  Solution:

  Do not use the underscore sign. Somehow PremierePro CC 2014 8.1 does not recognize the card where the files are located in. For example: B-roll 20140828_mov, rename as B - roll 20140828-mov, recreate a link to your files and they pop up again.

  I can't explain why this solution is needed on the MacPro (okay, 2009, but run OSX 10.9.5) and not on the new MacBookPro with the same operating system installed.

  I can't download any file in my first items 10. get the error message "the importer reported a geniric error." He used to work fine before (I downloaded file even earlier). My laptop was crushed. So I restored and reinstalled PE10. I lost my serial number original PE10. Got the new issue of the Tech Support series. Now, I can not download any file.   By dragging or by using the media browser to import these mxf files causes the error: "the importer reported a generic error.

  I installed the Plugin on Adobe Sony RAW but still get the error in both CS6 & CC.

  Recently updates to Cs5. I get the "importer reported a generic error" when I try to import a .psd file. I have photoshop CS 2 installed.

  When I try to import jpeg, tiff or any other fotmat still I get errors such as "the bitdepth is not supported" and other such errors. I can't import still images. It's really frustrating.

  Work is about to export a still of the time line. Open in photoshop and save it as a psd with layers. import the layer I first wanted to import.

  any ideas of what could be the cause?

  Welcome to the forum.

  There are several considerations with still images:

  They MUST be RGB.

  They cannot be indexed or CMYK.

  They cannot be progressive JPEG.

  They can be a higher resolution to 8 bits.

  PSD have had problems, if a layer (or more) are smaller than the full pixel x pixels of resolution.

  They cannot be larger than 4096 x 4096. Prosaic, quality will be better, if we adapt to close the project frame size in PS.

  Let's see - to be a little more "they can't be', but I can't think of them now.

  A tip, I would also give is the importance of the order of mapping. Basically, if you like the mappings you should order based on volume. If a similar mapping affects a large volume of documents, you want to apply only the first. This allows to reduce the Recordset down over time so that the least used mappings go against the smallest possible demappe data set.

  DJ, the version number is in the subject line: 5.7.1. It's weird because this version should support the D5300 very well. My main guess would be a bad player or a bad USB cable.

  FDM users are not able to see all the default reports that are available for analysis. I checked the MenuNavigation and MenuNavigationItems under the object of maintenance in FDM who 'ALL' to the level of provisioning.   I'm converting a database of its current WE8ISO88591 character set AL32UTF8
  I use NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS to TANK so I don't have to increase the length of the column.
  
  I followed the instructions in the Oracle:

  Except import that takes too long.
  
  I took a full database export WE8ISO8859p1 and now its importation in AL32UTF8.
  
  It is always difficult to prove slow source; but I think it has to do something with NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS. On the same
  Server; If the new database was in WE8ISO8859P1, a 5 million row table import took 2 hours; but in Al32UTF8 with NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS it takes 1 day!
