Alignment of printer

I use Windows 7, 64 bit.   Have a HP all-in-one printer.  Can't align my cartridges.  I think it may have something to do with my Miss... just left empty black ink one of until a new arrives.  Have never had this problem before.

I have no problem printing the alignment page, but real alignment fails.

Does anyone know how can I fix?... because without a solution my printouts have mixed up Word.

Thank you for any comments you have!

  • Aligning the print cartridge HP PSC 1500 series printer

I just installed a new ink cartridge and try to align. When I open the HP PSC 1500 Setup page, it gives me the option "align cartridge". When I click on it it opens a dialog box titled 'printer properties '. There is no information on how to align the cartridge.

Thanks for your reply. It didn't really solve my problem. As I've mentioned before, I tried to get the 'how' info from the HP PSC 1500 series control page that displays a link to "aligning the print cartridge. By clicking on this link opens a dialog box that has nothing to do with the alignment of the cartridges. It was not very useful, but eventually, I remembered what I had to do was insert the alignment sheet and press "scan."

  • DeskJet 3050 a: Alignment Page prints clearly. Docs are not!

Yesterday, I installed a new HP print cartridge (#61 black) in my printer HP Deskjet 3050 All in One, J611 a. (Everything was fine with the printer before installing the new cartridge).

I printed the alignment page, which looked very well - clear, strong.

Then, I placed the alignment on the scanner page and clicked OK. The alignment page has been analyzed and the printer said alignment was successful.

Then I tried to print a Word Doc. The letters and images were not aligned - the entire document had to effect "double vision". I tried this on the parameters of "fast draft" and "best quality". Same effect. Also, I tried to print a pdf file as well as a page directly from my Safari browser. Same effect.

I then tried to change the route. Still, the alignment page prints perfectly. Double no vision. A beautiful look at just the page, I expect. Unfortunately, when I tried to pring a doc: double vision again.  I have tried to align the printer, this time by sending orders for the Mac (instead of directly from the printer). Alignment page prints fine. Scan reported successful alignment. Doc printed: double vision.

I cleaned the scanner glass.  I have confirmed that there is enough ink in the color cartridge.  I then printed a "Printer Status Report." As with the alignment page, the status report is out of the printer looking for very well. And nothing in the report that indicates problems.

Finally, I scanned the document alignment and sent the image to the Mac. The image looks perfect on screen. I printed the image. Double Vision!  I then tried to copy the alignment page using the printer copier. Is where it gets very weird: there was a double vision on dashes and and angled brands, but the text and the image of the printer (taking the low third of the alignment page) print perfectly well. In other words, with an alignment page perfectly readable on the scanner glass, I pressed the copy and the result was a double vision for some but not all that printed ON THE SAME PAGE!

Help! And thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

    MAC OS 10.7.5

SOLVED!  I got a question on this site involving a printer that has not detected the alignment page ("Officejet 5510 alignment page not detected').

The difficulty seems to be to eject BOTH cartridges.  That's what I did: (1) ejected the bw, then the color cartridge (2) turn the printer off, then on, (3) reinsert the color cartridge and then the cartridge p.c., (4) printed a new alignment page, (5) scanned the alignment page, (6) printed a Word Doc.

Everything seems to work very well.

I hope it helps others with similar issues to printer.

  • HP Deskjet D1320 align the print cartridges fail

    Hello

So I recently broke my printer to work on a couple projects.  The old cartridges is dead, so I bought brand new and installed today.  When installing the latest software of HP printer, the alignment will fail.  Step by step:

    (1) Center of Solutions HP Open

    (2) open Toolbox

    (3) device Services tab

    (4) align the ink cartridges

    (5) align the

However, after click on align, * nothing *.  It's as if the part of the alignment of the software was not installed.  I * can print * very well, but alignment doesn't matter.   I can also print a page of test very well.

I also did the standard troubleshooting: remove and reinstall the cartridges, restart the printer, unplug the printer, reinstall the software.  * Nothing works.* again, it is as if the part of the alignment of the software was not installed.

So what can I do to solve the problem of alignment?

