Alignment of the segments of the line at the bottom?

Hey guys!  Fairly new to Illustrator, have a quick question.

So I try to 0.31 inch of space between a bunch of 55 degrees line segments.  The problem is that when I use the function of spacing to distribute while it is set to 0.31, he spaces the left part of the segment straight 0.31 in. the right side of the left hand line segment.

To explain it in a different way, the program makes a theoretical rectangle around each segment of line of 55 degrees and spaces these rectangles 0.31 inch outside instead of spacing of centers each line of 55 degrees 0.31 inches apart.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Thank you!  (For the record, new to the program.  Don't know may not be some technical jargon )

Alex,

One way to do it would be to create the first line, then object > transform > move by 0.31 in. and click on copy each time.

Or effect > warp & Transform > transform, then set the move to 0.31 in. and set the number of copies. Leaving you with just the first line. You can object > break down the side if you want to separate lines.

  • Clip aligns with the bottom rail

    All of a sudden, when I move a clip in the timeline, the clip is aligned with cross-country in the sequence. It makes me crazy! I turned on and outside snap, nothing works. What is happening?

    No. I would literally try to move the video clip, located on V2, to the right or left and she could give in to V1. This would force any clip on another element down to the lower level, removing the lower clip. I threw my preferences and it fixed the problem. No idea of what was going on...

  • align to the bottom of another

    Hey,.

    I have the following problem.

    I have two elements, e1 is on top of the e2. Both have a dynamic height.

    E2 have align / "bind" to the lower edge of e1.

    I hope you can help me.

    See you soon

    Darius

    Edit #1:

    FYI: overall, I have 3 elements of text I need to align.

    It is a necessary cause the text have to pack but still between them.

    You can't actually find a lower post end or bottom of an element.  Everything that you can get the box height() and its offset () .top; position. So I guess you will have to find the height of the box and calculate the position is new with this.

    Example:

    • E1 height is 100px
    • IE1 upper position is 10px
    • top of e2 e1 height + top so the top of e1 e1 is 110px.
    • so if the height of e1 to 200px, then high e2 will have to change at 210px. (top height more e1 e1)
  • Urgent! Align text to the bottom.

    In a book I'm doing the last paragraph should be aligned at the bottom. It does not work in a block of text only, so I put another on every page just to the last paragraph and aligned it to the bottom. He always chooses in some (many) of these frameworks to set the text of a few millimeters above the guideline. !!! ??? Ahhh! Please, if someone has already addressed this, give a hand!

    I am attaching a sample page showing 10pt on 14pt line up on the starting grid.

  • Align the drop cap at the bottom of the paragraph

    I'm designing a model in InDesign and our chapter start may include a certain number. That is to say. "1 it's header. Sometimes the header will be 2 lines and sometimes the other.

    I want the number to be BIG and you want to, my text base line up to be a line or 2.

    The drop cap function or create a character style that makes this large number causes still my text align to the TOP of the number.

    Any ideas?

    Here's another thought.

    Use a nested style to get your large enough number, then put on your text between a larger and a smaller one for the number text box for the rest of the cuff.

    It is always a single line, but by setting both of your text boxes to align to the bottom, you can get the alignment you need.

  • Alignment of the field does not

    Hi, I am building a user interface with Blackberry JDE 5.0 using plugin Eclipse and test the app in Blackberry 9550 Storm Simulator.

    I'm trying to align a button may be down (first left, second right).

    I try first with a single and I can not aligned at the bottom.

