Hello

Do a system restore, if necessary in Mode without failure.

"In Windows 7 system restore:

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/products/features/system-restore

'Advanced options boot (including safe mode).

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode#1TC=Windows-7

"The Advanced Boot Options screen lets you start Windows in advanced troubleshooting mode. You can access the menu by turning on your computer and pressing the F8 key before starting Windows (press F8 at the rate of about once per second)"

  • serious problem with the network card drivers

Ok. I've been messing around last night, playing GTA San Andreas on my laptop. I wanted to see what the resolution that I could run in, so I tinker with them a little more. I tried to apply a change and my laptop screen keeps flashing between 'off' black and black 'menu of the game' and I had to manually turn off because nothing has worked. When I rebooted, I found that I had no internet. This happens fairly regularly (my laptop is a bit grumpy and so it the wireless), so I don't think about it. But this morning, when I really need to search for a document, I found that I couldn't connect to the internet - or via my wireless ethernet cable. I think I'm done at the root of the problem, however: when I go to Device Manager, every single "network card" has a yellow exclamation mark next to it. If I double click on one, it says under device status as "this device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for the device (code 31)." After seeing this, I was indirectly bothered to download/install the latest drivers for the two most important cards (Intel Pro / wireless 3945ABG and RTL9101 Realtek PCI-E). They said facilities were successful, but after a reboot, I always saw all connections and it has not responded to my ethernet cable.
If I right-click on one of the cards and choose "update the driver software", then select the new drivers manually, it starts to install it and then says "windows has detected software driver for your device but encountered an error...". This device does not work properly because windows cannot load the drivers required for this device (code 31).

I don't really know where to go from here (I'll try to update BIOS driver, but I'm skeptical that it will help), and any help at all would be much appreciated. I called HP and they said my warranty was up and wanted me to pay for their "advice".

The laptop is a HP Pavilion dv6920us.

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

What system do you currently use?

  • All the icons and shortcuts are gone from my computer screen.

I down loaded a wiget google today and subsequently, I have experienced this problem. All my programs and all shortcuts are availble by Explorer and open the folder deshtop. They work very well, but the computer screen does not display them. When I opened the they seem normal, so it doesn't seem to be a problem with the monitor. When I try to drag or send to, or save, I get a message that says that they cannot be sent to their current location. The computer knows that they are in the file offers / office but don't show them on the screen. I have add / remove programs but no change. I sent a file that was in a different place and it went in the desktop folder but not on the screen. It's like there's a toggle to see the show/don ' t somewhere. There is no corruption in the programs or files. Thank you for any advise you can give.

Attached to this day! I was able to run the restore and the date prior to the event. Only problem was Norton, I had to uninstall and re-installed but now works perfectly!

  • SVF152C29 - network card drivers

    Hey all

I need to downgrade the laptop for Windows 7 for use in an environment where Win8 is not appropriate.  The problem is the Windows 7 build I have is not the network card drivers supplied with it - and I can find no useful/reliable information on this model of laptop.

Any ideas where I can get the drivers - a link or confirmation of what drivers common machine I use would be really useful?  Weird, but I feel that this laptop model number may not be that Sony lists on his site.

    Thanks in advance

    the driver,

I can't find any information for this model (SVF152C29), it is possible that it is a model of chassis and not the exact model of your device.  You have the product code + the serial number or the serial number of the device?

  • My Windows 7 computer is no more can detect the wired network, but all my other wireless and wireline devices connect very well. Replace the network card and no change.

Hello!  This morning my Windows 7 (the motherboard Acer) desktop ceased to recognize the wired connection to its network card.  In other words, it shows kind of connection, but notes "no Internet access.  It connects to a surfboard by Motorola through one Ooma hub, although I encounter the same problem when I connect to the desktop directly to the surfboard.  All other devices Wi-wired and that connect to the surfboard are functioning properly.

Thinking that the Realtek NIC on the motherboard Asus was the problem, I installed a new Trendnet network interface card in the PCI slot.  I disabled the network card to the motherboard via the BIOS settings.  No change.  Always 'no Internet access.

