P1102w cannot be accepted

I have been successfully using my HP LaserJet P1102w printer with my iMac running OS 10.6.8.  Today I leave my daughter to connect his laptop to my printer window.  It is automatically downloaded and installed the drivers and the printer worked fine.

Now I handed in place the USB cord to my iMac, and it does not recognize the printer.

I tried every trick I know to solve this.  I proved that the USB ports on my iMac work.  I can connect the HP printer to laptop for my daughter and it works.

When I go to system preferences: Fax & Print, it was suggested by a technician from HP that I delete the HP printer settings and then try to add it again.  When I click on the + mark to add, there is no available HP printer.

This is despite the fact that I downloaded and reinstalled the printer drivers.

Anyone had this problem before?

Help!

Mary Lou

I solved it without following your procedures.  I closed the computer and the printer is off plu I unplugged it from the USB port on my computer.

The next morning, I turned on the printer and plugged into the USB port on the iMac.

I then made on the iMac and it recognized the printer.

Something strange happened when I plugged this my windows OS daughter portable printer.  I couldn't get my Mac to recogize without following the procedure above.  It continues to operate correctly, now

The next time that I let my daughter use my HP printer, I'll follow the procedure described here before again trying to use it with my Mac.

  • P1102w - cannot find the printer

    Hello

I'm unable to print using a wireless connection.

    the printer is p1102w.

operating system is MAC OS 10.10 Yosemite

Whenever I try to print something I get "printer is not connected / cannot find the printer" message.

I tried the solutions on your support site, but nothing helped.

For sure, printer is connected to the same network as the computer. I see it on the print configuration page and I can connect to its IP address via a web browser (but I can't use web services).

All software and drivers are up to date. Update Apple is nothing new to me. Niether have your site.

I tried to move the printer closer and further away from router. No results.

No web proxy is related to my network.

To make this work, I have to remove the printer from my system, reinstall it using the USB cable, and then add it again via wi - fi.

But some time the problem reappears.

    It's really frustrating. Help, please.

    Hi @xopot ,

I see that you have problems printing via wireless network. I would like to help you today.

Since you can access the printer embedded Web server, the printer would have a valid IP address. Most likely, it has something to do with the software that the printer uses.

Fix permissions of the drive on the Mac:

    Close all applications.

In the Apple menu, click OK, click Applications, and then click utilities.

    Double-click disk utility.

Highlight your hard drive / partition on the left.

Click on check and then repair disk permissions.

    Restart the computer...

    Reset the printing system:

Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol.

Click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.

    Click on Printers & Scanners.

Make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left white side panel, and then click Reset printing system.

Click OK to confirm the reset.

Type the name and the correct password.

Click OK to reset the printing system.

Then click on the sign to add the driver, highlight the printer +. (you may need to click the drop down menu to select the name of the printer) Then click the Add button.

Configure a static IP address for the printer.

The printer is not found during Installation wireless.

Do not take into account the title. Select the Solution 4: assign your printer a static IP address.

If you need help, let me know.

    Have a great day!
    Thank you.

  • HP LaserJet P1102w: Cannot install the driver or the printer

I had this problem on my old PC as well.

I plugged my printer via the USB port (a port I don't know for sure works) and nothing pops up to auto install or whatever it is. I thoguth that was weird, but I also thought that the pilot would be on the printer, so let's just go to the section of the Control Panel printer. I did it, and the printer is there, but he says that he has no driver. I tried the option to find driver, but that did not work.

I thought maybe I just need to download it then. Came on the HP site, downloaded the installer for my printer and started running it. He gets to the part where I need my printer and plug it into the USB port. I did, but it will not register in the installation software I did. The USB port works, as I have the ability to eject the printer in the taskbar, but I can not install anything.

