Alienware M18x r2 does not illuminate

A few weeks ago, I started experiencing frequent black screen / freeze, particularly when running games such as World of Warcraft or Mass Effect 3 (max settings). At first, I thought it was overheating - I arreter stop for a little while, then start it upward. It would be perfect for several hours, then screen black/freeze again. I ran several diagnostics which showed two GPUS running temperature wise - indeed, they have been colder than I expected even when running multiple games together via double-screen, blockage of all about 70-75 C.

On the advice of a friend, I removed the battery and left to operate on alternating current. It worked fine until I rebooted, it last night, and all of a sudden it would not start at all, even with the battery in. The LED AC power brick was not, either. I removed the bricks of the laptop, then it disconnected from the power strip. When I plugged in the Strip, the LED came - however, now when I have it plugged in the laptop, the LED is triggered and the laptop would not boot. I tried to plug the brick in the laptop first and then the band - the LED would blink once, rest dark and the laptop would not turn (even if by pressing the button for the battery, have indicated that a full charge).

On a hunch, I tried to use my x 51 power brick. Connected to the band, the blue LED ring around the head was on - by the time I plugged it in the m18x, LED off and laptop computer is not turned. I removed the bricks of the 51 of the laptop and unplugged from the band x, then reconnect the band. The LED has come. I plugged the brick in the x 51 and it's remained on and powers of the PC very well. I have not tried the brick of the m18x with the x 51, because it is more powerful and I'm not sure it would be compatible - or I want to take the risk of burning the only other computer I have at my disposal right now.

The system is just out of warranty - bought in November 2012 and the guarantee of lack in November 2013. I got the power brick replaced once already (shortly after I bought it). Any ideas?

I recommend you send an email to [email protected] and request information on warranty services. Make sure you include your Service number, contact information and a brief description of the problem you encounter on the email.

    You can always update your firmware with iTunes. But it seems you might have a larger, likely hardware problem with your phone.

    Try to restore the firmware with iTunes. If this does not help, make an appointment with a genius at the Apple Store.

    Try to zap the PRAM or reset the SMC.

    I just encountered the same problem. While watching the TV, it shuts down suddenly. Even model & 18 months and now dead. If I leave it plugged in now, we get the same thing - the power switch flashes between green and Red intermittently seconds or - but no picture at all.

    What's wrong?

    Sometimes people sell books with the failure to display or other parts of damage, but the motherboard is ok.
    You can try to use second hand motherboard in your laptop.

    LED flashes orange?
    If you mean the DC-in LED if it flashes orange if the output voltage of the adapter is abnormal or if power outages.
    If you mean the Power LED so it flashes orange while the computer stops if you select sleep mode.
    If you mean battery LED if it flashes orange when the battery reaches a low battery indicator.

    I think you should check if the AC adapter has no malfunction and provide enough power.

    I think you should also try another solution that I found in this forum.
    So to remove the battery and unplug the AC of the laptop and wait form (10-15 min) then several times the battery and connect the AC to the laptop and try to start the laptop.
    Eventually, it helps.

    Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.
    Leave the laptop unplugged and then hold down power button / stop along 30 sec.
    Then reconnect the two parts and check how the unit works.

    In which case nothing would be visible on the screen, try replacing the RAM modules. Perhaps one of the modules is the troublemaker
    Otherwise if the RAM modules are OK, the problem could be linked to the motherboard.
