Hello

I wonder how you translate in javascript, copy the following code.

Similar to this one.

theMask.cacheAsBitmap = true;

eq_mc.cacheAsBitmap = true;

eq_mc. SetMask (theMask);

    Hello-

I'm trying to create a gradient alpha mask for a PNG file, the effect being that of a gradual of thinking gradually in the background.  CS4 does not recognize alpha or transparent solid gradient gradient black white.  It uses the gradient as the mask.

I searched and searched, but can't figure out how to make a simple gradient alpha of an image mask.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Rasthaus for concept work.

You need make the mask and maskee clips, give them instance names, set the cache as bitmap to the two true, then use bitmapcaching to make the mask work.

I think pretty good directions are here: http://www.align.sk/blog/blog1.php/2008/10/23/transparent-masks-with-cacheasbitmap-as3

  • IMAQ image with alpha (partial transparency) blending overlay?

I'm using Labview 2014 on Win7. I found examples of image color with binary transparency overlay (A + B = OUT with each output pixel is 100% image A or B of the image), but have found no examples of mixture alpha (partial transparency). For example, a few pixels output are (20% to + 80% B).   I can do it in LabView?

IMAQ ArrayToColorImage VI takes U64 pixels of the image and the clusters of 4 values unsigned 16 bit, interpreted as the red, green, blue, and Alpha planes.  Is there any VI that makes use of the 4th (alpha) plan to make an alpha blending by combining two bitmaps?

IMAQ Overlay Bitmap VI comes with the note "Ce VI does not support alpha blending." Are there any other VI that supports alpha blend?

    Hi jbeale1,

IMAQ does not display transparency. It maintains the alpha channel, but does nothing with him.

If you want to emulate transparency alpha blending manually here is a page on that are:

I hope this clarifies some things.

  • importing an eps with transparent gradient

    Hello

I have a company with transparent gradient masks logo applied. When I import this EPS in InDesign, the parts appear white and flat.

Why isn't it preserve the transparent gradient. What should I do to help it along?

    Thank you!

EPS is an archaic format without transparency support. For InDesign re - save this file under I or PDF and that place.

  • Apply the transparent gradient at the edges of the picture

I found that I can apply a fade by using the transparent gradient tool, and dragging the image.  Works very well, but I can apply only bland next to the photo. If I try to do the other side of the picture, the previous fade is canceled.  I have to save the edited photo and redo tool degraded at the other side of the peak and so on.  Goal is to apply a uneven fade to transparency on the edges of the image.   I also tried the background Eraser, the results were not great - seems to leave a lot of pixels behind.  Is there a way to do it-without repeatedly discoloration on one side, economy, erasing a side, backup, etc...?

    An even easier method (CS5):

Make your selection of what you want to keep using the marquee tool, or through a series of Select menu options (- change the border (lg) - change the pen (sm) - reverse).

    Choose Select - refine edges...

    Before you click OK:

    (1) adjust the slider to feather (large)

    (2) set the edge (left)

    (3) choose output: as a layer mask

    (4) adjust if necessary

Click OK , and there you go. Ready to Place it in another photo or on a background where it can be transformed free to meet your needs.

If you choose call settings before you click OK once you have understood what you like then it will be even easier again the next time that you need to do.

  • Transparent gradient adjustment layer

I would like to create an adjustment layer (so I can tweak easily later) which creates the exact same effect as a tool of gradient in the following example.  I for the life of me can not understand how to do, maybe it is just not possible...

Using the tool gradient to create a mask, I can easily achieve this (note the gradient fades the image but maintains a transparent background):mirror-transp.png

Using a gradient adjustment layer I am forced to choose a color (transparent white) and I get this:

    mirror-white.png

I want than the previous (bland transparent) so I can easily fall on any background color later, but I want later so that I can easily adjust the % of fade eventually.

Is there a way to make a gradient in transparent fade adjustment layer?  I thought that it would accomplish may be a combination of the mixing layer, but have not been able to understand.  I try to keep things simple, but it's ok if the solution is a bit complicated because I intend to automate it in action that will apply to dozens, maybe hundreds of images.

There is a way without resorting to dynamic objects.

There is between these two layers clipping mask. This goal is achievable by alt clicking on between the two layers, or the shortcut Alt G command. Transparency would then become dynamic to some opacity is set for the gradient. Its solid to transparent gradient

  • Why the transparent gradient does not include white?

When I use a transparent gradient on top a darker colored background, I can see white as part of the transition, even if I put it to fade to no fill.

... and, no, I don't want to use the filter to multiply to solve this problem. Must be set to 'normal' because the object will be used for the web.

This feature works fine in Photoshop.

Use a gradient from color to color. One of the colors to the opacity value of 0. Do not include white, if the 100% color is not white.

  • Transparent gradient

I want just a simple transparent gradient black on an image.  When I use the "paper" for a color shade (as say Adobe directions), it appears just as white.  I can make them very well in Photoshop and Illustrator, but can't make it work in InDesign.  Or gradients stick correctly in other programs.

