AMD chipset

Hello.

I just read the guide: general Guide to Downgrade XP for HP laptops and under the heading "Drivers of Chipset" he says:

Laptops with processors AMD must install first chipset AMD

Install .net Framework next here

Download South Bridge Driver individually, here

Where can I find Chipset AMD really? The laptop I have is going to be without decommissioning is: dv6-1210sa

Thanks in advance!

Many thanks for the pointers, I'm really stuck here...

    Hello

The AMD chipset driver is part of the graphics driver. This means that if you need to install the graphics driver XP for this laptop, the chipset driver is installed too.

You can try the graphics driver XP for Satellite A300D PSAK0E.

The series A300D PSAK0E was fitted with the same graphics chip ATI Radeon X 1200 as the Satellite L300D-11V

  • Dv6-3268 and AMD chipset

    Hi all

I used to have an Intel Pavilion for which you could download exact Intel Chipset using a link clearly identified on the page of the laptop.

Now, I bought the 3268 which is AMD based, but there is no link with the Chipset.

I was wondering if the chipset is included in the graphics driver, or in the suite Catalyst or elsewhere?

    How it work for AMD?

    Thank you!

It seems that, unlike Intel, AMD bury their chipset driver in the package with their graphics driver.

Did you use CPU - z to determine what chipset is located in your laptop? Otherwise, this information is not easy to find.

You said that your laptop "seems to be the AMD 785GX" Chipset. Do you know for certain?

    Best regards
    ERICO

  • HP Pavilion 15-n057sr: AMD graphics card does not work on windows 10

    Hello!

I have an AMD graphics card in my laptop, but there is no drivers for windows 10 forher.

Installation driver Windows 8.1, latest drivers from amd or windows has always led to a screen of death, and after him, he appears each time you start. To solve it, I fix it using restore points. So, why hp doesn't have a driver for his own material? I'm looking for a working one?

    Thank you in advance.

OK... so what this means is that, while HP provides two models of this laptop, with pre-installed Win8x and the other with Win10, they have different hardware.  The Win10 version apparently does NOT use the AMD chipset, so HP provides no driver for it.

This means that you're stuck with having upgraded a laptop computer for which there aren't the necessary drivers for HP Win10, and given that HP no longer produces Win10 drivers for older laptops, this situation will not improve over time.

If you want to have all the features on your laptop, you should consider to return to Win8xs - and that the upgrade of Win10 is known to corrupt recovery information HP OEM, the ONLY way to do that is using recovery media HP to restore laptop factory.

  • Satellite C660D - 19 X slow works - search driver chipset

    Hi all

    I have a friends C660D - 19 X PSC1YE here, because after 2 years he works more slowly.
Part of the problem should be the RAM with only 2 GB also.

We tried to reset the unit with the installation of a 2012 acronis image as everything works fine.
Fact this and also Windows more than 9 hours and more than 1000 MB.
But after a large number of reboots, he works to slowly.

If we think that we should try the driver for chipset initially.
But in what package is present inside on the Toshiba download page? What name?

Should be an AMD chipset. Right? Should we find a better offer on the page of AMD?

If this does not work, we will try to recover from the recovery partition.

    What do the experts say?

    Hello

In my opinion, you are on the wrong track
First driver chipset has nothing to do with the performance of the laptop.

As you say, the laptop was equipped with 2 GB of RAM.
This isn t the best configuration. I would recommend that you upgrade the RAM to 4 GB.

In addition, the replacement of the HARD drive to SSD drive would provide the best performance gain.
You n t believe how fast the laptop could run using SSD drive.

Finally, and especially all the processes and the applications that run in the system background would slow down the laptop. For most background applications can be disabled by loading when the system starts. I recommend to use some freeware like CCLeaner software. This helps you to clean the registry and delete the stored time. Also the background process may be disabled which appear in the Startup tab

So as I said, forget about the chipset driver. It s already installed and a part of the image.
You simply need to change the system

    Your laptop HP Pavilion 2240nr g7, is basically the same thing as my sister-in-law g6-2210us laptop HP Pavilion computer. Drivers 64-bit of Windows 8 listed for two computers are the same. I installed Windows 7 64 bit on his computer in February 2013 and used the following drivers of multiple origins;

Drivers for Chipset AMD (Chipset, USB 3.0, SATA/RAID)

    AMD Catalyst Display Driver

    Realtek FE family LAN Driver

Card reader driver Realtek PCIe RTS5229

HP sp54972 Atheros 5xxx/9xxx WLAN Driver

HP IDT HD Audio Driver sp59620

HP sp58539 touchpad driver Synaptics PS2

    HP CoolSense sp60051

and from Windows Update "HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor.

