Motu 8 pre distorted his left channel

Hello

I bought a MacBook Pro 2014 2, 2 GHz i7, 16 G memory vivid and connected my Motu 8 pre via FireWire-> love at first sight. When you use it with Logic Pro 10.2.4 is immediately created questions about my left channel. The noise on the right channel is good, but the sound on the left channel is really distorted with a high cry inside.

Even if I play music via iTunes for example which is good and I start logic the left speaker (always play music from iTunes) is distorted with this small high inside.

I saw something posted by MillerU812 and tried all of the suggestions, without success.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Have you tried the reset.

Unplug the computer. Hold the Volume button in 5

seconds. You must first see the light flashing clock, then the first LED

for analog input 1 or 2, then you will see a "D". Turn the Volume knob to the right until the display shows "OK". Device is reset.

    All you can do is to check all the settings to see if something can be changed, but I don't think that there is something that you can about it.

    Hello. Normally, I would say that re - install the audio driver, but you have already done this, then contact support for repairs. If you prefer that fix, you have a 21 day period from the date of the invoice (if you got it from Dell). If you decide to return it, you can perform a system recovery. This is the real test to confirm the hardware failure.

  • Mono (left channel only) stereo

    Accidentally, I recorded a video on only the left channel.  It is to be exported by using two channels.  How to play on both channels.  In the Adobe tutorial, he said, "in the project Panel, select a single element.  Choose item > modify > Audio channels.  In the Edit Clip dialog box, select Mono in stereo mode, click OK.  In the dialog box change Clip I have it on Adobe Creative Pro Cloud CC 2014 shows:

    Audio channels

    Screening: What is set to?

    Number of Audio tracks: what?  My video is only recorded on the left channel

    Format of channels: Stereo; Mono; 5.1; Adaptive.   To accomplish what I need, should what setting I use?

    Preserve channel assignments: check or not?

    Active channels per track: what it is set to?

    If your clip on the timeline is stereo, with audio only on the left (or to the left is the one you want to listen to), go to the Audio effects and add "fill left", who will be the left channel, put also on two L + R (and silencing all sounds which stood on the right lane).

  • Do single mono channel stereo left channel?

    I have a stereo audio clip in which only the left channel has been used. I'd like this spread to the left and right - mono, right? I saw a number of Audio effects in my copy of PPro CS6, but I don't see how. Probably very easy and I'm not going to hit my forehead... ?

    Thanks in advance for any help on this.

    On the effects tab, open Audio effects and you should see the left or right fill effects fill. It takes the left (or right) channel and puts it on the two outputs Earth R, ignoring the right channel in the file.

  • Left channel audio

    I produce videos.  All the sound elements that I never used in Premiere Pro CS4 has always been to channels sound both L and R, and it still works.

    This colleague sent me a few audio files recently and when I imported in PP, the audio is only on the L channel.  I can't hear what comes out of my louspeaker system and when I did a test export of PP, the MP4 file was that the sound on the L channel.  So I imported a recent audio clip in the same project and my audio is fine - on L and R channels and you can hear it out of the enclosure and is on both channels.

    I told the colleague that his sound clips must have audio on both L and R channels.  But what I'm asking is here - what has he done differently when he recorded his sound to go to the only, while mine is going to both r and L?  Is there any technical data that I can pass him to explain this again?  The funny thing is when you look at his and mine, PP watch clip of them being almost identical data (see below).  I'm familiar with audio cards wired like Shure and others where you can pan the sound L or R.  Or maybe, when he recorded, he had put in L only.

  • How can I ad its channel left channel and vice versa right?

    I have captured images of a DVCAM tape and at first, that I can't seem to independently pan left and right channels. I have interviews that were recorded on a channel, but I mixed need on the left and right channels. I wish I had the other mixed channels on both channels too but very low volume that the pan only works for both at the same time. I have no problem with the realization of this simple obivous mixture with the same clips in final cut and VT5 but I want to stay with first. I hope that this simple obvious task is not a deal breaker after hearing so much about the first.

  • WMP distorts his dvd, yet other readers multimedia (WinDVD, PowerDVD) play very well?

    The sound is distorted when playing dvd on wmp 11. However, when you play the same dvd WinDVd or PowerDVD quality sound and picture are fine. I downloaded Windows XP Video Checkup Utility, and he indicated that none of my MPEG-2 decoders were compatible. Later, I downloaded the K-Lite Codec pack, but this has not resolved the problem and the auditor of Windows video shows that there is no compatible decoder? How can I solve this?

    Uninstall other applications of decoder. Sometimes they interfere with WMP.

    How can I change the settings so that it reads right to left?

