All sounds broken on Vista 32 bit after update Flash

I am a technician working remotely on a 32-bit computer to Vista with SoundBlaster X - Fi Audio extreme. Flash player updated automatically throughout the night in version 11.3.300.271. No sound does this morning, including Windows Media Player, IE, Chrome, etc.

We used Flash uninstaller and then tried to play a sound on Windows Media player. Still no sound.

We have reinstalled the latest version of Flash Player. It installs without problem, but it still does not work.

We checked the event viewer. There are no related events. We checked the Device Manager. There is no missing drivers. We checked the volume controls, they are all very well, the value of the correct audio output and speakers, volume to their max now, levels etc.

Any ideas?

It turns out, somehow, I thought it would be, as it was a user error. Their speakers were disconnected.

I asked the user if they tried to headphones and they said yes. I suspect that they plugged the headphones on the speakers that is not helping solve the problem.

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 A300 / M00 and when I got it, it had Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit. But after awhile, I started to have problems so I decided to reinstall Vista on my laptop. After crossing with the product recovery media, my system become so 64-bit.

Was not my system suppose to have 32-bit when it was originally with her?
If no, then how can I install 32 bit once more on my laptop like 64-bit gives me problems with the installation of some of my programs.

If I need to buy a copy of Vista 32 Bit, where can I find the drivers for my system, because the product recovery media has all the drivers on this subject.

    Thank you for your time.

Hmm. Your ad is a little confusing.

Why would you say that Toshiba Recovery disk contains a version of Vista 64-bit?
    How did you check that?
From my experience, the Toshiba recovery disc still contains the preinstalled operating system.

Also as much as I know the new notebook from Toshiba are not delivered with the recovery disk, but with a HARD drive recovery option.
This option allows you to reinstall the OS from the second partition of HARD drive recovery.
Alternatively, you can use the preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator software to create the own recovery DVDs! And this recovery disk contains the same preinstalled OS!

I gues due to lack of information it would be difficult to help you.
You haven't posted anything on your laptop model.
Also you says nothing about the video files you want to play.

Did you update all drivers and utilities on your laptop after the 8.1 of Windows upgrade?
If your laptop is Win 8.1 supported, you must pass the Toshiba drivers and tools as described in the installation instructions (you will find on the website of driver Toshiba)

The reason why I asked for how long, since you said "just upgraded", when I've updated and accounts are back synchronization, the hub and deletions and the lu brand is all slow, sometimes up to 30 minutes after, could be an hour depending on what all is sync and data speed , wifi or not, etc.

Sometimes, I have seen even delete it and mark read missing icons, even for an hour or two after.

I have no got 343 MB of 74.4 GB free disk.

I have no got 343 MB of 74.4 GB free disk.

Although 74.4 billion may sound like a large number, in the world of it today, he isn't. It is a very small unit of disk.

There are several things that you can do to save disk space, but they are basically all the temporary measures, and now you can find yourself in the same situation. The only real solution to your problem is to get a second, bigger hard drive. They are very cheap these days; You can buy a 500 GB drive for about US $50.

  • Vista blue screen after update

So I had update during a routine traffic stop of my compy (who was btw custom assembled by a friend and has worked perfectly for a year). I got the install updates and the button stop, then left for a few hours, thinking that it would update after a few minutes. I came home, and he had not yet determined a percentage of completion yet. SO I thought it was frozen/not going to work, so I unplugged it (I know it says not to do: P). so now so now when I turn it on it goes to the screen to stop and lets me choose if I want to start in:
    safe mode
    SafeMode w / networking
    safe mode with command prompt
    last known good configuration
    normally

I tried all of this and they all take me to a blue screen that says:

I don't have my instillation of windows disk because I heard that it comes with a repair disc which should solve this problem.
I tried to make Internet and I couldn't make them work
I tried to make one with the "recovery disk creator" on my new computer laptop sisters. he wouldn't let me continue the program, even if it charged because my computer is not a product of toshiba

I have full of ideas on how to solve this problem.

Recovery disk/s on other computers will not work on your.

Try to use the ERD below.

If this does not work, contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery Vista disc/s, or ask for help in using your recovery Partition; and do a Vista reinstall.

As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.

As your grave in the category above, download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

It's a very good Vista repair disc.

You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

There is not a disk of resettlement.

And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

    See you soon.

  • Vista Windows slow after update

I recently installed all new updates for windows vista (Home premium 32) and after that, my computer got real slow (for example start-up took about an hour)... Is it possible to fix this without reinstalling windows?
    Thanx

    Gabriela

    Hi gabriela86,

Thanks for posting a response to answers.microsoft.com

Instead of re - install Windows, why not try using the boot minimum process to refine and isolate what is causing the slowness of the system, be it a program or a service.

Here is a link to troubleshooting with the boot process.  Try step 1, and then see if you encounter the problem, otherwise go to step 2 and so on and so forth until the issue is isolated when it is isolated post causing the hang up in the forum and we you search with you.

After the diagnosis is made, please make sure to follow step 7 in the boot process to ensure that you have your system booted to a Normal State.

Starting in MINIMAL MODE troubleshooting section: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796

Thanks again for posting on the forum.  Please let us know on this issue so that we can help you.
