  In my opinion there is no reason to panic. This is just information and you must not take it so seriously. Continue to use the free space on the D partition. When the disk is full, you must find new option for backing up the data.

  TEMPRO is application that runs in the background and informs the user about available updates or situation on your laptop. To be honest I don't use it at all because I know when the HARD drive is filled or not. I have Tempro removed from the system.

  One thing must be clear for you: you don't have to do anything. TEMPRO is a tool designed to help and inform the user whacked the new updates. You can follow the advice and install the latest version, but you can also ignore it.

  Your second opinion is right: you can choose what should be downloaded and download more precedent. It's your decision.
  To be honest, I deleted this system tool. All pre-installed drivers, tools and utilities works very well and I see no reason why change anything.

  Hey, nice to meet you all, I recently had a problem with my laptop so I reformatted everything and sent to repair, now with the back of the laptop, I can't save the tempro thing (toolbar icon is labeled as Notifications from TOSHIBA) because of the already registered series.

  is this saying that I can not get the tempro thing more? How can I also get rid of this thing of notification as it is quite annoying...

  Hello

  You do not need to register again if you have done in the past.
  The Tempro tool always sends a notification to you if an update driver or tool has been released.
  Usually it of a nice to have the tool but not important.

  You can disable in msconfig.

  Just start msconfig (term) and start-up tab remove the brand of the tempro entry.

  Anyway, you can check which version of the software is preinstalled on your laptop. If Tempro informs you about the new version, you can (do not) download it. New software must also be installed, run the setup.exe file.

  So, if you have downloaded tool for face recognition (zip file), unzip it somewhere and start the installation. When the installation is complete, you will have new version on your laptop. Just save some downloads on HDD doesn't mean that you have installed.

  In general the TOSHIBA HDD/SSD Alert function must monitor the operating status of HARD drive and run the backup of the system. It is very useful, but certainly not so important, tool that must run all the time.   In my opinion you should let it run. I have the Satellite P500 and it works all the time. I t n t n stop and I noticed a few performance bad/slow more laptop because of this.

• TEMPRO stopped working if I click on the alert details

  I get my Toshiba TEMPRO alerts and when I click on the opening program. However, when I click on "Alert Details" it doesn't work and I get the message "Toshiba Tempro has stopped working... "and it closes the program and won't let me download updates for it.

  I tried downloading the driver again but still have the same problem. Could someone help me please.

• Alert TEMPRO - 90% hard drive capacity

  The exact partition sizes are not known to me and I also don t know what kind of software you have installed but if 90% of the capacity of the HARD disk is already in use, you must remove some items or move it to the second partition.

  For example all the stuff of music, video, photo, and documents, you can save on the second partition.
  I only use the first partition to install programs, all the other stuff is stored on the second partition.

  Toshiba Service Station to download and install updates automatically. Normally you n t need this but if it s not working do not try reinstalling applications. You can find it on the Toshiba page too :)

  My advice to you is: remove tempro system and be happy. I'm two years old P500 with BIOS original and original pilots (own recovery image installation) and I always use it with the factory settings. It works perfectly.

  There is a partition of 3rd extra that is not visible!
  The 3rd partition is automatically created y Vista and it contains the Vista backup files that can be used as a last resort!
  If something goes wrong with the operating system, and then Vista can be restored and repaired using the files on that partition.

  I think that means Tempro this partition.

• The scam alerts

  CAUTION: Scam phone in my view, that notice must get all users to Microsoft, as a company who asked me (but say they do not sell anything) had my mailing address & not my mailing address & my two latest computer purchases came from HP. There is a company in Los Angeles (possible ID is computer X Spot GA with a phone # of 323-522-5336) who say that they do not sell anything. "they are the authorized representative of Microsoft" and there is a serious issue w / the o/s. We ask you to go to your computer and connect with them, but I refused to do it and told them to send the info to my address of record, which was not the street address, they gave me. My phone & DSL provider has received several complaints & informed me that the "scam" is to make you leave on your desktop in order to correct the problem from Microsoft & they install a virus, they can fix for a fee. DON'T LET SOMEONE GET ON YOUR DESKTOP THAT YOU DON'T KNOW.  This does not refer to your Technical Support HP, but against spam or "SPONTANEOUS" telephone scams  I contacted the FTC and recommend to anyone getting a call like THIS to go to WWW.FTC.GOVor TELEPHONE THEM at 1-877-382-4357 to file a complaint.  It is this type of people who are "attacking" people who are too confident and find themselves with a computer has crashed and unnecessary problems for their future.  Note what has apparently been going on for a while, but the FTC needs to pressure to bring SCUM to the point of reckoning for their SCAM hobby.  I have notified HP, but it is recommended that users be warned & notify no friend not warned of this problem.  TKS...   Never, ever allow a caller where you do not have to trigger the call, to have access to your PC.

• TEMPRO service stopped working

  My computer has recently (and after any knowledge installed software changes) began to show a box labeled BACK "C:\Program Toshiba Tempro\temprolaunching.exe" indicating "cannot start Service TEMPRO. Press a key to continue. ». TEMPRO alert has stopped working.

  I tried to solve the problem by restarting my computer and software update tempro, but nothing is helping.

  I did some research using Google, it is possible to use QoS to control bandwidth on wireless networks and wired.

  I use a router WRT54GS v1.1 that has this capability.

  I am wanting to control the bandwidth on my wireless so that my Ethernet (wired) becomes a priority of my internet connection.

  I activated the "Support WMM" option in the configuration of routers (Applications & Gaming).

  Explanations of the router are:

  Hi all, I got this working now. It was something to do with the following:

  Current firmware seems to have some bugs, but I will list those in another message

  -J' had to put the IP Address of the default router 192.168.1.1 that the definition of a caused different IP address wireless devices (laptop) does not connect to

  -Setting a different download speed that 'Auto' seems to cause the wireless devices do not connect

  Will post firmware problems in another post to alert anyone who needs to know in order to make the appropriate changes.