Time Warner Cable test the modem from their office and said it was working properly.  I also connected a laptop directly to the surf board using the same cable, and he was able to connect to the internet.

Can someone help me understand what the problem is?  Thank you!

You have McAfee? McAfee has been updated at the same time as the last batch of updates from Windows 7 and this is the cause of problems of internet connection for most, if not all, users of McAfee.

See the communication from this "criticism" - McAfee

Some customers may experience a loss of network connectivity and/or errors in McAfee Security Center after a recent update

You should make the fix McAfee, if necessary. There are corresponding communications for their enterprise products.

I had to run the removal of McAfee Development tool a few times before and it caused a problem with the license if the PC was not connected to the internet during the abduction. Due cat of McAfee support reset their files in order to allow the relocation-reactivation. Here is their link cat - McAfee - media contains the link to the cat

  • Error message: «the virtual network on the host computer drivers are incompatible...» »

Just bought a new computer that is running Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit.

    I installed VMWare Workstation 6.5.1 build 126130.

I copied on a machine virtual from the old computer (running Windows XP Pro and VMWare Workstation 5.0.0 build 13124). I improved this VM Workstation 6.5. This virtual machine is currently running Windows XP Pro.

When I run the virtual machine on the new computer, I get the following error message:

"The virtual network on the host computer drivers are incompatible with the installed application of VMWare. Version expected 5. Please reinstall the product. Virtual device Ethernet0 will start disconnected. »

Note that the virtual machine runs; I don't have any network capacity.

I read the thread http://communities.vmware.com/thread/186731, who seems to have the same problem. He had installed 6.5 on 5.5; When he uninstalled and deleted all of the directories, and then reinstalled everything went well.

I don't have any product VMware existing on the computer that would cause this type of conflict.

So, what should I try to fix this?

    Thank you

    Wayne

    If you want to install only vmnetadapter, open cmd as admin in vmware workstation dir and run;

    "rundll32 setupapi, InstallHinfSection VMnetAdapter1.Install 128% CD%\netadapter.inf"

You can also repeat for vmnetadapter8.

If it does not run as above

    "vnetlib - install devices.

  • Management of wireless networks is empty after the reinstallation of the network cards

My user had problems tring to connect to a wireless network with the error "there might be a problem with the driver for the connection card 2 area.

    I thought about it

    I simply renamed Usrclass.dat Usrclass.old. -

  • Satellite A-C55-1N1 - upgrade of the network cards

I have a Toshiba Satellite C55-A-1N1 running Windows 8.1 and want to update the NETWORK Ethernet card both cards Wi - Fi, with the upgrade of the most important Ethernet card.

Current card Ethernet installed (by Device Manager) is Qualcomm Atheros AR8172/8176/8178 PCE - E Controller Fast Ethernet (NDIS 6 h 30). I would like to move to GigaBit Ethernet.

I don't want to disassemble the laptop to determine the size of the current map before obtaining beforehand a replacement (to avoid repeated disassembly). Can someone please help with the details of the existing card (for example what size/connections) and what other cards would be compatible to use to reach GigaBit speeds, if indeed this is possible?

Map current WiFi installed (by Device Manager) is Qualcomm's Atheros AR956x wireless network adapter. I would like to be able to also connect at 5 GHz...

As with the Ethernet card, I would get a compatible card before dismantling and would ask the same questions. I also understand that I would need 2 or 3 internal antennas to reach faster speeds of the WiFi. Can someone advise please on existing maps, maps of appropriate replacement and on the issue of the antennas.

Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

Due to specific design material update on laptops is very limited and supported. Support is upgrade RAM or HARD disk. It's nothing more than that.
You can find a list of compatible RAM memory modules to upgrade. HDD or SSD upgrade is not problematic and, on most portable models, it can be done by the owner of the laptop.

All the other hardware upgrades are not supported. I do not understand that you want to use the material with the best specification but that should help you with this?
    > Can someone please help with the details of the existing card (for example what size/connections) and what other cards would be compatible to use to reach GigaBit speeds, if this is indeed possible?
These info, you can get the laptop to the manufacturer or an authorized only, partner, but they will tell you the same thing I have already written.