    ButtonField propertiesButton = new ButtonField("Propiedades",ButtonField.FIELD_RIGHT);

    This is the complete class code:

    import net.rim.device.api.system.Bitmap;
    import net.rim.device.api.ui.component.ButtonField;
    import net.rim.device.api.ui.container.MainScreen;
    import net.rim.device.api.ui.container.VerticalFieldManager;
    import net.rim.device.api.ui.decor.BackgroundFactory;

    public class SplashScreen extends MainScreen {

        //BitmapField splashImage=new BitmapField(Bitmap.getBitmapResource("splash_image_"+Main.getDimentions()+".png"));
        Bitmap bg=Bitmap.getBitmapResource("splash_image_"+Main.getDimentions()+".png");

        VerticalFieldManager verticalManager= new VerticalFieldManager(USE_ALL_WIDTH | USE_ALL_HEIGHT | VERTICAL_SCROLL | VERTICAL_SCROLLBAR);

        ButtonField propertiesButton = new ButtonField("Propiedades",ButtonField.FIELD_BOTTOM);

        public SplashScreen(){
            super();
            //SETS background image
            verticalManager.setBackground(BackgroundFactory.createBitmapBackground(bg));
            verticalManager.add(propertiesButton);

            //ADDS Vertical manager REQUIRED!!!!
            add(verticalManager);
        }

    }

    When I run it, it shows the background without problems and it shows the TOP button. LEFT.

    What is happening maybe?

    The only thing I can think of is the "work area" is only at the height of the button, but vertical Manager USE_ALL_HEIGHT | USE_ALL_WIDTH, and if I set the alignment as ButtonField.FIELD_RIGHT properties it shows still left.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for your answers, I will appreciate it.

  • Alignment of the Image in a frame.

    I am building A card with a batch of images. Yesterday, I learned how data fusion and that works well. Now, I need to align each image to the bottom of the image, in that the image is set. I looked and looked, but I see not a simple option at the bottom align.

    Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    In the model, select the frame and right click, and choose Options for mounting block. You should see a transformation proxy to select alignment from the bottom.

  • Force the last text in the column to the bottom of the column

    I need something like Shift-Tab (tab of withdrawal right) but vertically. Something that absorbs all the extra vertical space and push the last paragraph (or paragraphs) to the bottom of the page. I don't want to use 27 paragraph returns or 67 pts of space above, because this document continues to change. I decided it didn't like that and settled to paste my end-of-column text in a note. It works pretty well except for the reference number, which I don't need. I can manually delete the reference number. So I should be happy, right? It works quite well, as long as the author decides to use a few actual notes (it's one of these books-in-such-a-hurry-I-have-to-start-before-the-author-is-finished).

    (1) is there a more elegant way to achieve (a vertical Shift - Tab that I've not discovered yet)?

    (2) is there a way to define a custom style of reference number (i.e., one that is empty)?

    I expect the answer to these two questions (with or without of resounding silence), but I'm often wrong when I guess I know everything.

    Well, you can simply delete the reference at the beginning of the note number. And hide it (no color) in the body of the text.

    Another option would be to put the last paragraph in an anchored object set to align with the bottom margin.

  • Left edges of printed lines moving in and out of vertical alignment, goes to the bottom of the page.

    I downloaded an upgrade HP suggested and just after, had a paper jam.   I have authorized, but then got the error message: cartridge stuck.

    I couldn't find the cartridges in a first time (they were caught completely to the left), then the belt to see if I could make it appear.  Nothing helped, and... uh - oh - guess that I would not do.

    Finally, I spotted the cartridges, slipped to them where they were supposed to be, and the printer worked.  Except now, descending by the offset of the page become for two and some lines (first part crushed), indentation of about an eighth of an inch of horizontal lines.  Then, on a half inch below the page lines come back to correct the record.  Then they go again shifted, which cycling through all the way to the bottom of the page.

    How, please, can I restore the vertical alignment?

    Is it Terminal? Do I have to pull the plug and look for a replacement?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hello OG53

    It doesn't look good if you receive as many different errors. It doesn't sound like the printer may be on its way. Try the rest of the article below, even if it will deal with transport, which may be causing the cartridges to print at an angle. It doesn't look like a problem with the scanning mechanism both with ink system. You want to be looking for a replacement.

