  You upgrade to Windows Vista or Windows 7?

  You can get your username by going to C:\Users\ and find your user name under Windows Vista and C:\Documents and Settings\ for Windows XP.

  We are unable to provide assistance with respect to the recovery of a password.

  If you are able to connect to your machine and have administrator rights, you can then change your password by clicking on start, right-click on computer and choose manage. Open the users section and groups, then users, right click on your account and choose set password.

• I can't connect to the other user account... error message read s 'user name' or password. We have not set up a password and user name is correct.

  I can not access another user account.  It to request a username and password.  I enter the user name is correct and there is no password.  The login page, used to have two icons of the user; but for some reason, the last log on the user icon is here and a new white icon for the new user.

  Once a week a few posters noted a problem similar to yours. In this case, I post the answer you see below. The little that I find very irritating that in each case, without exception, the poster was not able to return and account for the results, either because they found my recipe too difficult to follow, or because he or she lost interest, he or she could not be bothered to post a few comments for the benefit of other people with the same problem. • No place to enter the password and user name

  Until now I was using Skype without any problem and I accept all the automatic updates. A few days earlier, when I tried to log into my account, I had attached the log in page icon. There is no place to enter my username and my password. I have uninstalled and installed Skype again but the problem remains the same.   I accidentally locked my computer and now it asks username and password (windows xp). Unfortunately I forgot the two. Is it possible to reset it?

  If you have forgotten your password, if you have another user who has administrative privileges account you can log in to that account and change the password of your account of origin of the user accounts applet in Control Panel. If you do not have another account like this set upwards or that you do not have the password which you will need to log on to the built-in Administrator account. In XP Home, start the computer in Mode safe. This, by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. This will put you in the right menu. Navigate using your arrow up; the mouse does not work here. Once in safe mode, you will see the normally hidden administrator account. The default password is white.

  In XP Pro, you don't need to go to Safe Mode. In the home screen, do Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in "Administrator" and the password that you assigned when you set up Windows.

  If you have XP Pro or Media Center and have been using the account administrator for your regular work so it is the only user account on the system, there are ways to change the password for this account to a white. Microsoft does not allow us to tell how, in these forums. Their House, their rules. Use Google or ask a technician to the local computer (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad of the place). • Passwords and user name no longer works on Yahoo Mail

  Since Yahoo has changed their login screen a few days ago, that the filling of username and password did not work correctly for me. I deleted the old entrance and tried to bring it back, but it wouldn't show up on firefox. I had to use a booklet to get rid of the autocomplete = false tags so that the connection manager ask to save the password. However it does not fill it when I try to reconnect.

  I really like this feature since I use a long password for Yahoo and Firefox stores better then other browsers.
