  The Device Manager doesn't have an entry for 'Internet '.  There is no entry for "network adapters."  Assuming that's what you want, support for the Compaq brand is managed by HP.  HP maintains a fairly comprehensive site to download drivers for your computer.  Simply connect to:

  Then click on the link "Support and drivers".
  Then click on the tab "Drivers and software".
  Enter 'Compaq v5000' in the product window and follow the prompts from there.
  Finally, you will reach a page where you can download all of your latest drivers.

  The reason why I ask, is I get poor results of my Canon Pixma MG7550 printer. (Prints are dark with low contrast). The manual of the printer displays a panel of color options in the print dialog which I did not. Apple indicated that there was no need to download the drivers, but I was wondering if the reason for which I don't see Color Options Panel is because the driver of the Apple does not have the full set of options.

  What is the model number of your dell computer. Search the drivers of sound card on the Web site and update it. You can check it out by clicking on Start-> settings-> Control Panel-> system-> hardware-> Device Manager-> any yellow exclamation to the sound card? If so, visit www.dell.com or http://supportapj.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=au&l=en&s=dhs to choose your computer make and model and download the drivers accordingly.

  If the laptop works well you don't need updates. I use Satellite P200D over a year without updates and it works well.
  TEMPRO send message that Toshiba offers a few new updates, but nobody never said you must install. If the laptop works well and stabile leave.

  An update more thing Windows: install recommended important updates and only.
  Do not install any optional updates. Before starting Windows update installation, check the list first.

  I knew that finding ITU version of motherboard or chipset to download the drivers of it .you must click pause / break key on startup then the computer wil show just like the version of the motherboard bios.

  I just tried on my computer to start, to see if it works, I pressed pause/break on start up button to see if it is really to give me the information about the version of the motherboard, but it seems nothing happen. I tried it on my desktop and on my laptop by pressing the pause/break key to reboot but it seems nothing happen .no information about the version of the motherboard.

  I looked in the bios, but there is also no information on the type of card mother and version (or chipset).

  RELOADED Windows XP, but did not find the Toshiba Utilities and drivers disk that had to come with the lappy, not much works and in Device Manager there are a load of devices with yellow alerts.

  The internal wireless is not predictable or is a wireless card that is inserted in the housing of PCMI extension on the side.
  These are just the first things I noticed were not available. Need wireless for internet access to register Windies.

  All the drivers are located on the European driver Toshiba page.
  The laptop model is mentioned on the label located on the bottom of the unit.
  Choose the right laptop and install all the drivers/tools on the page of Toshiba.

  The M40x is a bit older so search the Archives of the driver page!

  PS: you can see some details on the pilots or the tool in addition to information. He of always right!

  I see that the bios isn't appearing any more for download for this machine at least.

  I guess that means I have to use the HP software (whatever his name) look for driver updates etc and this would include updates to the bios...

  The problem is my pc is not connected to the internet (and cannot be), so I need to download the actual file.

  If not, can someone confirm for me that the HP software would update of the bios as well, and that is the most recent version, that I do not have information on any page... (I could start from a windows pe cd of bart)

  1. go to www.hp.com

  2. click Help and choose Download drivers.

  3. choose laptops.

  4 type Hp Stream 11 Pro and choose Energy Star

  5. it will take you to a page where in you can select the operationg System.

  6. you will be able to install the drivers for the device.