    Thank you

PS OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit SP1.  Connection: USB

You are right.  It's a good general practice to align the printer when new cartridges are installed, but it is not mandatory.  Alignment is made for purposes of printing quality.  On this printer, the print head is part of the ink cartridge.  When a new cartridge is seated, it may or may not be in alignment.  It looks like your cartridges are in alignment.

You could try to shut down your computer (not a reset) and do a Hard Reset of the printer as described in the following link.  Click here  After you restart the computer, is there a difference?

If not, and the print quality is good, I recommend you skip the alignment.  If you want to be able to make an adjustment, you could try to do a complete uninstall of the printer software and download and install the drivers from hp.com.  Click here

  • Aligning the print cartridges

Range of printers all in one HP PSC 1315

Since receiving Microsoft updates, my computer is no longer offers me HP programs e.g. HP Director, through which I used to do analysis. I can scan with the Microsoft program, so that no problem, but when I change an ink cartridge on the HP, a color alignment page is printed automatically but seems I do not have access to the program that checks the alignment after that I have place the alignment page of color on the plate of the printer. As I am unable to perform this alignment, the printer now prints another page of alignment of color whenever I turn it on.
How can I make the alignment, or failing that, stop the printer to automatically print a color alignment page whenever I turn it on?
I can't reload the driver programs or other software that I got when I bought the printer, as they were on diskette, and computers do not have floppy drive.
Troubleshooting: I checked the control panel for the printer settings.

  • Page HP Deskjet 5440 local status to align the printer

I am running Vista on my HP system and just install the Deskjet 5440 printer. The problem is that I get a pop up to 'align' my printer. The "help" button on the pop - up does not work. " How can I get this pop-up window come unnecessarily?

I want to thank everyone for their answers!  I don't have a solution to Support HP which I executed successfully.

The issue may have been caused by an HP product entry remaining in the system by the start of systems services.

Steps: 1 log on to the computer by using an account that has administrator rights.

    2. click on start, type msconfig.exe in the search box, and then press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.

    3. a screen appears that says "System Configuration utility".

    4. at the top of the window, click on the "Startup" tab

    5. in this window, there will be a list of programs running, some will have a check mark, and others cannot.

6 locate and uncheck all the entries associated with the HP programs, then down to click on the "Apply" button and then on the button 'Ok '.

    7 reboot the system.

    It worked for me!

Yet once I appreciate the answer for everyone.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8000 - guard alignment page printing

I had trouble with black ink print does not correctly so after several cleanings I decieded to manually clean the print head. I took the printhead of the printer then whipped cream, the part where the ink comes out with a most paper towle. After that I put the print head in the printer prints a print alignment page. Ok. Now, every time I have print whatever it is that the printer will be after the print job is printing another page of alignment. Is there a way to stop? Thanks for your help.

    Hello TheDeerSlayer,

When you clean the print heads, you should try to not clean the part where ink is coming out of it (nozzles). It is very easy to damage them and if it happened, most likely the only way to solve the problem is to replace the print head. There are two things, you might try to see if you can get the print head working properly again: first thing is to clean the sensor that checks the nozzles. It is located on the right side of the printer at the bottom of the area in which the cart moves, it looks like a strip of metal which is only visible when the transport is located on the side more to the right of the printer. Be sure to use a cloth moistened with cold water. What you might try if this does not solve the problem and the nozzles are just clogged with ink and not really damaged, is to heat water (almost boiling point) and then soak the part of the printhead whith the nozzles in the water for some time. Let the printhead to dry and then install again and see if it works now.

This picture is of you can location of the sensor that checks the print head nozzles. The image is not so great and is an another printer, but it is located in the same place on Officejet Pro 8000.

  • HP F2480 - aligning not printing labels

    Hello

my HP F2480 is a great little Office all in one, but I've never been able to print labels in word (office 2007). There seems to be a problem with the alignment and the tags do not match the model selected in word. It is strange, however, that sometimes when I come to print on a normal A4 sheet it works fine. So I guess that it may be the different thickness of the sheet of labels.

In any case if someone has had this problem or could help me that would be great. ~

    see you soon,

    Jeremy

HI - you might try defining the type of automatic paper of plain paper in the printer driver, printing of labels.  If it works fine on plain paper, it might have to do with the automatic paper sensor.

    Hope that helps
