  Honestly, Firefox must be transportable by default. What the point of having a browser that you spent 12 months + customization with 300 + tabs open, if your Windows partition is damaged and you cannot retrieve your tabs because it is installed? I will never use the installed version of Firefox again because it is impossible to save. If I had been using portable Firefox at the time where I could have accessed my XP partition corrupted with Ubuntu live USB, back up the folder and be good to go on my new install of Windows 8. Instead I had to start from scratch. That's what you get for not using of portable software.

  This is resolved. The steps that I followed:

  1. Ignore all the Internet advice and find a way to do it myself because no one else seems to know anything about Firefox.
  2. Save the entire Firefox portable folder making it a 7zip file
  3. Disable all addons
  4. Download the latest mobile Installer
  5. Install using the portable Installer but navigate up to the existing installed cell phone directory
  6. Open portable Firefox after updating
  7. Update all addons (do not select all again)
  8. Restart Firefox
  9. Now activate the addons, then restart Firefox

  Note: installing addons now I find that I can't add using the button 'Download' for the addon, I have to copy the URL of the button, paste it in a new tab and press enter

  You can't 'close' browser cookies.  You can, however, remove them.  This error message you see makes you think you need to do this?  How are you trying to close your Hotmail accounts?

  If you use Internet Explorer, delete cookies by clicking Tools > Internet Options.  "Click on remove in the 'browsing history' on the general tab, cleck the Cookies box", then click on remove.

• File navigation on OS x using openDlg() - why all the folders are grayed out?

  I am configuring a file and folder browsing dialog that works for the two Win/OSX and with filters to narrow the search to specific file types dialog box. I received a lot of help from another user on the forum (Matias Kiviniemi) in order to obtain the function of filter working - but now I have another problem: a little strange.

  When you browse the files under OSX, all the folders are greyed out!

  You can always navigate (somewhat) via the Favorites list and directory tree button at the top in the Center, but actually clicking in the records does not at all.
  
  

  I also tried saveDlg() to browse the files, but I have exactly the same problem with greyed out records. SaveDlg() is not the second parameter (the filter function) to restrict the dialogue to a specific file type - which is something that I need.

  There seems to be backup dialog boxes _SEVERAL_ versions

  • file_entry.saveDlg (): file_entry content is the default value, but do not know if he has locked her

  the question is sloved by the following steps.

  1. in my case, the firewall is turned on then I m unable to access ebs application in the browser. so turn off the firewall on the server.

  2. in the-> simultaneous set I check every manager and change the host name of the server test (instead of host name of server prod). After eating this all is implemented successfully and works very well...

• New itunes install. All the songs are on an external hard drive. A lot of songs do not show up in itunes, but they are in the folder on the external drive.

  Recently I had to reinstall Win 10 & then itunes. All the songs are on an external HD iTunes does not show a large number of songs that are in the folder on the external drive. I copied the .itl to the new itunes folder. I also tried holding down - from itunes shift - select a library.   See make a library of portable split. Have you copied the correct .itl file, or should you connect an external hard disk .itl file? If you can find the correct .itl, it should have all your songs and playlists. See the empty/corrupted after upgrade/crash iTunes library when the library has been altered for the first time with the new system. If you have to start creating your new library in an iTunes folder to the root of the external drive and move all the media inside... \iTunes\iTunes Media before adding to the library.

  Try a reset...

  Force restart your iPhone: tap on and hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

  iTunes can create duplicates if the same content is added several times from outside the media folder when it is about to make copies of everything that is added to the library, or is added from an external drive that hosts the press kit that was disconnected during the launch of iTunes.

  Official notice of Apple on the duplicates is here: find and remove duplicates in your iTunes library. This is a manual process and article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as the lost coast and membership of playlist, or sometimes the same file can be represented by multiple entries in the library as well as a removal and recycling the file will break all the others.

  Use MAJ > display > show items to reproduce exactly to display the duplicates because it is normally a selection more useful. You must manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sort the list by Date added can make easier select appropriate tracks, but it works better when executed immediately after the dupes were created.  If you have several entries in iTunes connected to a same file on the disk hard then don't not send to trash.

  Don t think someone could help here in your case.
  No lights (power led, led battery nor ac DC plug-in led) means there could be a problem of serious material maybe the motherboard is missing.

  If the AC adapter is defective, then the laptop must always turn on using battery power ok, this is not possible if the battery would be too empty.

  So usually a technician first test adapter and should try to plug an AC adapter right in order to test this.

  But to me it looks like something wrong with a motherboard :(
  Of course, this is only my personal opinion...
