Animation in After Effects with videos

During the animation in After Effects, instead use a background Uni, can I use a video as a background and play as the character moves? I don't see why it wouldn't work. I've seen people question about animation Flash ect and the development, but I need to animate in the AF. I hope someone can help out me!

There are several ways to create a die animation between Photoshop and After Effects.

Here are two simple methods:

1. create a platform of character parts in photoshop (head, torso, branches) on separate layers.  Later, import those into a project and animate as individual layers.

2 animate in PHOTOSHOP. If you animate traditionally by the drawing of each image in Photoshop, make sure that you start on an empty layer (not a background merged/flattened).  You can then import the photoshop document as if it were a movie, but still have the ability to change it.

  • Dance of the Rotoscoping in After Effects with motion tracking?

    Hello!

How can I copy the movements of real popular dance to a video into a cartoon character using rotoscoping/masking/motion tracking in AE?

    Example:

Neytiri dance rotoscoping/animation at the beginning still very rough - YouTube

Tracking and Rotoscoping in After Effects: dance-2014 Jayant Sharma - YouTube

    Thanks in advance!

in the Express.ypH you have provided there is 2 things and none of them is the cartoon character who is drawn on a video:

    • * the first is a 3D CGI that mimics the movements of dances from the dancing and I think that this has been done from observation. certainly NOT the Rotoscoping.
    • * the second example is a dancing man - a video cutting cutting - perhaps he was dancing in front of a greenscreen, we do not know but is not a caricature but a cutting of a video which has been applied some effects to make it more graphic but still, it's a video and I think that one who was cut by using matte procedure (picture effect) after the dancer was shot in front of a green screen. the face attached to the dancer is a follow-up on the face and securing its position and rotation of the information from tracking data so it will match. This is called the track or the movement of the game and it is a skill that requires time and patience to learn. but it is sometimes easier than rotoscoping. the two can be combined together to make life easier for the ROTO. but it's advanced things.

On rotoscoping as an Art to cut out an Image of a video (not picture on it):

There are several ways to make rotoscoping (cutting of the motion picture), and they all need a lot of practice and patience. There is no way to do it easily and it is a skill that takes time to penetrate. different types of techniques are described here: https://www.fxguide.com/featured/the-art-of-roto-2011/

draw on top of a video (without cutting) is animated rotoscoping and can be done in Photoshop. some do it with "Chronology of Animation Frame" and others with "timeline of the video.

The main workflow is the following:

    1. you import your video in photoshop

    2. create a timeline of this video

    3. do frame-by-frame on top of the video

    4. export the sequence as a new video

more on the process of these Roto technical animation can be found in this post.

Re: rotoscoping techniques: Animation video vs Timeline -there are links and information in the post of different examples. the post is a work in the making. • animated transitions (After effects workflow cp8)

So I have a PNG of a photoshop project, I created, I use that as my title of Cp8 slide put a button under the word 'Start' which takes me to slide 2.

Slide 2 is actually a .f4v video created in After Effects, without the skin, with all the elements (text, graphics) of the .png animation off-screen. Slide 1 slide 2 are exactly the same, so when the transitions (fixed image) s1 to s2 (video) it should be transparent.

However, the screen turns white for about a second when you click on the button 'Start '. How to stop this 'leap' and get a nice transition seamless?Screen Shot 2016-05-26 at 14.03.36.png

Action button (under the word 'Start') is continuous. Why the discrepancy between the two slide 1 and slide 2. I spent all day on it, reinstalled Cp8, was on the phone to Adobe... aaaaaaaaaarrrrggggh if anyone can help me solve what they can marry my sister!

Insert the video as the video synchronized several slide

Select the option of extending the duration of the slide to accommodate the video

Change the following line in your AdobeCaptivate.ini found here: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 8 x 64

Put the button on top of the video and set the pause button at the beginning of the video.

Bad idea. After Effects is not software editing. You want to Premiere Pro for editing of a film. That's much, much, much better at home because that's what it's designed to do. When it comes to Visual effects, compositing and motion graphics, so you must use After Effects to these tasks.

