Animate the button text on the timeline
Hello world
This is my first time to follow step by step from a youtube video:
After effects CS5 - basic text Animation - YouTube
experience animating text in aftereffects.
My 1st question is:
There is no button on my text on the timeline layer.
I have to go to the animation > animate text
Is there a way to animate the button on the timeline?
My 2nd question is:
Why there is no numeric value next to start, end, and offset?
What have I done wrong?

Animate CC - insert empty frames in the middle of the timeline
Hi all
I am new to animate and it am listed this as I go along.
I make a film about a minute maximum. The film is just images and texts so straight forward, enough but I can understand how to insert frames empty in the middle of the timeline without screwing up the different positions of key frame.
I have attached a picture showing what I have to do. It is a scenario to "part of the seas" - I need to leave empty keyframes on the left where are and transmit the images on the right. Looks like it should be an easy thing to do, but for all my violin I can't understand it.
All help appreciated.

I'm not 100% clear on what you are doing - but this may help.
You can insert new frames with F5 and new keyframes with F6 (vacuum keyframnes with (F7). If you click and drag across multiple layers in an image, the command will affect all selected layers.

means textfield salma is failed name located in the parent timeline. here your btn1 located in the timeline of the child.
My question is what is the inverse of the timeline?

the movieclip that contains salma needs an instance (on this relative chronology) name, for example, c1. You can then use:

I use a series of buttons for navigation. When I click on one and go to another point on the timeline, I want the idle state to persist.

Try this: symbol door button label to the top and bottom and outside (I do not use the State, but you can add the functionality).
You can also use setVariable() and getVariable if you prefer.

Need to call a click on the button of the timeline

I use Edge Animate 2014.1.1
I have an interface quite complicated with lots of buttons. I need buttons to perform certain actions when you click on, but need them also for 'fire' (as if they had been clicked) when certain points are reached in the timeline panel.
I tried to keep as much of my code as possible in compositionReady and I used the .bind function to apply the button actions:

Can someone tell me how to put something on the timeline at some point in the animation that activates the button as if it had been selected by the user?

Personally I make reusable code into its own function, then call it from various locations that you need for the code to run.
doSomething = function() {}
code here.
}
Then call it from your click event
sym.getSymbol () .bind ('click', function() {}
doSomething();
});
And you can call it a trigger
Symbol.bindTriggerAction (compId, NomSymbole, "Default editing", 2599, function (sym, e) {})

Text captions do not transition on the slide, despite the settings of the timeline.
I have a slide that needs two sets of bullets to appear, one after the other. I staggered them on the timeline, so that one appears and then the other. No matter what I do, only the first text caption appears.
The first value arise only during 10 seconds. The second is to appear within 12 seconds.
The slide is "Continuous" on enter. I even gave the Transitions text elements to see if it would help.
No matter what I do, that a second never appears... and one never goes away.
They are all at the top of the timeline - nothing's hiding nothing.
What Miss me?
What is this video? How did you test? Preview or after publication.
You have two buttons on this slide that break at 1.5seconds. The user must click one of these buttons to release the read head. Until it is by clicking on the read head will stay there, and only 3 of the top text captions will be visible. When clicked, the playhead will continue.

Create a button to force the read head to a specific frame in the timeline
I have a slide with a timeline of about 60 seconds. Meanwhile, several things happen (text/images/objects appear and disappear, etc.). I now need the ability to allow the user to click on an object (button, text, image, whatever), which would allow to get to the next event in this slide. So, this solution must have the ability to skip the long as well as audio and audio playback to another point in the timeline panel.

No matter where on the timeline are your buttons?
I'm doing a site and I don't want some of the buttons to show all the time. So, for example, I have four text buttons with Actionscript Mouse_Over frames 1-40 on the timeline. 41, they left and four new buttons come into play. When I test the movie, the second series of reversals of the specified links to labels.
I get this message "error 1009 to frame () 1. Initially, I had the same problem with the four top buttons as I had them appear on the stage at frame 3. After that I moved to frame 1, reworked transfers.
So is it possible to hide the second set of buttons up to a specific time or should I start on frame 1?
Is there a way you can view my Fla file to see if it's something I'm just? My Script is correct.