It is possible that the WLAN chipset on your machine is different and may require different drivers.

I've also updated updated the Driver of the Synaptics TouchPad for v17.0.19 on Synaptics site. Some of the factors above may require the HP sp59202 software framework. In addition, the WebCam requires the package of "VideoCM" in the folder "SWsetup" in the original install Windows 8 and CyberLink YouCam sp59986.

When you are finished, there is no unknown device on its system.

Some of the factors listed above can be point obsolete, is no longer valid downloads, etc. After installing the drivers above... Please post (text only) Windows Device Manager "Hardware ID" for all the remaining of the missing and/or unknown devices, as shown in the example below, and we can direct you to the correct drivers.

  • Problems of storage controller AMD with a 3 TB HARD drive

I recently bought a 3to HDD Seagate to use as remote storage / secondary. It seems that AMD has not updated its storage controller to recognize > 2 TB yet. I can't find drivers for my chipset anywhere at least. And it seems that nobody running them an AMD chipset is upgrading the HARD drive past 2 TB? I know that Intel has released an update for their controller that corrects this problem. Everything is available for the AMD controller like that?

Gigabyte has no mention of this existing motherboard on their support site.

That's all the help I can offer because I do not know why all the 3 TB of the drive is not visible in a big partiton unless you don't format it to GPT.

So that all 3 TB be seen in a single partition, the drive must be in the GPT format.

  • Pavilion g7 - 2354so and missing chipset Intel HM76 for win7 x 64

I replaced the Malv. WIN8 with win7 x 64 and now System Manager does not recognize devices usb, ethernet, VGA and PCI.

I think the problem is that I can't find a driver for the Intel HM76 Express chipset.

I guess HP didn't chipset for win7 drivers?

Is there any solution for this?

    Hello:

According to the product specifications for your PC, on the link below, it has an AMD processor.

The chipset spec on the support and driver page is incorrect, or the processor information are incorrect.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03617652

I'll bet that the chipset info is incorrect and based on this hypothesis, below are the links to the W7 x 64 drivers you need.

First install the AMD chipset driver and restart. First file listed on the Web page.

This will install the smbus and usb 3.0 controllers.

    http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/chipset?OS=Windows 7-64

Then the rest of the W7 x 64 drivers and software can be obtained from the g7z-2100 on the link below.

I don't know what model of laptop wireless card has, then please do the following, and I'll post the link to the drivers wireless and bluetooth, you need.

Go to Device Manager find the other devices category and click the network controller needing drivers.

Then click on the Details tab in the upper part of the window network controller.

Now, you see a drop-down list of property and it is set by default to the Description of the unit.

  • DV7-6c23cl: Dear HP, thanks for posting the drivers chipset for dv7-6c23cl

Dear HP, I assume that you read your own forums.  I tried to contact your support but which becomes very tedious.

Please report the chipset drivers on the drivers for this laptop page.

    As mentioned in this post...

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-hardware/HP-Pavilion-dv7-6c23cl-entertainment-notebook-PC-USB-...

I asked HP to include the chipset and the USB3 drivers for all of their laptop AMD based not less than 3 times.

    For some reason, they don't.

NONE of their consumption AMD chipset based notebooks have the chipset drivers AMD or USB3 on the support pages.

Only business class PC do and they only pilots USB3 and not the driver that installs the smbus controller.

But as you have in your other post, alleged that I worked for HP and deducted that I was abandoned in the course of my work, I take this opportunity to let you know that your message will be dead by HP.

Again... This is a forum for peer to peer, and no HP is what it is posted here on behalf of the company.

If you want to run this issue further to the top of the stem, then it is not the appropriate place for this.

You can send an e-mail to the management of HP on the link below and see if you can get anywhere with them.
