• How can I update my Slatebook for Android 4.4 KitKat?

  I just bought Android Slatebook of HP laptop. I am wanting to know how to upgrade to android 4.4 KitKat. I looked in the settings of the Android and found the option to update, but I was told my system is up to date. KitKat 4.4 update not aired at all yet or I'm doing something wrong?

• Android update of Kitkat 4.4.4 downgraded the Walkman app

  Walkman app on the earlier version of Kitkat was updated about a month ago and allowed to play music files. However, the current application of Walkman on Kitkat 4.4.4 shows no record. In fact, the version on Kitkat 4.4.4 is an older one.

  Sony has released an update to the Walkman software. It is now the version 8.4.A.4.4.

  I currently have windows 10 on laptop, but since obtaining my Asus android tablet, with KitKat 4.4.2 it's hard to go back.  I have a wireless keyboard, the 8-inch Tablet has its own stand and I found that my productivity on a wide range of items picked up!  My question is what version of Adobe DC for android tablets?  Or is this one?

• Yoga 8 to 10 pills - Kitkat 4.4.2 - poor streaming

  After the KitKat 4.4.2 some clients report the poor streaming on Netflix and Google + Hangouts on their Yoga 8 or 10 tablets (B6000-F/H or B8000-F/H).

  Please note that Lenovo has escalated internally on this issue. I was personally able to replicate these reports.

  After the upgrade to KitKat 4.4.2 some customers report that sometimes after the device wakes up from his sleep, the Wifi connection does not have on their shelves of Yoga 8 or 10 (B6000-F/H or B8000-F/H). Also, Notifications may not show the name of the connection.

  Please note that Lenovo has escalated internally on this issue. Personally, I was able to reproduce the Wifi Notification does not display is not the name of the wifi connection.

  KitKat OTA V28 is out on January 26. It should solve this problem.

  If you are not currently running this update, you can download it by going to the setting - on tablet PC - upgrade of the system. Your device will then check to see what updates are available. These updates for Yoga Tablet 8 and 10 (B6000 and B8000) begin with "A442_001_028".

  Please note that if you have many updates installed, the unit can only allows you to install two daily and the installation process may take several days to complete.

  Hi Shiuyin, welcome to the Forums of HP. I understand that you are not able to copy files to the SD card after upgrade to KitKat. Android has changed their security settings, and you will probably need to find a file to upgrade Manager.

  Hi all, I'm in France, and recently I bought two devices Xperia Z2: smartphone and tablet.

  Both are fairly thin (if problems access except performance bad battery and SD card).

  I use always have the latest version of the OS installed.

  On the page "Software updates to Xperia Z2" of Sony, I read:

  Android version: Google Android 4.4 (Kitkat)

  Latest available software: 17.1.2.A.0.314

  Release began: 2014-07-18.

  On my smartphone:

  Settings > about phone > Build number / version.

  Model: D6503

  Android version: 4.4.2

  Build #: 17.1.1.A.0.402

  The Sony's Web site version is probably more recent, but I have a message on my phone saying that the latest version is installed.

  Is this OK, (maybe because I am in France) or do I have to update with PC Companion?

  I really want to fix two recurring problems of my 4.4.2 version: performance of the battery and moving the applications of memory internal to the SD card. (But what version of Kit Kat which will correct?)

  This morning, I received a notification about an update to the version of Android.

  I downloaded and installed, and now, my version is 17.1.2.A.0.314, the same as on the web page of Sony.

  As I am a new owner of Sony / user, I am pleased to see that Sony really updates its operating system.

  On my previous phone (not Sony) and the years of 3 1/2 that I used it, has never been updated Android version.

  I made a flash animation in cs6 and publish it in android for air 3. but I do not see the apk running file on my android device seen KitKat in there it gives error unfortunately xyz has stopped

  Over the years, AIR has been improved. You use 3 of AIR, and the current version is 21. It might be useful to download the latest version of the SDK and adding in CS6. Go to the Help menu, and then choose Manage Adobe AIR SDK... Add the SDK software once you have downloaded it.

• Videos still automatically load even if the box 'allow autoload' is not checked.

  I use Firefox on my Android phone running Kitkat.

  When you click on the various sites (mainly in the news and ' how to), some videos of begin to play automatically.

  I checked under settings/display and the box 'Allow Autoplay' is NOT checked - video should start obviously not play.

  This isn't a problem of Facebook that I do not use Facebook.

  There are some sites that start automatic playback of the file using JavaScript. It is not currently blocked in the final version of Firefox. However, in a development version of 41, we blocked this behavior. This version is planned for the end of September.

• Skype keeps disconnecting me on all platforms...

  When I connect with Skype, I'm signed in for just a few seconds. (Mostly) I see the names of my Skype Contacts list (so it's really my account) then Skype automatically signs my out and I get a screen of Skype telling me that I'm out.
  I tried to connect to my laptop with Windows 7, desktop PC with Windows 8, on a PC with Linux and my tablet with Android 4.4 KitKat. They all have the latest version of Skype installed.
  It makes no difference if I try to connect with my Skype name and password or with my Facebook account.
  However, I can sign my account with a web browser on the Skype Web site with my name of Skype and password.
  Can there be something wrong with my Skype account?

  This problem is solved by doing this (post earier of Akyll):

  Please remove the link your account to your Skype account.

  To untie your Skype and Microsoft or Facebook accounts:

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. In the Details section of the account, click account settings.
  3. In the linked accounts section, click Remove next to your Microsoft or Facebook account.
  4. Opens an information window.
     If you had a previous Skype account, read the information and, if you agree, select continue to disassociate your Skype accounts and Microsoft or Facebook.

• SLATE 21 MEMORY STICK

  Hi, I have a slate 21 my problem is that when I plug in my memory stick I can see it in the file manager, but not the content. All the files on the memory stick are in Hp media player and the books I have on there under the picture so that I can't read.

  The other problem is that when I try to copy something on the memory stick Manager of files stops and shows me unfortunately, file manager HP has ceased. Can you please tell me how to fix it.

  We do not support the rooting in any form.

  Our system does not prohibit this. As mentioned earlier, the operating system Android 4.4 KitKat won't allow any application, including the operating system itself, to move or manipulate files that are not in the same location as the application itself.

  I.S. = internal storage

  External storage = E.S.

  Application = AppA

  Request B = AppB

  If AppA is on I.S., he should be able to read and use files on I.S. or E.S., but cannot move, delete or create files on E.S.

  I have an old samsung GalaxyGT-P1000 7.1 Tablet and I need to transfer my pictures from the t to my laptop but not having success with samsung kies it says do not save it and double-click and follow the instructions on the screen, but all that happens is that I get a progress bar popup that stayed like that for hours I tried several times without success.  I used to have it OK on an old laptop.

  I understand that you want to transfer your photos from your old Galaxy Tab phone to PC but have failed. You encounter a problem copy other files to or from the computer?  Since it would be a problem with your tablet, you might want to post your question in the Samsung forum.  Even if you don't have a HP Tablet, this link may help.
