  It's complicated stuff, you must know the scan code and record the change to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout.  A typical remapping is shown here.  If you are looking for long enough you could find someone who has posted the exact value required for the exact thing you want to do... or not.

  You can find scan codes on the internet and to understand, but as Ken has pointed out, it is much easier to use an app for that.  If your intention is to impose it through a corporate network then I suggest that you use the remapping utility suggested in conjunction with a comparison of Regshot Registry utility.  Keep a shot record until you do the remapping then take another blow after the remapping and compare the shots and the changes to the formula HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard framework will be revealed.

• SideWinder X 4 does not disable the left windows key in games

  SideWinder X 4 does not disable the left windows key in games.

  When on the windows desktop, he will have the disabled windows key and a small box will popup in the lower right corner, saying he is.

  I recently came across this question.  There is a mode dial all at the top left of the keyboard.  Make sure that the value is the default mode (mode 1).  I realized that I have to have spent it in mode 2 when I experienced this problem.

• Hide the list of accounts in the left in unified folders view window

  I am from Eudora and trying to put things up in a similar way on Thunderbird. To the extent where everything has been working PERFECTLY and I really didn't miss Eudora that much more.

  However, since I have several e-mail accounts (I participate in several companies and projects including requieres all me to use different accounts) and I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible in Thunderbird.

  I am currently in folders 'Uni' mode, which helps me get rid of a large number of files that I would never use. Now I want to get rid of the list of accounts in the left window while I have that Inbox, Sent, Trash, Outbox, drafts and then my custom folders. Is it possible to do this in Thunderbird (I hope that without the help of an add-on)?

  The "Unified" view breaks records in particular is very useful especially for the IMAP folders that cannot use a global Inbox. But it may not be the best for your application.

  I use a useful feature in thunderbird called "Favorite" folders, which may be of interest to you.

  If you have a few folders that you use most of the time and I would like to see them, but not the other so that the view is less crowded, then right-click on a folder of choice and select 'Favorites '. You can select several folders.

  Then view > folders > Favorites
  Then displays only selected favorite records.

  By editing the text in the XML Source view, you can get what you want, it's very tedious, you will probably need to copy into another XML editor.  But here's a sample, and if you pay attention, you should be able to cut and paste points point anywhere in your form and change the text.  The sample has two text with me to XML editing and the other controls using the paragraph options.

  I had 3 e-mail accounts defined. They came with folders over there on the left side of the screen. I then tried to add a fourth account that the missing 3rd account is if it was withdrawn and the fourth new account shows nothing on the left side. All the most as it does not exist. But when I use the menu option [file - get new messages for] the window pop up shows that the 4th account is there.

  I have xp configured to display system files and folders. My xp is not Thunderbird [help > troubleshooting] option. Each account that local directory has been replaced by C:\Documents and Settings\King\My Documents\Thunderbird_Mail\jail1 - 119.web - hosting.com
  This way I can back up the directories of mail for each account. Also for backup purposes, I also copied directory C:\Documents and Settings\King\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\e5hjmse7.default tree in My Documents. To fix the problem I just copied the supported by directory 5hjmse7.default tree which he original path and everything was back to normal. Thunderbird has need bkup option that records these hidden config and directories of email in my documents.

• Strangely the large windows and icons

  Windows on my screen are strangely great. I would like to know how to solve this problem.

  I had recently installed a new graphics driver from AMD, and after noticing a few major bugs/problems, I uninstalled then reinstalled an old version. After doing so, the office has returned to normal, but the icons, windows and the taskbar are always older than resolution.

  My resolution is set to the default value of 1600 x 900 and the size of the icons is small.

• Text aligns the Center instead of the left, but only on Windows 7 computers.

  I designed a website on a Mac in CS5. It works fine on the Mac and the PC running XP/Vista, but there are problems on Windows 7.

  For some reason text boxes that I have aligned left work very well as indicated above, but each text box aligns the Center on PC under Windows 7.

  Can anyone offer advice please? I'm pretty new to this by the way!

  You have no text align the rule in your css I can see if the browser is probably using its default value, or who inherit from the rule, place a -.

  text-align: center;

  Edit: should read-

  text-align: left;

  in your css as required, (try in the content text rule) also if you can try to avoid using "-", (dashes) or other items on your behalf.

• Element is FLUSH left, right and top of the browser window.

  OK, this should be an easy one for you guys. Can someone tell me how to do something (in this case a header bar) aligned to the left, right and top of the browser window? I tried many different ideas. Do not know where the margin or the padding is coming.

  Something with a fixed width will push right (always leaving the gap on the left) and bring up the scroll bars. I don't want to scroll bars. I want an elastic element that fits flush, without a space.

  Any Firefox window has an early color portrait region (20-or-so pixels wide) just under the title bar of the system and extending to the bottom of the window of FF. The region begins as a color (1) single, but then, as the viewport changes (2) that this region is segmented into subregions of assorted independently. Several windows of maintains their own independent color region.

  If multiple windows of firefox are open, each has its own region. Menus contextual (e.g. right click anywhere in the window of FF) also have such a region. Disable all extensions, plugins and themes has no effect.

  (1) the colors I have observed are still basic (cyan, magenta, yellow, green, blue, red, gray). When the color is set or changed (described below) the color seems to be set randomly - that is to say, I can't distinguish a model on how

  (2) the scrolling window or by invoking a dialog modal/guest/file browser will cause the entire region move to another color. Some (I can't nail down the rhyme or reason) changes at the level of the block to a page will cause a subregion to appear horizontally aligned of the said block.   I just wanted to post an update. I revisited once more this issue to try to understand what was the problem (this time with v44.0).

  Once again, no change in settings solved the problem, or does disabling extensions and themes.

  However, this time, a newly created profile does not show the behavior. This new profile, I have installed all my extensions and themes, set up my custom settings and I have not seen the problem come back for days now.

  Don't know what happened here. The update of v39 v40 (with no other changes) introduced this strange artifact, that at first, is not solvable with a new profile, but it is now. I am at a loss.

• In WIndows 8, the Google search for Firefox (only) appear in a column on the left side of the window.

  Firefox (25.0.1) and Google worked well together until the 26/11/2013 when a guest user searched on Google. Google search still works fine on IE and Chrome. The problem is that Firefox and only with Google. Bing, Ask, Yahoo, Wikipedia all perform and appear as expected. Installs any recent or upgrades. No other search engine returns the results in a column on the left. It's as if the guest user drags it results to the left column and the display became the default. I can't restore the previous view. I restarted Windows. I reinstalled Firefox, but that has not solved the problem. I have disabled all addons (I didn't have any) and run in safe mode, the problem persists. Aspect is default 25.0.1

• How do I make pop up windows back to the left side of the screen when they are moving to the right?