My advice to you: do not disassemble the laptop on your own. In a first time the valid warranty and secondly, you can damage something.

At the end one, may be stupid, the question: what is the problem actually? Is your machine so slow or what? I mean in particular the LAN connection. It must be OK.

  • Satellite A300-1MC: network controllers drivers are not installed properly

    Hi guys...

My first lol just purchased Toshiba and I can't ge the wireless to work?
Toshiba A300 - 1MC Intel T5800 3gig of ram 20gig hard drive Vista Home wired Internet access works ok, but in Device Manager it says my network controller drivers are not installed properly?

I have reset to setting faactory and reinstalled everthing but its still the same.

Ideas a BIG help thanks in advance.

    This strange s
Usually, using the operating system recovery disc must be set to the factory setting and everything should be ok.

However, I recommend first upgrading the BIOS, then the LAN/WLan card driver.
The card chip Realtek (Realtek 10/100 Base-TX) LAN and WLan card chip is Intel (Intel 802.11 a/g/n WiFi Link 5100AGN)

Download the WLan driver from this page Toshiba WLan:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

and the LAN driver can be downloaded from the Realtek page, or on site pilot European Toshiba too.
Remove/uninstall the old drivers and then install the new drivers.

  • Close the network card?

I have a machine that I have leveled off for XP Pro SP3 because I have a few HW record that ONLY works on XP.

I want comtrol machine including = WOL WakeOnLAN remotely.

I had an old IBM Thinkcenter used for recording HW, but I want a bit more powerful machine of Noah - let's call it MC.

The MC has been running Windows 7 before but now ranked out of XP Pro SP3 and it works fine - with the exception of WOL installation.

I simply does not work and I see that the network adapter is SHUT OFF when the machine is turned off - the old IBM ThinkCenter I can always see the LED light when it is turned off.

I beleave there are new drivers for the network card, but I checked the settings on the parameters WOL and I did also the settings in the BIOS.

Still no light in the LED on the back of the RJ45 of computers. Also I see no light on the swichport where the MC cable is inserted into the switch.

It is on the Ethernet card on board and it is a NVIDIA nForce 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet with "drivers".

What can be wrong here and how I can fix the problem?

You may have read my first post that I deleted later because I had completely misread your post before responding.  As I said then, Wake on Lan is controlled by the motherboard and firmware of the NETWORK adapter, it is not dependent on the operating system, a compatible computer without any OS installed WOL can be started by WOL providing that it is properly enabled in the BIOS and NETWORK card firmware.   Windows (or other operating system) really has nothing as such to do with function Wake on Lan, the extent to which any OS with WOL is limited because it can enable the feature in the firmware of the NETWORK adapter through the drivers or other utilities provided by the manufacturer of the device.  If it worked before then you know that the computer is able to do, was not because Windows 7 has been installed, it worked because it has been correctly configured in the firmware of the NETWORK adapter and the BIOS.  When you installed Windows XP it is most likely did not have the drivers for the NETWORK card and it may have reset the NIC to default settings that cannot be reset correctly with the drivers you have installed later.  Have you installed the card mother/chipset drivers?  They may be needed for other drivers work correctly.

Wake on Lan has everything to do with the BIOS, it is implemented by the motherboard.  If your computer is capable of WOL (which we know that it is) there is an option for it in the BIOS, it might be under a different name, like "Power Up on PCI device" or something else.  If you don't see a power management Option in the BIOS, it might be in the advanced settings, it's there somewhere.  If Windows can have changed WOL BIOS settings during installation is something that I don't know, but I can tell you that Windows can change some settings in the BIOS, you can adjust the timers BIOS to start the computer at scheduled time so who knows what he might be able to change.

    Hello.

I tried restoring the system that works and that gets our screen back to normal but every day that this Auto setting is coming and we can't seem to stop it.

    Try this:

Go to the Web site of the manufacturer of your laptop computer-graphics/computer card > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

    Then:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-AU/Windows-Vista/change-screen-resolution

    Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.
