  What Microsoft security virus app?  Is it only Microsoft Security Essentials?  Another may be a fake anti-virus, especially if it signals you infections and wants that install you something.  It is a scam.

  If this is Microsoft Security Essentials, then uninstall it from the control panel and immediately reinstall from Microsoft Security Essentials.

  Check your control panel > programs and features for what you only install and know to uninstall these now.  If in doubt ask back.  The only necessary tools which guarantee the best performances are in clean reinstall Windows 7

  Download, install, update and run full scans with Malwarebytes free Version

  and AdwCleaner , which will confirm whether you are infected or not.

  Then run file System check (SFC) Scan and repair the filesystem - Microsoft Community.

  If necessary put in Safe Mode with network to get the above done steps.

  Ask questions back if necessary and report back all results for possible further steps.

  I just finished the free 30 day trial of Adobe Acrobat.  I went and downloaded a paid version of the software (but with less features).  I had to remove the upgraded to this version.  I have paid but now cannot find the program on my laptop (which is Windows 10).  It was about 30 minutes ago.  Anyone know what happened?
