I like to keep the buttons in my taskbar has organized with the browser and messaging on the left, followed by Windows Explorer and other items. If they get out of order or programs are loaded into a different order, how can I MOVE the buttons to a new location without having to close all programs and resume in the order I want? In addition, sometimes, one of program buttons seems in itself to migrate out of place and I need to get back to where it should be: same problem.
Hi shohareZohre
Thank you for using the Microsoft Answers Forums!
The task bar is the horizontal bar at the bottom of your screen time. In contrast to the office, which can get obscured by the windows on top of it, the taskbar are visible nearly all the time. It includes four main sections:
· The Start button, which opens the start menu.
· The Quick Launch bar, which allows you to start programs with a single click.
· The middle section, which shows you what programs and documents you have open and allows you to quickly switch between them.
· The notification area, which includes a clock and icons (small pictures) that communicate the status of certain programs and computer settings.
Add or remove programs on the Quick Launch toolbar
The Quick Launch toolbar is located on the task bar and is a convenient way to open programs. You can add or remove program icons in the Quick Launch toolbar so that you have easy access to the programs that you use frequently.
Click the icon for the program to add (you can find most icons of programs on the start menu or the desktop) and then drag it to the Quick Launch toolbar.
Note: If you don't see the toolbar tools quick launch, right-click on an empty area of the taskbar, click Toolbars, and then click quick launch.
Right-click on the icon of the program and then click Remove.
Notes: · Delete an icon from the taskbar does not remove its corresponding computer program.
· If you want to stop showing a toolbar on the taskbar, right-click an empty area of the taskbar, point to toolbars, and then click the item that you want to stop broadcasting.
NOTE: The ability to move the programs in the taskbar is not possible in windows Vista but the same functionality is available in Windows 7. Please see the link below.

Need to backup all programs and files without the System Image
Hi all
Recently, I myself in a dilemma. I installed 4 additional disks with the intention of creating a RAID volume supported by the BIOS. To do this, I need to change the BIOS setting of the controller which includes all the volumes, including my boot drive (that I don't intend to RAID). The problem I have is that when I pass the UEFI to RAID controller, Windows Recovery will not use the System Image I did. He said that the volume was created under a different arrangement (Bios vs. EFI).
What are my options? Is there a different backup setting, which allows to keep all my installed software? I am not concerned with the data that I can copy it to an external volume, but it would take several days to get all of my software reinstalled. I would like to avoid this. I guess I'll have to reinstall Windows Pro 8.1 and then use a backup program to restore everything. If this is the case, then I need to know which backup program will work. If there is a better way, I would like to know. I see my options in the form, get another backup program, get a map of controller for the boot drive or the RAID volume or just reinstall.
Thank you

I lost my accessory under Start, all programs, and accessibility.
Original title: Technical Support.
I have Windows XP Home Professional with Service Pack 3. I lost my accessory under Start, all programs, and accessibility. I want to use the calculator, but he's not here, I mean Windows components. They were deleted for a reason. He questioned the Service Pack 3 Cd, but I have only the CD with Service Pack 2. How can I reinstall them?
System File Checker will not work for you for two reasons:
- He will ask the installation CD XP sp3 - which is not
- Even if you have the correct CD, this isn't what SFC
Instead, see AccRestore - restores the missing Accessories group shortcut (this is a web site with confidence you can securely download the zip file, after you download the file, do a right click and "Extract all" and then double-click on the extracted exe file)

Under Start, computer, properties, advanced, Control Panel, performance, settings, Data Execution Prevention (DEP)... The functions of ball in gray and it seems that DEP is locked. Yet one can disable DEP using bcdedit.exe that MS wrote a short article on how to do it. I would like to use this select method rather then disable DEP on the entire machine.
Someone knows how to fix this 'feature '? Thank you.
Open in administrator cmd
If the DEP is grayed out then try this: this RUN cmd
Activation:
bcdedit.exe/set {current} nx AlwaysOn
bcdedit.exe/set {current} nx optinTo turn off:
bcdedit.exe/set {current} nx AlwaysOff
To turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select.
Click Add to add the programs (32-bit) that you do not want to use the DEP feature. Navigate to the .exe file of the program you want to add to the DEP exclusion list and select it, and then click Open.Click OK to apply.