    Hi Schmaltzkopf

    It is a correct way to do it.

    var doc, myRightHeader, ip, textVar;

    doc = app.documents.add();
    myRightHeader = doc.textFrames.add({geometricBounds:['12.7mm','100mm','30mm', '197.3mm']});
    ip = myRightHeader.insertionPoints;

    // set the paragraphDirection to right to left
    // see http://jongware.mit.edu/idcs6js/pc_Story.html
    // and search for the direction to see the different RTL options
    ip[0].paragraphDirection = ParagraphDirectionOptions.RIGHT_TO_LEFT_DIRECTION;

    // These need to be on 3 lines
    ip[0].contents = SpecialCharacters.autoPageNumber;
    ip[-1].contents = " ";
    textVar = ip[-1].textVariableInstances.add(LocationOptions.AFTER, ip[-1])
    textVar.associatedTextVariable = doc.textVariables.itemByName("Creation Date");

  • InterVideo WinDVR 3 on Qosmio G30-116 via port-> no audio video

    Hello

    I installed Intervideo WinDVR 3 on my Qosmio G30-116. I have connected a decoder for the Qosmio via the video Port for using the cable supplied Toshiba which provides a composite video cable audio two channels to affix the Qosmio. The video works fine but not the audio.

    Intervideo WinDVR 3 "Setup" see section when you select the "Device" tab on the video input is set to "Toshiba PCI DVB - T Tuner hybrid analogue" and hense video works. However, the only options under Audio input are the "SigmaTel Audio" and "Logitech microphone. I put it on "SigmaTel Audio" and under this setting, the only option for source is the 'CD drive '. These are therefore the setting but still no sound from my cable box.

    Any ideas?

    Any other proucts that someone knows of which allow you to use the video in Port of the Qosmio that work really (FYI I can't even make it work with Windows preinstalled Media Center.

    Hello

    Have you tried to use the Qosmio Player or MCE instead of the WinDVR 3?

    How to connect two devices?

    Insert the plug of the output cable to connect to the box set-top to the audio input jacks (Red: audio right, white: left audio) and video input (yellow) of the software component video cable plug-in connector.
    The video port allows you to import video data from analog video cameras or video recorders. To hear the sounds to use the video cable to connect the audio terminals of the device and your computer (Red: its channel right, white: his left channel)

    In the user manual, you will find the detailed how connect the set - top box for the Qosmio and what cables are required.

  • sound card output audio separate in the left and right channels?

    Hi all

    I work and change the Sound.vi "generate".

    It works very well, however, I want to control what going on the left audio channel vs right.

    Down the blockdiagram and the sub vi:s that I actually lost where the tone 'mono' rectuangular Rejoinder to stereoright and the left channel.

    Any ideas, inputs are welcome :-)

    Just use an instance of the output of his writing have a 1 d waveform data entry (i.e. type  Audio output (DBL) writing). Each element of the array corresponds to a channel. You change the type of click with the right button on the service and make a "select Type". Oviously, the generation of waveform in the example will be changed as well.

  • The two speakers play left audio channel only.

    OK, so I plugged speakers to my new computer configured with windows 7 and have had problems listening to a simple song. When I use the speakers (I tried several different sets) the two speakers appear to play only the audio in the left channel, and nothing don't play the channel right, which means missing out on a lot of songs or watch: (.) The speakers are plugged into the making of lime on the back of the computer, and this problem occurs with each pair of speakers I'm looking for. When I use my usb headset, the sound is perfect. When I go into the sound Manager, I can "set up" speakers, and when the small figure lights up to let you know that all law is supposed to be carillon, carillon of two speakers. Even with the left. When I go to the Realtek HD audio Manager and test it, each speaker lights up and plays on his own, just as it is supposed to. If I connect to my other computer via desktop remotely, the sound works perfectly, each speaker playing its own channel. It's just when I am playing a song on my desk that I have problems. Also the problem with good windows media player and vlc player. Any assistance in obtaining of drew it up would be appreciated. Thank you!

    Use a splitter to connect your speakers to the back of the tower.

  • DV7t-1285DX - 3 speakers, only 2 work (channel right, left on via the subwoofer)

    So, I recently bought a DV7t, and although I love the machine I'm having a problem with the speakers. Windows Vista Ultimate 64 is only detected two speakers of any drivers that I use (including the latest IDT). I get right channel sound through the right speaker, left channel sound through subwoofer and no sound at all through the left speaker. I tried different drivers and that you have, so far no joy.

    OK, so I've bitten the bullet and disassembled my laptop today. As I was putting it back together, I realized that one of the pins of the speaker jack (male receiver, on the motherboard) has carefully folded upward. I carefully folded it back into place, has put everything back together and now all the work of three channels! While this could be the problem in every case, it fixed the problem for me. If you try it yourself, be very careful when you try to bend the PIN in place, they break off easily and unexpectedly, and if you break you it turned for good. Good luck.

  • Windows Media Player 12 - left / right channel audio

    I have an mpeg file. He has left and right audio channel, speaking different languages. When I play the file, it defaults to the left channel, but I want to move to the right, but I can't seem to find the option.

    Anyone know how to change the audio channel?

    Hi QYT,.

    You can change the audio language, but not the audio playback channel. For more information on multichannel playback, see the link below.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/HOWTO/articles/multichannel.aspx

    To change the audio language, you can follow the steps below.

    Click Start, select all programs and click on open Windows Media Player.

    Press Alt on your keyboard and click on play, click on Audio and language tracksand by default.

    In the default language Setup window, choose the language you want to display and click OK.

    Hope this information helped!
