Damage AppleCare + water covers?

My iPhone 6 is damaged the water but I have Apple Care Plus

This is my first Accident.

No, but it covers two cases of accidental damage (waterfalls in this category), where you could get a replacement for less without Apple Care +. You pay a service charge. Here is a link with details: https://www.apple.com/support/iphone/repair/other/

  • damaged by water with applecare?

    Hello!

OK, so this afternoon to the rear, I'm home gym form, I found my bottle of water in the gym bag was burst open and the water was all over the bag and my iphne6 was in the bag. Somehow, the gym bag is super waterproof and water was like stay in the bag, so I'm not sure that my phone was soaking in water all the time or simply got wet. Currently, I put in the rice and I hope for it to dry! It's Christmas and the store opens as the 26.

Anyway, let's say I want to go to the store and with the applecare +, it's true that I only pay $79 and get a new one? because that doesn't sound too bad?

PS, no one knows about the rice thing. My husband has actually let drop his phone in the toilet and put her phone in the rice for 2 days and it worked. This is why I'm putting it... but, his phone has been in the toilet for similar 10esc, but I feel that my phone was in that * bag of sport for at least 10ish minutes!

    Thank you!

If you have Applecare +, you're right.  You can not buy Applecare + for a broken iPhone.  You will pay for an exchange of like-for-like.

  • the iphone screen, a lot of lines damaged by water

I foolishly dropped my iphone 5 ° c in water today, after that pick up and in the drying the screen was faded and a faint lines through it, even if the touch screen still worked and I could use the phone. I then turned off and after turning it back on, there is no picture displayed in the bars just of the screen of the "light"? If I try and put the phone out of the screen just darkens.

    Any help please?

  • Can I restore pictures of my generation Ipod 5th damaged by water?

    I need help immediately.

I used my 5th GEN Ipod with the hands wet and noticed that he quickly extinguished on me that I was using. As soon as I got home I placed in rice for over 24 hours and tried to turn it on but nothing happened. I even tried to plug it into my laptop and go on itunes, but it will not be displayed on anyone.

Now I'm wondering if there is a way I can save all my photos that are stored on the Ipod 5th GEN I tried these recoverysystem programs you need to download, but they require a step where I hold the power and the 'home' button but it still doesn't work.

    Help, please...

No, go, unless you already have a backup.

  • IPhone 6 s life after water damage

So my iPhone 6s fell in the tub (I still feel stupid) and after doing all the steps and put it in the rice that I tried to open it a thirty hours after I put it in rice. The phone open, fortunately, but I noticed that it took a little longer to power and power off. He also had a bright diagonal stripe on the screen which I guess was the water so I put back it in the rice therapy. Anyway, my main question is, is the power on and put off the power of the issue or the problem of screen I mentioned something I have to worry?

You should worry about corrosion. Unfortunately, the iPhone is not waterproof. You're lucky if it still works after contact with water. Usually, phones and water do not mix, and water damage are not covered by the warranty. Corrosion has already begun.  You must schedule an appointment of genius at the Apple Store

to assess the level of damages. They will offer you the best solution.

  • iPhone water damage 6s

    Hello

My iPhone 6 plus and iPhone more 6s were damaged by water. I got Lifeproof cases on two of them and the water still managed to infiltrate. I was wondering if I could turn in both phones and get a new iPhone 6 s more for less than the normal $ 299? Is it possible or not? Thank you.

Do not activate it. This can make things even worse. Out of warranty, the replacement is the only option here.

  • my new iphone s 6 had accidental water damage... So, it is impossible to turn on...

is there a replacement in the apple service center? I bought it a month ago, and it is guaranteed for 3 years.

so, if there is a replacement by a new... apple gives me the same thing with his 3-year warranty? and what about all the pictures and stuff in my damaged iphone? they can be seen from someone else? I hope you get me help.

    Thank you

As any collateral damage are not covered.

If you have Applecare, then you can pay the deductible and get a replacement.

Otherwise, you may be able to buy one off replacement under warranty.

  • to the 6s iphone water damage more

My iphone has been inundated by sea water for about 3 seconds. I have breath-sec, put in the rice, but it won't always turn.

However, I havn't opened the device on mine. In this case, can what support I get from Apple? I heard someone who has encountered the same problem paid about $300 and got a refurbished Apple iphone.  I understand that the liquidated damages are not covered by the warranty, but can I pay $329 for a warranty and get a new iphone more than 6 s?

In addition, is anyway to save the data when the iphone can not turn on?