    Lukwin8 wrote:

An i5 will work to launch After Effects. The clock speed of the processor will make a big difference in the AE speed makes things.

    Get 16 GB or more.

    Lukwin8 wrote:

What are the 3d effects you plan to use? There could be several things that you hear here.

If you're talking about ray-traced rendering introduced in CS6 engine, I would advise against using it. She is considered obsolete by the After Effects team and I don't know any people who used it professionally.

If you're talking about the substitute continually improve the ray-traced rendering engine (the inclusion of Cinema 4 d with your subscription to After Effects), the GPU is not relevant. C4D renders on the CPU.

If you talk about AE own 3d space (which is technically 2.5 d), the GPU is not relevant AE makes it only on the processor.

If you talk about third-party plugins as item 3d, 3d Zaxwerks Invigorator, Shapeshifter of the courage, etc., you will need to check on their needs.

If you have after effects CC 2015, then you have a subscription with Adobe which includes AE CS6, CC, CC 2014, 2015 CC and next version of After Effects coming out for as long as you are subscribed.

How to find and install previous Version of Adobe Apps in 2015 CC

    Lukwin8 wrote:

If you only subscribe single-app for After Effects, just get the regular subscription to creative cloud. It's cheaper than to make two single-app subscriptions and it includes After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Audition, SpeedGrade, Illustrator, Muse, Animate, Dreamweaver and many other professional programs like that.

If you want to do video editing, you'll want to have Premiere Pro. After effects is ideal for animations, compositing and effects Visual, but it's TERRIBLE editing. Premiere Pro, use for this!

    Hope that helps.

  • Can I run After Effects with 2.4 GHZ Quad Core i7 Processor, 16 GB of RAM and a new SSD hard drive?

I have a 2011 Mac Book Pro with 8 GB of RAM and The RAM Preview plays in 10 second Incraments. I want to pull out my hair! I don't have the sum of $ to buy a new computer. If I switch to 16 GB of RAM and get a new drive SSD will work After Effects, or I lose my $$. Please help, I have a very important project. It is about 12 minutes long and I need to add a lot of sequelae to complete my project

First of all, you have optimized your system: Optimizing after effects of performance - Support Adobe

Second, it looks like you are fairly new to AE and that your workflow is not very effective. Here's the deal. After effects is not an editing application, it is a graphics and compositing designed app to create shots or short sequences. In addition, I would say that more than 90% of my AE projects are less than 10 seconds, because I created shots (with handles - extra images) I'll change in the body or some other NLE. Some of these comps second 10 have a hundred layers or more. If I had to do 12 minutes into a movie I would fuck the cut first in Premiere Pro to understand what was the best way to tell the story, then each shot than necessary effects would become a separate AE comp. At the very least each scene must be a model. In most of the stories that are told, as a film, a scene are only a minute or two. The average is probably less than 6 seconds. I can't imagine putting together 12 minutes in a single model AE, not because I couldn't, but because I would probably change the "timing" of some of the cuts, edit audio or make some other change before I made and changes in the middle of a project of 12 minutes would be a nightmare.

Here's how a work on almost all editing projects.

    • First installation in a NLE such as Premiere Pro until the story is logical
    • Put the shots in AE requiring animation or effects
    • Inside AE, I first make a test pencil to check the overview and animation timings with the Panel of the model to 50% or even 25%, and automatic resolution scheduled to ensure that the timing is ok
    • Effects are added and critical frames are checked 100% for color and everything else but I rarely to ram preview several frames because I'm already happy with the calendar
    • The model is sent to the SOUL (Media Encoder) or sometimes the cue to render to render in a production format appropriate (usually 10-bit or better, often a sequence of images)
    • If the model is sent to the SOUL I continue to work on the next shot until I finished all the effects work
    • The effects of rendering images are reduced in the NLE to replace shots in the rough cut and editing is polite
    • The project is then added to the hearing for the final mix
    • The final color ranking is made - usually in the category of speed or resolution
    • The final product is made to a production for archiving format and a format of distribution (usually h.264 mp4)

There are a lot of bounce back, but it's the most effective way to work on any project. Have you noticed that an overview of full resolution RAM full length does not at any time?

