  What a click right on? Usually, you should be able to see the Page properties when you right click on the map view of a page, or you can also find properties page if you open the individual pages and then go to the Page-> Page Properties. However, if you are in map mode and you try to use the Page-> Page Properties, this does not work and the "Page Properties" option may be dimmed.

  First posted question at Adobe, so I hope it's in the right place.  I use CS5 and find that when I option-click when you use the Brush tool to select a color to brush, it sets this color as my background color.  I want to put it at the forefront (of course) so that I can immediately use the color I just chose without having to exchange the back to the front.

  I can't find a setting to change this occurrence.  Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

  Did you follow the FAQ as to change the ring of focus on the color scheme (Panel)? In CS5, it looks a little different, but should always be obvious that swatch (foreground or background) has the focus.

  I tried to stay in the Brush tool and click on the foreground color that opens the color palette.

  Opens the color picker, not color Panel (Palette). Go window > color to bring up the color Panel. Check that the ring is on the foreground swatch in the color Panel.

  The 'Tools' button should be on the menu bar. If you don't see the Menu bar not do back the following to get it

  • Press the ALT key.
  • Go to view > toolbars > customize
  • Click on the restore default set
  • Click OK

• CS4 - click on the tool always evokes secondary tools!

  It is new in CS4? Can it be disabled? Very annoying that I now need to click twice whenever I select a tool.

  In previous versions of PS, you would click and hold to set up secondary tools.

  It is a result of your control panel. On my laptop, change the speed click twice on the trackpad and stimulus Ps will accelerate if the secondary tools as I move to the fast setting. I get the same rules with the CS3 version. Try to move your setting left 2 ticks of the young. PS must be restarted to pick up the change.
