700 premiums AiO not printed with the size of the special page (Mac OSX 10.9.1 Mavericks)

    Hello

I'm Italian, sorry for my bad English translation!

I've written the next did not with Mac OS x 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.

I often use a special paper with the sticker from the postage label. The paper size is (l) 153mm (h) x 297mm. I set the special size in the layout with a new parameter.

Now, when I print the page by Illustrator or other SWs, the printer show me on the LCD the following alert: "the printer cannot print because the page size is different by size of page checked sensors!"

But if I set the printer layout in A5 format, the printer get the impression quite rightly!

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you

    Salvatore (tothus)

    Hi tothus aka late.

I understand your photos that you use Airprint to install the software and drivers and you need to use the HP software.

Add the printer to the system preferences, print and Scan

    1. Click on the Apple icon > System Preferences > print and scan.
    2. Click on the small symbol.
    3. Select Add another printer or Scanner

    4. Select the printer you are adding and next to the 'use' to choose the printer driver.  You will find Airprint is selected by default, click Airprint to open the drop-down list and choose your driver.

You should now have the HP software installed.

I sincerely hope this helped. Please let me know how it goes for you.
