  You can try compacting and repairing the database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) and see if that fixes it.   Or try to remove your e-mail account, close and reopen WinMail, and then add the back and see if that fixes it.

  In otherwise, messages sometimes get incorrect on the mail server and block WinMail.  The only way to get rid of it is to remove them from the server.  So either try to go on your email provider's website and log in to your e-mail in this way and delete the message, or you can telnet to the server and delete (see http://techhelp.santovec.us/pop3telnet.htm), or contact your e-mail service provider and explain the problem to them and they can remove the specific message.