Other parameters do not create the effect either - mixing effects and do it just like a muddy gray on the image.

    Please help, thanks!

    I use InDesign CS5.

In InDesign, it's a process different, as indicated below.

    1. Create your box as a solid color - your black case
    2. With the selected area, go in the effect controls panel and the "fx" dropdown, choose "" Gradient Feather. "
    3. Play with it to your heart's content.
  • Transparent gradient problem - Illustrator/InDesign

    Hello

I have a file of eps Illustrator who has a shadow using a black to transparent gradient on it, but when I bring it in InDesign the shadow has a white background. I need to place it over an image partially, otherwise it would not be a problem. Is there some sort of option of transparency I'm supposed to have selected?

Thank you very much if anyone can help

You can try to show import options when you place the file and check the background Transparent, but if this is not successful, you must resave the graphic as PDF or .ai.

  • How to create a transparent gradient?

I use Photoshop Elements 8.  This could have a very simple answer, but I can't understand it.  I'm trying to take a layer and simply get a solid image to a transparent gradient, while it disappears gradually.  It's hard to explain, but I hope you understand.  Please let me know if you know how to do this.  Thanks to a bouquet.

It would look somewhat like this:

    IIIIIIIIII IIII II I I I I

    IIIIIIIIII IIII II I I I I

    IIIIIIIIII IIII II I I I I

    ^                                      ^

    Solid picture

    Part of gradually

    Picture disappears

    If that makes sense.

Is that what you are looking for?  I used the method of Group of clipping that mentioned Terri.

1 added an empty layer below the photo layer and grouped the 2 layers.

2 set the gradient options: linear, to the first plan of Transparent

    3. calls on the gradient of approximately 1/4 from the edge left completely to the right edge.

You can continue to draw the gradient with different staart and endpoints until you get the desired result. Just a matter of trial and error.

I added the white layer so that you can see the results.

  • Import image as a mask or how to use an alpha for transparency mask mask

    Hello

Basically, I need to know how to upload 1 image in another image as a mask.

    What I'm doing:

I have a lot of large images that put together are 1 very large image (images of Earth ortho). I also have corresponding images, allows you to refer to them as images of masks, which hide a part of the big picture ortho I too want to import it. These mask images basically look like a mask of PS. They are black feathers to white images. I need to be able to import them as a mask.

Y at - it outdoors, if yes how?

    Thank you!!!

Copy the source mask to the Clipboard. In the destination doc, add a layer mask to the desired layer. In the palette layer, select the layer mask channel, make sure that it is set to visible and hide all the other channels. Paste the source into the pattern string.

You may need to invert the mask to properly operate.

  • Save the png alpha mask and background color

place vote 0 down vote favorite

My product uses 100 + white icons on a transparent background. How can I save icons with a color background, so I can see the icons in the folder view - but keep the cutting of the icon? Can I use an alpha matte, or a mask?

Without a color background, the white icon on a white background looks empty and cannot display

PNG does not support masks. However, the program that you use to display the png can allow you to change the background color.

Another option is to create a duplicate png image that has a colored background. You can add the color name to make sure that you don't overwrite the original.

  • Not-so-transparent transparent gradient

Hey, I am having trouble with the application a tool degraded to a rectangle in Photoshop CS3 for Mac OS X 5.8.  Rather than get a black color to blend into the background, I just get the black color.  And I drag and drop about 1.5 inches long.  Sometimes I find myself covering the entire image with that color, not only the object (even if the object is selected).  Gradient maps and layer masks do not seem to work.  Help?

Check the gradient tool options bar.  'Transparency' is checked?

  • Use a layer as map alpha (mask) for another - how?

Hi, I do not understand how to do this in Photoshop. In After Effects, which I use a lot, it's easy. For example, I have a layer with semi transparent, transparent opaque areas. I can then say AE to use this layer as a map of alpha channel for another layer. But how to do this in Photoshop? I understand how to use a layer mask and draw on the same layer to create spaces treansparent. But I want to use a layer of separante, or even a separate image.

    I use Photoshop CS 5.

  • mask opacity gradient logo-import in InDesign?

    Hi all

I have a small question: I use CS4 (illustrator and InDesign) on Mac OSX platform.

QUESTION: I have a one color logo (just text), which fades in transparency (a gradient opacity mask applied to the type in Illustrator). I would check how I should prepare and import this logo in InDesign -to be sure, I'm not the effect of real transparency on different pages when it is applied in my InDesign book.

    Thank you kindly,

    Chemol

You don't need to do anything the transparency that you define in Illustrator (looks like you used the opacity mask shape the transparency range brand) will come to Indesign.

In Indesign yo may want to make a view > high quality display for a more accurate preview. You can also use window > output > separation overview to checkyour, colors are separate in the right channels.