I upgraded my card mother cpu ram and hard drive. I reinstalled windows xp home edition has got all of the updates. After 9 latest updates download and installtion was going well until I rebooted the computer and go to page window showing all the icons that I get a blue screen and the computer restarts its self and does not stop. How can this be corrected?
Hi KevinRy,
Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!
Unplug all external devices.
Try to start in safe mode. If you can start in safe mode, and then do a system restore to restore the computer to an earlier point in time.
Change the recovery settings to disable automatic reboot, if you are able to boot up to the desktop computer:
1.
Right-click my computerand then click Properties.
2.
Click the Advanced tab.
3.
Under Startup and recovery, click settings to open the Startup and recovery dialog box.
4.
Clear the automatically restart check box, and then click OK many times necessary.
5.
Restart your computer so that the settings take effect.
Now, when you are going to close and a fatal error occurs, you will see at least and it won't cause an automatic restart.
Please reply back with the error message you get because it helps us to resolve the error.
Kind regards

Outlook express 6 rebounds all incoming and outgoing messages on Wndows xp.
I posted this question earlier, but apparently to the wrong forum. I deleted all the messages in my nbox, sent items, deleted projects... All incoming and outgoing messages are bounced back indicating that the bytes are at their limit. I don't know if the messages are stored on my server or not. Don't know how to check.
Is there a solution for this?
In addition to the other suggestions, try to go to the file. Identities and setup a new identity. Add your e-mail account to this identity and see if it will download messages and delete what is on the server. The files can be corrupted in the old identity and may not delete messages from the server. You can also contact your provider and e-mail them to check on errors.

Original title: it's a virus that's causing this?
It happened a few times now. While I use my computer, all applications and the windows are closed at the same time, I am disconnected and the computer is off, as if someone manually stops the computer. I turn on the computer and log in and everything seems to be okay. No data deleted, not that I could find and detect anyway. One day when I turned on the computer, it run chkdsk before doing the usual startup. I use the computer for 2 years and this is the first time, she never did a chkdsk on its own. I used Microsoft Essentials and no viruses were found.
Should I worry?
Hello
You can read the following article and try to download the Microsoft Safety Scanner and perform a full scan on your computer and check.
Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
Check if there are logs of events related to the issue in the event viewer which may help us to solve the problem of the:

Try a system restore to a Date before the problem began:
Restore point:
http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/
Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.
Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.
http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm
Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.

I try to start a program and the lock screen appears and the program crashes.
I try to start a program and the lock screen appears and the program crashes. How can I stop this or should I give up windows 8?
Former title: lock screen
Hi William,
Thanks for posting the query on Microsoft Community.
If I understand correctly, you are unable to open a program as the program crashes. Don't worry, will help you with the question.
1. What is the brand and model of the computer?
2 does on all programs or only one?
3. you receive an error before it crashes?
Try to put the computer to boot and check if it helps.
This will eliminate the conflicts of software that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows. It starts Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.

The table is the table of the sample already provided to the user 'hr' to oracle. The structure of the table is:
Name Null value Type -------------- -------- ------------
EMPLOYEE_ID NUMBER (6) NOT NULL FIRST NAME VARCHAR2 (20) LAST_NAME VARCHAR2 (25) NOT NULL E-mail VARCHAR2 (25) NOT NULL PHONE_NUMBER VARCHAR2 (20) HIRE_DATE DATE NOT NULL JOB_ID VARCHAR2 (10) NOT NULL SALARY NUMBER (8.2) COMMISSION_PCT NUMBER (2.2) MANAGER_ID NUMBER (6) DEPARTMENT_ID NUMBER 4 So I wanted the result to display the 'FIRST_NAME' of the person with the maximum salary of all employees and the salary of this person "Max (Salary)".
I had the answer to the following query:
Select first_name, salaries of employees
where wages (select max (salary) of employees);
But I wanted to know if there was another way to get the results without using subqueries? Thanks for your help. Appreciate it.
Use the DUNGEON:
Max (first_name) SELECT first_name from Dungeon (dense_rank last order of salary).
Max (salary) salary
of hr.employees
