• Music library album thumbnails

  I have seen many others with this problem, and I tried all of the solutions presented, but to no avail.

  On my computer (Windows 7 Home Premium SP1), no user is able to see the album art in the music library when the option to arrange by: Album. All I get is the default image to an eighth note. Art is present, it is in the records, it is still visible in Windows Media Player and it USED to be visible in Windows Explorer arrange by: Album, but something has caused it isn't more visible. I don't know when it happened, so I can't use system restore.

  Among other things, I've tried to include the uninstall recently updated or installed programs affecting the media, change file associations, uninstall Windows Media Player, ripping of new CD, delete the settings of WMP folder, new libraries, restore the default libraries, clear the cache of thumbnails, establishing a new library of music-model of different music and uninstall all Apple software.

  Two things stands out on the symptoms: the problem that happens to all USERS, then solutions involving user-specific changes probably are not the answer; and not all types of files are affected. I see again the album art for .m4p and .m4b files (or who play in WMP, is told by the way).

  

  This can help.  An another MVP (also named Shawn coincidentally) has a collection of all the registry settings of connection by default file on this page, and it turns out that M4A is listed.

• How iTunes selects the covers to use as the thumbnail of the artist?

  OK, so when you have several albums for an artist, usually a Pocket is selected in miniature for this artist.  There must be a way to manually choose which album art iTunes must use; How the hell do you do if it's possible?  I have an artist that I only had one album, so naturally, it serves as the cover of the album thumbnail.  Now, I've added a few other albums of this artist and he always uses this vignette, but I like to use a different cover.  For the original album, iTunes has used a downloaded version of the album cover, and even after that I erased this work uploaded, it still does not use one of the new album covers.  Instead, the background is white, without the art downloaded to use.  Just do not find where to change it...

• iOS 10 Photos - blank thumbnails in the album people

  When I type "add people" in the album of the people, a handful of thumbnails are white/white.  I accidentally merged a couple and now they appear in the main album of the people.  When I tap on the miniature of the Virgin, nothing happens - it seems as if they are not associated with any photo.  Other that type 'Hide' I can't remove them from the album.  Is it possible to 'reset' the People tags?

  After a lot of browser test the issue seems to be focused on Safari. It looks good on Chrome (sometimes) and Firefox seems good.

• Blank thumbnails for people under macOS Sierra

  Hi all! I use an iMac 21.5 ' (end 2013) with the latest Mac OS update of the Sierra (10.12 for the moment).

  I found a strange behavior of the Photos app, using the people album.

  With the help of pictures under Mac OS X El Capitan, I crossed the long process to define all the faces of my friends for each image of my iCloud photo library; I also removed all faces unwanted by pressing the x key.

  Under the Sierra, the Photos app crossed another analysis of the faces still: all the faces I confirmed under El Capitan are still there, but in addition there are plenty of new tiles white in the section "add people" that I can't delete or use.

  I thought something during the scan of people was wrong, so I rebuilt the library of photos, but nothing has changed.

  It turned out that the blank tiles are people I removed (under El Capitan) by pressing the x key. In fact, if you duplicate one of the images affected by this issue, you will find that it recognizes the new faces and the application lists correctly under the section "add people". If you open the image and remove the circles of those faces, you will find that the section "add people" now have black thumbnails.

  I think it is a bug. Next week, I'll call Apple support report.

  In my opinion, the good feature should be the following:

  • If people are recognized on a new photos, these are listed under the heading "add people";
  • If you want to hide them, faces are still recognized by the software, but they do not appear in the list of people;
  • If you want to remove them (by pressing the x on the circle button), the must go to the section "add people" or the "hidden people" section You should be able to rescan single image, image group or the entire library, if you want to return to the previous state.

  I have the same problem, but no solution.

  All photos should go the list of 'People' where I can either name or delete (I like your proposal of new analysis to recover).

  I would use 'Hide' for the less well-known people on the main list. But according to leonie it also excludes their pictures of memories.

• How to remove an album of "person" in photos (10 iOS)

  I understand that you want to remove an album from your Photos app running the new iOS 10. No problem! You can manage your albums by following the steps below.
  
  

  Manage albums. When viewing your album list, tap on change.

  Rename an album: tap the name of the album, and then enter a new name.

  Rearrange albums: Tap to enlarge the thumbnail of the album, and then drag it to another location.

  Delete an album: press the button Delete.

  Note: You cannot delete photo albums created for you, as the people, places and Selfies.

• Recently upgraded to 12.5.1.21, the majority of the missing artist thumbnails

  Windows 8.1, just upgraded to iTunes 12.5.1.21 in order to then get iOS 10.

  Don't know whether to think it's a bug or a really unattractive design decision.

• Cannot add photos to an existing album.

  try to add photos (Yes, photos on iPad) from camera roll album on iPad.  Impossible to do since the age on the photo stream. Is there a way to get around this?

  I use a photo stream on all my devices and I have no problem adding photos I take with the iPad or the iPhone in existing albums, as long as these albums are albums that I created on the device. You can not add photos to albums synced to the devices themselves.

  How are you trying to add them to the existing albums? You are in view thumbnail in the Filmstrip and typing Select to choose the photos you want to add?

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

• Thumbnail images in Photos Apple have square rose in 'Years' & 'Collections '.

  A few photos Apple thumbnails are appearing with odd squares, pink when I display Photos Apple mode in 'Years' & 'Collections'. When I change the display mode of "Collections" the strange visual artifacts disappear. I have a brand new (end of 2015) 4.0 GHZ i7 iMac with monitor 27 inches 5 k and has the same behavior miniature bizzare unheard of before. Weird that it's pink artifacts appear in only a few thumbnails of 2012 and 2013 but no other years of my photos that go from 2001 to 2016. I've upgraded to OSX 10.11.6 a week ago and I scrambed the order of all of my albums. I wonder if this could be related to the upgrade. Very puzzled.

  your question is a bit confusing because there is no "years and collections" - view in the Photos you can see years or moments or a single photo collections