Location of the buttons of the issues in the code that is associated with them must be where they are instantiated/required. If you have code Framework 1 for the buttons, but they do not exist until the frame 2, this code does not work for them.
You can control the visibility of the buttons by setting the "visible" property true or false according to the needs. If you could have all the buttons of the first image, do those who should not appear until late invisible anymore. Similarly, when you get to frame 41, you can make them visible and then hide the other four.

In a sequence of CTF, is it possible to obtain a text file of clips in sequences display (name and duration)? There is a display of text file for clips (cmd-9). Zoom the timeline makes this visible annotation for shorts, cancels but the ability to see the whole sequence of the time line. Of course, it would help my editing.

In Final Cut Pro 7, you can use editing > find command to search on used clips in the sequence. See if there is an equivalent command in FCE. Unfortunately, I can't determine that at first hand on my system. (In addition, if you are still interested whereas FCP X, there the so-called Timeline index which provides quick access to a list of markers, clips, effects, etc..)

I am unable to do anything slip into my calendar - even the same clip that has already been inserted. I have toggled buttons source/target, no luck.
If you are in or the points on the timeline, delete them. Just a guess.

Design of a project in Captivate 9 and I have slides which have up to four images appear as audio talk about them on specific slides. My problem I have is when I single click on the play button on the timeline, images, and audio all play properly and in sync. When I select to get a glimpse of a slide or publish the file. Captivate times only the first picture on the slide, none fade in or disappearance of the first image and 2nd image doesn't appear at all. Or my other images will appear. Any suggestions or recommendations for my number is greatly appreciated.

When you use play Slide you do not have a real overview.
As I suspected; you have added 3 buttons, which are a break from the slide to 1.5secs. This means that only objects that have their chronology from before these points of suspension will not be visible until you click on these buttons. You have another click box, I do not know for what reason, which suspends the slide at its end.
Either move you the point of suspension to a location after the entry of the last image button, shortly after 40 seconds and you can get rid of that click on the box or going out the break FRO the buttons and keep the click box. Use the timing Panel to get rid of the break for the buttons if it is your choice.

I have a project on a slide, with a synchronized video multiple sliders in one minute. I have two buttons that appear after 10 seconds and pause the slide/video. If the user clicks A button, the action is set to 'continue' and the slide/video starts playing where it left off. HOWEVER, if the B button is clicked, I want the action to skip the user on the timeline to 45 second mark. Is there a a way to do this using advanced actions?
Yes, with micro-navigation, which means that you use the cpCmndGotoFrameAndResume system variable and you will need to calculate the number of frame, which can be done with the same tip action. Chassis numbers start with 0. More information on Micro-navigation:

Display text after an interval of time on the timeline

I have an audio file on a drag and drop quiz. I want to display a text caption a few seconds after the end of the audio, I noticed that 'something' is a break from the game header before either for text captions. Is it possible that I have that works on a quiz slide / move.

Will try with an image. You do not change the point of suspension of the D & D, which is located at 1.5secs. For this reason only the audio never played before that the user has submitted the D & D. There is not need to slide that long either. I created this for you, and it works perfectly. Text with audio 2secs, I changed the suspension point of the D & D at 4secs. It's not because of me that the point of suspension does not appear in the timeline panel, I very much regret and recorded a feature request to make it visible.

addition of html in the box edge animate the text of the external js file
I have a text field in the anime that I want to update with a score of edge. The function that allows you to click and update the partition is in an enternal file so I'll try to figure out how to get my div animated dashboard replaced by jquery in the external file. That's what I have so far in the external js, but it is not reading the field to animate the text of edge correctly:
