• HP LaserJet P1505n, connected by Ethernet cable, all of a sudden cannot get an IP by DHCP.

  My HP LaserJet P1505n, connected by an Ethertnet to my LAN, has worked flawlessly for the past three years.  The last time that I shot it, he could not get an IP by DHCP.  I checked by printing a self-test page.  The IP address is 0.0.0.0.  I looked at the page self test three years ago and I saw that the IP address is 192.168.0.100.

The two I tried to print from, running WIN XP and the other running Ubuntu Linux. When any printed a test page, I checked the list of DHCP clients on my router Belkin (unknown model) and found that the printer was not present. It is while I printed the test page and found the IP 0.0.0.0. That was the case Saturday last until last night. This morning, I checked the list of DHCP clients again and the printer (miraculously?) appears in the list. I left the system all night and can't explain why she came back the printer works normally on computers and operating systems. To answer your other questions, all the lights on the printer and the router seemed to be turned on normally throughout this whole ordeal.