You are right that the water damage is not covered by warranty. If you have Apple Care Plus, then it is covered as one of your accidental franchisees. If you don't have Apple Care Plus, then it would be a one off replacement under warranty. Depending on your location for the cost, it's the cost in the U.S., $329. See this link, and you can translate to your location if necessary. http://www.Apple.com/support/iPhone/repair/other/

If you cannot turn on the unit, then the only data you have are your last backup.

  • Through the headphone jack water damage?

I want to know if there is some way I can hold responsible for Sony? Why this is not covered by the warranty? I called sony but the rep I spoke to had me send my phone to the outside company...

I looked at the small print on the tightness of the z2 and I respected everything, water came clearly thru on their faulty decision-making...

Hi, the best thing to do is to contact your local center of new Xperia... this time insist on an EMPTY TEST, as it is the only & best test to determine if your phone is indeed sealed with all the shutters closed...

    Hope this helps

  • Restore iphone after water damage

    Hi all

my iphone 5s is clearly damaged by water, and there are more features of the device. It was professionally cleaned, but life does not come back... My question: are there ways to restore a part of local data i.e. photos recently taken? Any comments welcome.

    # It is too late. Backups are made to backup data if such cases occur. Sorry, but all the data on the device is lost.

  • My iPhone got water damaged

My iPhone has been damaged by water and was sent away for repair. I assumed that the information about this has been backed up to iCloud, every day, however, I registered on iCloud tonight and the pictures and contacts there have not been updated since June 2015. Can I restore my phone when it is returned that it contained more recently?

N ° you had to back up and erase the content before sending it if possible. Apple isn't tend to your phone in for repair.

  • Pass water damaged hard drive Macbook Pro (mid-2010) to another Macbook Pro (mid-2010)?

Someone accidentally spilled water on my MacBook Pro 'Core i7' 2.66 GHz 15 "mid-2010 and after trying to dry out for a few days, I'm sure that the keyboard is in ruins, and it may be worse (I suspect the logic board like most people), but I need to (would really) keep my documents etc. However, we happen to have an another i7 2.66 GHz 15 "mid 2010 Macbook Pro lying around not being used. I'm a student in computer engineering and I'm pretty good with electronics and figure, that I can use the practice, so I was planning on trying to replace the keyboard myself, but I plan on getting a new MBP in the next few months, so I'd rather do less work if possible. MY MAIN QUESTION IS: since I'm very lucky and I have two little nearly exact same model MBP can put the hard drive of the damaged water MBP (also long the HDD no is not damaged by water) in the MBP running? And if so, what would be my challenges and if it works well enough to use for a month or two? Thank you!

TLDR: I can take a HDD on a MBP and put it in a similar model without too much difficulty?

Yes, but you're probably better to put in an envelope instead. If you start another Mac, or in an enclosure closed or internally, a very small number of parameters will not be postponed, and some commercial programs may refuse to run.

  • IPhone 6 s water damaged more

I recently damaged my iPhone more 6s due to water damage and I just got my replacement phone - another iPhone 6 s more.  However, I have to return my iPhone damaged by water, but it ends destroyed, it does not, etc. Instructions ask that I erase all the contents of my previous phone before returning, but how do I do that if I can't turn it on. I did remove my old SIM card and put it in my new iPhone 6 s more, is that enough?  I already located towards the top/restored my iPhone more than 6 s and I removed my old iPhone 6s than "find my iPhone". Disconnected from 'Find my iPhone' there is a selection that says once the phone is connected to the internet it would erase content and I chose, in the hope that it would remove any remaining info I have on the phone after removing the SIM card, if the phone is never repaired and returned to new. Thank you for your help.

As long as you remove the device to locate my iPhone, you did what is necessary.  If Apple has problems, they will contact you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones water damaged phone has bad signal

My 9790 "BOLD" age of 6 months of BB washed. I had fixed and everything worked perfectly, except for the bad signal (most of the non-existent time)! I never had problems before water damage. Now I have to put my phone on specific points, the specific angles and then only, it will pick up signal with maximum 3 stripes. If anyone phones, I can't talk to them, cause now I pick up the phone, the signal goes into SOS mode or network research. I brought back to the guy who fixed it, and it replaced the ariel, without success. Any other suggestions? I still have the contract of 15 months left!

Physical repairs are problematic, especially on a device that has been damaged by water, you never know if indeed you have solved all the problems caused by moisture or water. And dried water in a device may leave behind the salts and minerals on the circuit, which can cause problems six months later and are not detectable today.

You might be better to start with a new device.
