Already deleted a saved password. How to re - register, please?

Apparently the "Save this password" option is available only when you first visit a Web site. I need to change a password afterwards and couldn't. So I deleted it. Is it possible to save it now?

It seems to be a good option. I'll check later.

It was later...
YES!

Thank you very much.

  • How can I get the 'Remember password' guest view again after deleting a saved password before?

My username and password for my University site: https://www.bb.reading.ac.uk/ stopped appearing automatically, and the password only appeared when I typed in my user name. I couldn't bother to type the username each time, so I deleted the site in the thought of section "password saved..." "I would be invited to remember the password again. But it never came and can't seem to find a function that would allow me to remember a password for the site.

Some web sites, including many banks and a few other sites, tell browsers not not to remember passwords for visitors using autocomplete = "off".
What made this page, Firefox respects the coding of the web page of the author in the pages like that.

This bookmarklet makes the browser ignore autocomplete = "off" temporarily, allows to save passwords even on sites that use autocomplete = "off".

    Don't forget to bookmark password:

    https://www.squarefree.com/bookmarklets/forms.html#remember_password

Or, you can use the extension of the editor of saved passwords for web sites where Firefox does not offer to save the/password Username.

  • Should I first delete all saved passwords before you assign the main firefox 21 password

I want to start using the "Master password" feature. There are a couple of hundred passwords 'stored' in the tab Options-Security-Saved passwords so I wonder if it would be better to remove ALL these before you set up a master password. I'll be change and delete several of the "stored" passwords in any case. But my main question is whether the 'master' password all the 'stored' existing passwords and what happens if they have already been composed anyway surfing crypterait?

Passwords current al will be encrypted with the master password if you set one, which includes the passwords that you have already saved. There is therefore no need to delete the current passwords.

  • How can I OMIT the PASSWORD to START when I turn on my computer first? (I already deleted the Windows password)

When I turn on my computer, a small box appears which says "STARTING password".  This was initially set up when I did accidentally one a fraudulent service called 'Mypcsave.com '.  The password is currently the guy who worked on my computer.  Once you enter his name, the screen, and then past to Microsoft screen where you can click on your user/guest to open a session.  All of this show has been removed to the best of my knowledge, but I would OMIT this step of signing with the STARTUP PASSWORD.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! Lora

Firefox updated from 9 to 10 and now it's as if it's a brand new facility. I've lost everything. All bookmarks, saved passwords, extensions, etc. The only things still here are the plugins (flash, java, etc.).

You can try right-clicking on the Mozilla folder > restore previous versions and copy to another location. Once copied, you can browse and copy backup files needed. Please note that the restoration is not present in every version of Windows 7.

I have email address of brand in tools/options/saved passwords. When I used google to search for 'hallmark cards', using Mozilla Firefox 12.0 the result showed my email address in a box ready to be clicked... I don't want to see my address email located by googleand displayed by firefox on a search page. I want it displayed when I go to connect on at Hallmark Cards so I decided to make a link to the page, but not when I just google the name Hallmark Cards!

This usually only happens if these data are stored as saved form data because that data are not specific to a web page, but only for a specific form or id name, so it is quite possible to get the same suggestions on other web pages if the names of the input fields are the same.

  • How to clean my computer of saved passwords and user names?

How to clean my computer of saved passwords and user names?

Original title: I'll sell my computer

You must wipe the drive and reinstall the operating system.
Unless you want other snooping in your files you need more than just delete your user names and passwords from different places on the computer.

Do not wipe the recovery partition.  The recovery partition is a small part of the disk that contains the files needed to restore the computer to factory State, see the computer user's manual or check the manufacturer support site for the from.

    Secure erase

Reinstalling the operating system will take care of the major PART of the problem, but to be completely safe, you may want to replace the hard drive.