    Hello @Kitanya,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you encounter USB connectivity problems during the installation of your HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer on your computer Windows 8.1. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. Now I see you tried first to install your HP Laserjet Printer simply by plugging the USB cable in order to run the HP Smart Install process. HP Smart Install is the installation program built into your printers of programming. By plugging the USB cable, if own you a CD player on your computer, the printer is supposed to be recognized as a software CD and an installation must be started. However, is there is no problem with the CD drive on the computer or the printer is blocked to be recognized correctly it can cause the HP Smart Install feature does not work correctly. That being said, when you tried to run the installation with the downloaded driver package and were prompted to plug in the USB cable, then because the printer has already been connected "prematurely" with the USB cable already recognized computer connection. Therefore, the computer won't recognize the P1102w related 'recently' if he thinks already that is.

With that all being said, I will guide you in the faster and easier way to solve this problem. Please follow the steps below.

    Step 1: Uninstall the drivers:

Even if the installation has not completed successfully a part of the software and drivers can have made their way onto your computer. It is important that we have a nice clean slate to work with, so please follow the steps to remove all traces of your computer printer.

    1. Unplug your USB cable from your printer HP Laserjet, as well as your computer
    2. Open the screen Start by clicking the Windows button on the lower left corner of your computer screen or by selecting the Windows key bottom left of your keyboard to the right of the Ctrl key
    3. In the start screen, type programs and features. Click on programs and features to run
    4. Scroll through the list of population programmes and to locate the HP Laserjet.
    5. Click the HP Laserjet Printer and select uninstall
    6. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the uninstallation.

Once the uninstall is complete, proceed to the next step.

    Step 2: Remove temporary files:

    1. Open the screen Start by clicking the Windows button on the lower left corner of your computer screen or by selecting the Windows key bottom left of your keyboard to the right of the Ctrl key
    2. In the start screen, type run. Click on Run to launch the run dialogue box.
    3. In the run box, type %temp% , and then click OK
    4. When the Temp folder opens, select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard. Everything in this folder will highlight now.
    5. Select the "delete" button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains the temporary internet files. None of the actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting Temp files. A Temp file should you will automatically get the pop up to 'jump' this point.
    6. Close the Temp folder, once it is empty
    7. Right-click the recycling bin on your desktop and select empty recycling bin

    Step 3: Reinstall the drivers:

    1. Please click here to download the appropriate drivers for your printer
    2. Once the site opens click on the download button at the top left
    3. Allow the download to run
    4. Follow the steps on the screen to reinstall your printer
    5. Do not plug in your USB cable until the installation screen invites you to.

Once the installation is complete, please test printing.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

  • Hello, I receive a message telling me that my AC power adapter type cannot be accepted.

A few days ago, I started having a power warning message when I turn on my laptop. It is said that the AC power adapter type cannot be determined. Beacause it my battery will not charge. But it's the power adapter that came with it and I have used for so long that I got the machine. Do not know what is happening.

I guess that the laptop works on AC power only but always?

If you remove the battery from the laptop work?   If yes then I suspect the battery does not have rather than the power adapter.
If it will not work without the battery then I would suspect that the adapter is faulty/defective.
Don't let not the battery-even if it is the problem.

It loads in 2 seconds and it gives me this error:

translated: connection error: Please check your internet connection.

But it is connected! the Spy is light blue on the printer!

    It's my CV to network:

I have x maveriks os, what to do? I really need to print with the mail, I bought it only for that!

    0o0o!

    @Ludinz,

Thanks for posting your question on the forums of hp.com. I would try a number of things to resolve your problem:

1 make sure that your printer is updating the Firmware. Check hp.com > Products home page to see if you need to update your firmware.

    product homepage P1102w

    2. how your printer is connected to your router? What is network or wireless to your router? Because your connection error happens if fast (set you a delay of 2 seconds), it means that your printer does not happen to the internet. Try power cycling the printer and connection. The same thing happens? If so, consider the connection of the printer any other way and check to see if it's going to happen to the internet.

    3. consider the power cycling the router. The router sometimes in poor condition, and while the computer will access the internet, the printer ignores. Electric bike solves this problem because it will restore all connections.

