  Only the shortcuts can be deleted without losing any data.

  Research directories are indexes for these files.  If you delete the files in the directories of research, you will remove the file from its location.

  Operating system that you are running on?

  What version you put in?

  In the Organizer, what view do you - use in the display menu is details checked, or unchecked - t - it make a difference?

  On the view menu, select media types - are all verified?

  Menu, select hidden - files is in view - show all files audited?

  I assume you're in the media view, what happens if you select the places people or events?

  I use Windows Vista Home Premium (SP2) (64-bit).  Two days back, I've updated my windows.  After restarting the PC, all program files and shortcuts in Start menu disappeared.  The shortcuts that I myself had added manually do not work.

  Have you tried to do the restore of the system in SafeMode as stated in my answer 1 to you?

  If it doesn't/does not work:

  If you do not want to repost in the Windows Update Forum (they are the specialists it for the best advice regarding your problem), make this disc Bootable startup repair and use it to do a system restore or uninstall the updates by using the method 2nd in my 1st reply:

  Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

• All my posts have disappeared from the Inbox.

  I realized there is a similar problem posted, but proposed solutions don't work here and the details here are different.

  All messages have disappeared from the Inbox. The sent box is fine, but deleted from the Inbox messages do not appear in the Recycle Bin.

  A search of the Inbox for messages of size > 0 allows me to see the messages and respond to them.
  If I move a message to another folder the moved message is invisible but believes it is search.

  Deleted messages are in the trash folder, but is not visible. A search in the trash finds them.

  Messages in the search boxes reuse (response, delete), but try to delete a selected message in the search box list has no effect.

  I found a solution. I can't take credit, but I tell you that I was almost embarrassed the simplicity of the solution and the problem.
  AT & T ConnectTech technician admitted that when I could left click and select the message in a tab, it was probable that nothing was clicked in the "select to display columns" in the top right of the CT. He clicks on a selection of articles and automatically that my messages appeared.

  When you try to access my internet postage program, I got a message that it was unable to initialize the printer.  When I checked the list of Printers and faxes in Control Panel... I find 4 all printers who WERE there yesterday... are now gone.

• In items 11 all my icons are missing on the expert tab in the bins of Panel, how can I get that back?

  I uninstalled a game, and for good measure, I also deleted the game program files directory. Nothing is left... However, I find one more persistent "title game" in the menu "Uninstall/Change Program." How do I remove it completely?

  I would try using the Windows Installer Cleanup utility, which can be downloaded from Microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301. To install the tool, download and run as administrator.   Then, you must run the tool by clicking Start, typing Windows Installer Clean Up in the search field and clicking on the enter key.   Select the item you want to delete in the menu program uninstall/change, and then click Remove.    Click OK in the confirmation window.  It should work pretty quickly. Click on exit to close the tool.

• Complete cant install from the CD

  OK guys, here's a weird. I just bought a WRT54GS wireless. I have 2 desktop computers; running an XP SP2 and the other running Vista Home Premium SP1. I also have a laptop Gateway running Vista Home Premium SP1.

  I bought it so I can use my laptop without being tied to the wall. I set the router down last night with the 1/2 success. I say 1/2 because I wasn't able to complete the installation or configuration that the CD is running.

  I get an error message that says router not configured correctly or cables not connected correctly. I checked it a dozen times and it is indeed hung right.

  I am able to access the internet through the router wired with 3 computers, but also the laptop wireless; but unsecured. How am I amble to access the internet if I couldn't get through the installation? During the installation process when he says "waiting for router" he tries to identify the network several times.

  I can also access the 192.68.1.1 on the default web address for the configuration of the router.

  I tried to run the installation several times with the same error, but still able to access the internet. I can still see my shared network resources. I reset and power all rolled several times.

  I have RoadRunner by Time Warner Cable and use a WebStar cable modem with broadband phone.

  Right click, click on the taskbar and make sure that there is no check mark in the box "lock the taskbar" then left click on the taskbar and just drag it to the bottom of the screen. Put a check mark in the box "lock taskbar.

• Not all folders appear in record from the network drive

  When you use Save as in Reader 10.0, the compressed/zipped file on the network share drive isn't here. When I go to the disc directory share I can drop all the files/folders. Why it will appear not all with the save option under? I need to save the zipped file. Thank you

  Acrobat Reader can not save in a zipped file.