If installation requires only a few short shots or sequences to AE, I will occasionally use Dynamic Link, but most of the time all the effects work is made. It just makes it much more efficient.

    I hope this helps.

  • rendering of 3D animations in After Effects?

So I use Blender to render 3D images that can take forever depending on the samples with the engine cycles. Basically, I wonder if I can import templates 3D and then create an animation using those, and if after effects will make more effectively or even not at all.

    specifications are:

    CPU: i7 4770 k @ 3.8 GHz

    GPU: GTX 780

    RAM: 16 GB DDR3

C4D Lite lets you import 3d models and render in AE, but if you want a really fast rendering engine, try a third party plugin such as element or 3D Invigorator.

  • After Effects controlled videos

    Hello community,

I have a Question I hope I can find an answer to it.
I want to create a video presentation of sequels, the thing is, I'll create a 20 min video and I want to add this video software any who can act as a kind of PowerPoint to talk.

The idea is just like in the movies, the presenter clicks the button and a video outro video another will come in... Something like this here: CyberTech HUD Graphics Pack - After Effects Project Files. VideoHive

But controlled with clicks... Now the Question is: HOW?

Its very important I find friends answers, please help.

    Thank you

Something like Prezi is ideal in this situation. I don't think that adobe currently has an equivalent

  • Model of C4D in After Effects with camera Tracker followed

Hello, I have a problem of my C4D object in my after effects Comp for camera monitoring.  I create a model with videos that I then followed camera. I choose a bubble and position it where I would

as the object to be placed C4D. I right click on the bubble and "set the ground plan and origin." I have then place the C4D object in the model and set of Cineware for "Camera model". Now, the object of C4D is placed where I

placed the bubble, but it is very very low. I can hardley see it. How can I put the object closer to the 3D Tracker camera until the camera begins to move? Or can I put the 3D camera to the Tracker to

the object in front of the camera starts to move. I also tried 'Center Comp Camera' but then the small item C4D disappears and turns off the screen. I appreciate the answers. Thank you very much.

  • After Effects with game development

My partner and I are creating a game in Java.  We used After Effects to create animations and export them as png sequences.  Part of the reason why I use AE is so that I can get really smooth animations.  Well, we did the procedure traditional sprite sheet with the png, but there are many and our graphics are HD.  Loading time got out of control.

My question: is there a generally accepted approach to implement AE animations in a game engine (our supports keyframe animation, btw) without doing it just on a frame-by-frame?  As a way to simply give the engine the layers of the project as well as the indications to animate the AE?  In this way, that we would not have so many images.

Yes, you can create animations in AE and then export processing its data to use in your game engine, as long as you use images png and any transformation which can be converted into a transformation matrix. I have a script that can do this kind of work. You can learn more here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkF_de_dxOA

  • After effects with Premiere problems

This is driving me CRAZY.  I'm using Adobe CS4.  In after effects, everything works perfectly.  Then I go in first and import an After Effects file, put it on the timeline, and all is well.  I then add a key to the alpha setting and the picture goes black.  I delete the key (alpha to 100% of course) and it reappears in the preview window.  It is not specific to this project either.  It happens with any after effects file imported into first (I tried about 10 different project files).  I ALSO have this problem on my laptop.  My computer 3 However, I don't have this problem.

If I have any overlap 2 after files of effects within the same first problem, the screen becomes black.  I tried to make the video and the video also makes all black in any format, quicktime, avi, mpeg1 and mpeg2.

If I press the play button with Premiere, all the dark areas will be visible.  Press stop and they will again black.

My computer is a box with Windows XP x 64 edition with Quadro FX 4800 graphics card.  My laptop which also has these same problems is also 64-bit but with Windows 7, with 2 cards Radeon HD 4850.  The computer on which I don't have these problems on is a x 32 windows XP edition.

I have problem solved this days now and no solution and nothing I do not see in these forums is linked.  Windows x 64 and Adobe has issues working together?

I want to thank me for all the help and support that I have proposed myself.

Congratulations on getting your problem sorted and thanks for reporting what he was.
