HelloMy source table and target tables are in different oracle 11g database servers (Instance Source and target are in different servers).
All my connections to database server successful.

For the integration
IKM Oracle incremental update.
I get the error after execution of the interface.

It is a common mistaken so nothing to worry about...
Connect to Oracle with Sql * more or Toad or any other sql client tool

Sorry, my bad. Without database at hand, I'll try 'baby steps' (borrowed from Frank) so you don't confuse it with errors that I might add (happens far too often already, but at least you won't "swallow" as forum members think is one of the main goals of this fighter - help her learn - providing not only the proverbial fish.)
Search the Forum - your problem is one of its best sellers. Watching {message identifier: = 10694602} ("split string into" was the key word used in research) you can try something asselect table_row, level clob_row, regexp_substr(char_data,'[^' || chr(13) || chr(10) || ']+',1,level) the_line from (select to_char(queue_seqnum)||':'||to_char(line_seqnum) table_row, char_data from order_details ) connect by regexp_substr(char_data,'[^' || chr(13) || chr(10) || ']+',1,level) is not null and prior char_data = char_data and prior table_row = table_row and prior sys_guid() is not null
to get all the s the_lineall CLOB and after that the use of the example even to get your columns of each the_line.

is it possible for the owners of two for one table in oracle?
SQL > select table_name, master
dba_tables 2
3 where table_name = "DEPT";
TABLE_NAME OWNER
------------------------------ ------------------------------
MANO DEPT
SCOTT DEPT
SQL >
SQL >
SQL > show user;
The USER is "MANO".Hello
This isn't two owners for 2 tables but twotables and two owners.
Log in as a Mano
make oneinsert into dept values (blahh..blahh..); commit;
Now the connection as scott
select * from dept;
You will see the difference.
What you should understand, is there are physically two tables belonged to two different users with the same name.
Hope he get out of your confusion.See you soon!

ODI - read CSV file and write to the Oracle table
Hello world
After 4 years, I started to work again with ODI, and I'm completely lost.
I need help, I don't know what to use for each step, interfaces, variables, procedures...
What I have to do is the following:
(1) reading a CSV file-> I have the topologies and the model defined
(2) assess whether there is a field of this CSV file in TABLE A-> who do not exist in the table is ignored (I tried with an interface joining the csv with the TABLE model a model and recording the result in a temporary data store)
Evaluate 3) I need to update TABLE C and if not I need to INSERT if another field that CSV exists in TABLE B-> if there
Could someone help me with what use?
Thanks in advance
Hi how are you?
You must:
Create an interface with the CSV template in the source and a RDBM table in the target (I'll assume you are using Oracle). Any type of filter or the transformation must be defined to be run in the stadium. (you must use a LKM for SQL file and add an IKM Sql control (it is best to trim them and insert the data when it cames to a file if you want after this process, you may have an incremental update to maintain history or something like that).)
For validation, you will use a reference constraints in the model of the oracle table: (for this you need a CKM Oracle to check constraints)
Then, you must select the table that you sponsor and in the column, you choose which column you will match.
To article 3, you repeat the above process.
And that's all. Pretty easy. If you do not have the two tables that you need to use your validation that you need to load before loading the CSV file you need valid.
Hope this can help you

How will I know when to run the oracle table statistics?
I have a situation Here.Several weeks back, one of my application developer complained about the performance issue in one of the application. I looked at the table statistics, statistics on the table were outdated and ran the table statistics, query ran a lot faster. The same problem occurred in another application, and hoping that oracle will take the right decisions based on the statistics, I ran the statistics for the tables involved in the query, but this time things got worse? Why is this? According to oracle documentation the optimizer must have updated statistics on the tables and indexes that surround these tables, so how do we decide when to run the statistics on the tables by making sure that we have no worse things. Thank you
You don't tell us your version of db, but if you're on 10g and above, Oracle marks as out-of-date statistics when the RASSI percentage reaches or crosses the 10%. 11.1 from automatic work, managed by the ABP process runs nightly 10om at 02:00 on weekdays (can't recall for weekends) and supports the same. The question, when to collect the statistics is actually very subjective in your environment. Most of the time, it would be a weekly or a night and work in a data warehouse, in the next window ETL. You would need to play with the amount of the percentage of blocks of the table before you would be able to come to percentage that can work for your plans in a good way. I also saw the return of cardinality plays a large role in the exercise sometimes. You can watch here as well.

problem loading data from oracle table excel table / oracle
Hi all
I'm working on the form of data transformation 2 different sources to a target table only oracle.
My first source - excel sheet.
2nd source - oracle table.
Creation of data servers, dsn(for excel), reversing everything done very well.
When I try to display the data there is a problem.
EXCEL - serial number column is displayed as 1.0,2.0,.3.0 etc. need 1,2,3,4,5...
Oracle tables-> after that reverse it does not display the data types for the selected columns.
I am not able to create a join and run.
Help, please.
Thank you
Chaitanya.Hello
Just a thought, why not u cast TO_NUMBER to the interface mapping for the serial number column?
Thank you

Hi, String, CSV file data type have values of amount a 54,356,4657.89 format. Like this. In odi, I took number (30.2) of data types for the target table. When I traced in odi, I get error like invalid number. to do this, I changed the values in csv file format. I removed commas. for example, 543564657.89. Yet once, I traced csv to oracle in odi. executd successfully. Thanks & regards, A.kavya.

Remove duplicates from the oracle table using 2 columns
Hello

Hello
Here's one way:
DELETE FROM table_x
WHERE ROWID NOT IN)
SELECT MIN (ROWID)
FROM table_x
Col_1, col_2
);
I hope that answers your question.
If this isn't the case, please post a small example data (CREATE TABLE and only relevant columns, INSERT statements), and the results you want from this data.
In the case of a DML operation (for example, REMOVE) the sample data should show what look like the paintings before the DML, and results will be the content of the or the tables changed after the DML.
Explain, using specific examples, how you get these results from these data.
Always say what version of Oracle you are using (for example, 11.2.0.2.0).
See the FAQ forum: Re: 2. How can I ask a question on the forums?

Team,
What are all the options database Oracle to cleaning a historical data data warehouse tables.
We intend to have a main table that will serve the period of 60 days, 90 days for each table
For example: more than 60 days in X table data will be purged.
It would be useful that I get some suggestions on this purge mechanism.
Thank you...

I like to write PLSQL code that will receive these data with XML tags and insert it into the Oracle Table. Is this possible with built-in XML features provided in the Oracle database?
Please Guide...
Kind regards
PriyankaBut the problem is the file XML is to have the details of the records if you carefully observed the XML file. But by using more high statement select I get output in the following format.
ORG_ID REQ_LINE PO_NUMBER EXPECTED_REC_QTY USER_NAME REQ_NUMBER
204204 1444714450 11 64446445 11 OPERATIONSOPERATIONSThe table has only one row, so you get a single row as output.
I'm surprised that you find useful examples showing how to divide the data into several lines.(1) create the table with the following option, it will optimize the performance of storage and query for large XML documents:
CREATE TABLE xxios_xml_data_test(xml_data XMLTYPE) XMLTYPE COLUMN xml_data STORE AS SECUREFILE BINARY XML ;
(2) interview table with:
SQL> select x.* 2 from xxios_xml_data_test t 3 , xmltable( 4 '/Results/Row' 5 passing t.xml_data 6 columns ORG_ID number path 'ORG_ID' 7 , REQ_NUMBER number path 'REQ_NUMBER' 8 , REQ_LINE number path 'REQ_LINE' 9 , PO_NUMBER number path 'PO_NUMBER' 10 , EXPECTED_REC_QTY number path 'EXPECTED_REC_QTY' 11 , USER_NAME varchar2(30) path 'USER_NAME' 12 ) x 13 ; ORG_ID REQ_NUMBER REQ_LINE PO_NUMBER EXPECTED_REC_QTY USER_NAME ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------------- ------------------------------ 204 14447 1 6444 1 OPERATIONS 204 14450 1 6445 1 OPERATIONS

Hello gurus,
We are building a new application and identified that some tables will be access very frequently. To decrease the I/O we intend to CACHE these tables. I don't know if we have made the right decision. My question what are the things you need to consider before caching of Oracle tables.
Any help much appreciated. Thank you.

Why do you think that this will improve the performance? Oracle default algorithm for the dating of the blocks that are rarely used is good enough for most applications. Why do you believe that you can identify what blocks will be more benefits to cache better than Oracle? Why do you think that you wouldn't be better off giving any pool cache size KEEP you would give to the DEFAULT pool and let the algorithm of Oracle caching to cache everything that it determines is appropriate? It is possible that there is something that you know your application that allows you to make that kind of determination. But in the vast majority of cases I've seen, people who tried to do end up hurting performance at least a little bit because they forcing you Oracle to the margin at the age of the blocks that it would be beneficial to cache and it would benefit from aging on blocks.
Do you understand the impact of the maintenance of the use of multiple buffer caches? If you use a recent version vaguely Oracle and by using the features of automatic memory management, Oracle does not automatically manage default buffer caches. That increases the likelihood that the use of default buffer caches is will create performance issues, because humans are much less effective to recognize and react to changes in memory usage and greatly increases the amount of monitoring and work that administrators must make on the system (which, in turn, increases the risk that they are making a mistake).

Have you considered using the storage relational object for this?
Since you have patterns, you could record in the database, which will automatically create storage appropriate for your XML documents as well as validate at the time of insertion.
You can then create individual views to query the nested parts of the document and finally insert the data into relational tables final.See the documentation for an introduction to the concepts:
http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/AppDev.112/e23094/partpg2.htm#g997354You will find examples on the {forum: id = 34} forum and its FAQ: {: identifier of the thread = 410714}

DBMS_XMLQUERY is a wrapper for the methods in the Java class "oracle.xml.sql.query.OracleXMLStaticQuery".
The problem is that Oracle 10 g XE is not a JAVA virtual machine, you can not use this package.Use DBMS_XMLGEN instead, it provides similar functionality and is more effective (C-based):
SQL> var g_clob clob SQL> DECLARE 2 l_ctx dbms_xmlgen.ctxHandle; 3 BEGIN 4 l_ctx := dbms_xmlgen.newContext('select * from scott.emp'); 5 :g_clob := dbms_xmlgen.getXML(l_ctx); 6 dbms_xmlgen.closeContext(l_ctx); 7 END; 8 / PL/SQL procedure successfully completed. SQL> set long 5000 SQL> set pages 1000 SQL> print g_clob G_CLOB --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank youIf you want to use the dimension essbase as a source, then you'll need extract the size of a target using the 'LKM Hyperion Essbase METADATA to SQL.
It would be also possible to go directly to the planning of the relational tables in the applications, but you must have an understanding of how they work.See you soon

Hi all
I just updated a table in a flat file to oracle table source.
using the incremental update of IKM.
ODI throws an error saying that 'NO KEY IN your target error DECLRED'
I don't have permission to modify the table structure. should I please?
Thanks in advance,
IdoHello
Do you know which column can be used as a key for the comparison update?
If Yes, then you can select this column as the KEY in the ODI interface. It is not necessary to have this column that is marked as key in the database.Thank you
Fati