    Transport is stuck and will not move

    Kelvin,

    In such cases, the first assumption is aligned to the pixel grid.

    You can select the entire document and untick finally align on the pixel grid in the Transform palette and uncheck also align new objects to the pixel grid in the options of the Launcher. It is crucial that the checkbox is disabled completely, not just a - which also count as ticked.

    It may be noted that even align with the pixel grid is cleared with all the selected objects, align new objects to the pixel grid is checked as the creation of new objects will result in these new objects being aligned, even when they are created from existing objects that can happen with Pathfinder operations.

    You can avoid the types of documents with the default (RGB for the web and other) or change the default value for such documents.

  • How to set the alignment of the grid as "First line only" for any style of paragraph

    Hello.. Please help me.

    I have to set the alignment of the grid as "First line only" for any paragraph style.

    I use the code below to set the alignment of the grid as "all lines".

    *********************************************************************************

    TextAttributes InterfacePtr < ITextAttributes > (styleInfo, UseDefaultIID());

    AttrGridAlignment InterfacePtr < ITextAttrGridAlignment > (: CreateObject2 < ITextAttrGridAlignment > (kTextAttrGridAlignmentBoss));

    attrGridAlignment-> SetGridAlignment (Text::kGABaseline);

    textAttributes-> ApplyAttribute (attrGridAlignment);

    Here, I created the text attribute of the alignment of the grid and applied to the styleInfo of the style.

    Now, the problem is that I tried all available of Text::GridAlignmentMetric values, but none of them affect the 'first line only. Please tell me the solution of this problem. I'm short on time.

    Thanks in advance.

    You apply this attribute via kEditTextStyleCmdBoss or equivalent? If this is not the case, consider to do.

    kGABaseline is what you need. In addition (see dialogue change style to a "pipe") you will need kTAGridAlignOnlyFirstLineReportBoss - IID_ITEXTATTRBOOLEAN set to true...

  • How can I get the black line that perfectly align than the bars on the chronology of return?

    As small black line that goes to the bottom of the screen when I put two bars/clips side by side without overlapping one another.

    For the last two days, my Adobe first CC did not do that and I try to guess it. This has caused some clips to overlap. This slows down my editing because I have to make sure that the place is perfect, and sometimes very difficult to do manually.

    Could someone help me with this please?

    Thank you.

    you have disabled snap? This is the icon of the magnet on the editing toolbar.

  • Why isn't my subject stay aligned to the pixel grid after the scaling?

    All my points are lined up on the grid, but when I step up proportionately they leave the grid. I snap to Pixel and Snap To Pixel Grid both checked.

    blackmath,

    You can see more here,

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Illustrator/using/drawing-pixel-aligned-paths-Web.html

    This paragraph is very relevant,

    Objects that are aligned to pixels, but have not the segments of vertical lines or horizontal, are not changed to match the pixel grid. For example, because a rotated rectangle doesn't have a straight vertical or horizontal segments, it is not pushed to produce crisp paths, when aligned with the pixels property is set for her.

  • Segments of straight lines do not align with grid

    Whenever I draw a straight line segment, it is not lined up on the grid, it is slightly to the left or right side of the line of the grid. (you can see on the line down to the right in the picture).  It is annoying because I can't get a bow to align properly with the segment of the line, as you can see in the picture there is a cliff on the bow where I want to align perfectly on the line segment. I have snap to grid on passing, but I tried with him off and it still does the same thing.

    I tried object-path-join with the line and the CRA chosen, but all that is move the whole arc to the left. I tried to recover the anchor points of the line and move them to the middle and I can get one end to align with the line of sight of the grid, but as soon as I move the anchor in front on the line to straighten out, all snaps back to being slightly to the left or right.

    Someone has ideas of how to do to get my path of line to be directly on the grid, so it is aligned with the CRA?

    Any chance you have snap to grid of pixels as well... Check the transformation Panel.