    Good luck.

  • HP Laserjet P1102w: Cannot find my network when connecting HP Laserjet P1102w

Yesterday I bought a new HP Laserjet P1102w and I have problem of printer setup to work on the wireless network, I installed the software and when he asked me the weather to set it up via USB or wireless, I clicked on a wireless then he told me to enter my network SSID and I typed it correctly but he said "the printer could not communicate with any wireless router or" using the supplied access point SSIDS ' then I tried to check the network in the list but no network appear.

The printer works fine with USB, but I need you to connect wireless.

    Hello

I have this printer so I know how it is difficult to set up the printer using the wireless connection on your own.

If your router supports Wi - Fi Protected Setup (WPS), it's the easiest way to configure the printer on a wireless network.
  • HP Laserjet P1102W - cannot install on Windows 7 64 bit

    Hello

I'm unable to install the software for my laserjet p1102w. I tried the install CD, USB install and install downloadable. I get the error message is below. I ran through almost every tutorial tech support on the HP Web site as well as a few websites of third 3rd, and I'm about to throw this printer out the window. A few things about my setup: the printer is already connected to the network by other computers (Vista, who had no problem with installation). I am running Windows 7 64-bit on an Acer Aspire 5745 G.

    Hi smcconn5,

There are a few other things that we can try to get the printer completely installed and operational.

    Unplug the USB cable.

Uninstall the software from the CD.

Go to start, computer, right click on the CD drive and select open, and then double-click on uninstall.

    Restart the computer.

Then go back to start, computer, right click on the CD drive and select open, then right click on the installer and select run as administrator.

    I hope it will work.

Another that you can try is to create a new user account with full Admin rights and try to reinstall the printer. How to create a new user account in Windows 7

If you still have questions then I would contact Microsoft to see if they can help with this error to the administrator.

Let me know how make you out.

  • P1102w - cannot reconnect to the network

I can't reconnect my printer laser p1102w to the network, or my system.  When I connect the USB port on my laptop, it attempts to save the connection, but does not a drive letter or anything like that.  I downloaded the latest installer.  When I try to add the printer and set it up for wireless access, nothing happens.  When I try to add and configure to access usb, installation product until he asks for the usb connection, how does not "meet" the printer when I plugged it.  (Yes, I tried several ports)  I tried the 'doctor' and he seems to be satisfied with it as a usb connection.  However, I don't know how to get connected to the net.  Is it possible to do this simply?

    Salvation for the end user.

I see that you are having a problem with put the printer on the network again.

I'll be happy to help you.

I would like to reset the printer first to clear the previous network settings.
Turn the printer off, press and hold the wireless button and cancel (x button) while turning the printer on and do not release both buttons until the printer stops making the noise.

Print a configuration report and check the SSID address and IP are disabled.
(hold down the x key and when the printer makes a noise to let go of taken)

After the reset, unplug the router power cable, wait 10 seconds, then reconnect the power cable.

    Wait, it's ready.

Because the USB connection does not work now, unplug the USB cable.

Run uninstall from the CD or the program files.

Here are the steps to run the uninstall of the computer or the CD.

    To uninstall program files:

Go to start and select a computer.

    Select the C drive.

Select the program files or program files x 86.

Open the HP name and printer folder.

    Select uninstall.

    Uninstall from the CD:

    Go to start, computer,

Make a left click Open in a new window, right click on the printer CD, double click on uninstall.

Run the Setup again and do not connect the USB cable until you are prompted to configure the wireless again.

    Test the printer.

I would setup an IP address from the printer so that it does not happen in the future.

Printer keeps not WiFi. Proceed to Solution 4: assign your printer a static IP address.

What operating system do you use? How to find the Windows Edition and the Version on your computer.

Please let me know if you need additional assistance.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.

May I ask what OS runs on the laptop?
Have you tried to use the USB HDD with Vista or XP?
