Animation technique

This style of animation is achievable in AE? Or is it safer to go the traditional route to achieve this kind of effect?

https://Mir-S3-CDN-cf.Behance.NET/project_modules/DISP/18a0c454485935.560947205de14.gif

Yes you can. I draw lines using the pen tool and strokes on a shape layer, animate using connect it traces and maybe add the Vegas effect to give a few bumps to your lines. Then add a wave to each line so that they wobble / wave and finally add the time Posterize (with a low fps, like 3-5), which will give the effect of movement to stop. Then add a texture on top of everything (possibly add wave and Posterization that too)... That should help you get started, you have to play and to experiment because I think on top of my head right now!

  • Operating instructions for the flying Cubes?

Hi, can someone give advice on how / where a tutorial is for the next idea?

I would like to create cubes 3D (possibly with a hand-drawn aesthetic) flying in a group. The idea is that the Group of cubes swoop and flies like a bird.

Is it possible in After Effects or is it more a cinema 4 d / 3Ds MAX project type?

    Thank you!

You can create cubes in AE using 6 squares 3D solid or shape layers, parent layers for a 3D no and then fly the autour null in a 3D space. You can also create cubes and add textures in C4D lite, do driving around the animation in the 3D application. If you want to add the swarming of behavior like a flock of birds using certain automatic behaviors and you are on a budget, then using a 3D opensource as Blender (http://www.blender.org) application will give you a bunch of tools. I think you want to make a single object of that kind of looks like a bird with a bunch of cubes, some for wings and maybe a few others for the body, and then to rig the cubes on 'bones' so that you can create wings will require complete application 3D as Blender or the version of complete C4D because C4D lite has a very limited tool set. All 3D approach will require some textures or tweaking or plug-ins to simulate hand-drawn effect.

If you want a look designed to hand and you have some rudiments of drawing and want to learn the technique of cell animation then you can hand draw cells in Illustrator or Photoshop or same æ and then doing 2D animation there. There are a few software solutions to make animations drawn by hand, including Flash Professional (which is provided with a subscription to the CC), but there is no open source apps I know dedicated to hand-drawn animation techniques. Commercial applications run from a few dollars to a few thousand. Good technique depends on your skills and your experience, the time available yo got work on the project and what you want the project looks like when it's done.

The best way to make a cube from 3D layers must compensate for the z value of the anchor of the same value as X and Y, then rotate the multiple faces of 90 ° 5. For example, suppose you want a cube that is 600 pixels high. Here is a step by step.

    1. Create a new publication using the settings of composition standard square pixels (HDTV 1080 29.97 for example) which is quite long to include the entire shot, you try to create
    2. Select the rectangle tool
    3. Select the fill and stroke to use
    4. While holding down the SHIFT key to draw a shape of rectangle anywhere in the model
    5. Press U twice to reveal all the modified properties of the rectangle
    6. You should see something like this:
    7. Set the size of the Rectangle traced 1 to 600, 600
    8. Reset the position to transform Rectangle 1 0.0 to center the rectangle in the composition Panel
    9. Click the Add button to the right of the shape 1 layer content and add paths to squirm and make some adjustments to give your cube glimpses caught something like this:

  • Press the a button to reveal the anchor point of the shape layer
  • Make the layer 3D shape
  • The anchor point must be 0,0,0 (Note: If you use a solid 600 X 600 300, 300, 0 is the anchor point)
  • 1-way Rectangle as 600, 600, that you'll want to set the z value for the anchor point to the half of the width of the rectangle then adjust the anchor of layer 0, 0, 300
  • Duplicate the layer of the form 5 times
  • Select all 5 layers and press the r key to reveal the orientation and rotation of each layer property
  • Let the shape 1 layer to the default rotation value
  • Rotation 90 ° 2 layer shape in there, 180º 3 shape layer in there, 270º 4 shape layer in there, shape layer 5 90º in x, and 270 ° 6 layer x shape so watch the layers like this:

  • Add a null value to the composition and make 3D null and name Cube 1
  • The value null is now at the center of the global space of composition and 6 layers as a group are arranged around the null value
  • Make sure that the Parent column turns in the time line (make it visible by right-clicking in the column name bar)
  • Press r or u close the layer properties, and then select all shape layers and set the parent to 1 Cube and then lock the shape layers, so your timeline looks like this:
  • Now, you can animate the position and rotation and adjust the scale of the null value to control your cube. Add a 3D camera and have fun.
    v
  • To set up a herd of these cubes or build a body unlock all layers and start duplicating. [The best way to do that is to select all six shape layers, press Ctrl/Cmnd + d then Ctrl/Cmnd +] to move duplicates to the top and repeat. When you have made all the copies that you want to lock the camera layer, press Ctrl/Cmnd + a to select all layers, hold down Ctrl/Cmnd key and select all the controllers of null and shy then all layers form like this:
  • Click the shy skin layers third icon from the left at the top) and you have only your cube controllers to animate. Now, you can size, scale parent animated and even these together to create your bird like this:
  • This should give you an idea of the creation of a bird in flight in AE. Personally, I would probably use Blender or the full version of C4D, then import the project into AE to the final composition. Mixer has some large shader effects drawn by hand and it is much more easy to rig and animate an element like a bird.

  • Create shapes that animate in sync with audio

I have no experience with After Effects.

I want to import an audio file of the music and create shapes and animate to the rhythm of the music.

For example, have a bass drum extensible and with it, a drum circle that moves in time with the kick.

If this is possible and if someone could explain to me how it works then After Effects will be what I have to do.

I have in my mind that I could create a shape and line up the way in time with the sound.

I hope someone can help me.

    Thank you.

Hi, I will not give you a full step by step, but I will give you a rough description of how to go about it as starting point. It will be better if you have some tutorials + read the docs help to familiarize themselves with sequels to figure out the rest. It will be a bit of a steep learning curve with no experience of After Effects. It is a way to animate automatically. The easiest way but a lot of time would be it then manually expire and animate by hand.

Import your audio file as uncompressed wav or aif. Drop it in your composition effects. Right click on your audio layer and select keyframe Assistant > Convert Audio to keyframes. This will create a new layer draw with sliders custom effects that contain the values of audio level as values of keyframes, you can see these if you ride the effects of the null layer panel.

You will then need to do a few simple phrases to get these values of alterations to link to everything that you want to move to the rhythm of the music. For example if you want to position Y a circle a link towards the values of keyframes, you hold down the alt key and click on the stopwatch of the animation for the position of the circle. This will open the expression editor for the position property of the circle. Then you will need to enter something like this:

    audio = thisComp.layer("Audio Amplitude").effect("Both Channels")("Slider");

    Circle = transform.position;

    [circle, circle [0] [1] +(audio*10)]

The (audio * 10) bit multiply audio editing values, in order to change this will increase or decrease the amount of your circle will move. There are a lot of expression helps out there, so read and you should be fine.

    Good luck!

PS If you opt for the hand of animation technique, a good way out of the animation is to render a RAM Preview and type the * key on your keypad digital keyboard (or ctrl + 8 If you have a small keyboard) to the beat of the music. This will create markers that you can use as a guide.

  • How to get Dead Eye effect

I wonder how I can make this style into effect using Adobe After Effects. The sepia looks easy enough, but how to get the light flash at the beginning and realize the X brands (enter in the vast and white can gain saturation and become smaller) as they do?

Reference video: Dead Eye | Red Dead Redemption | -YouTube

The color change and the size of the X can be recreated with a couple of keyframes, a pair for scale, a pair of color. Adding glow and adding keyframes for the property you want to animate would do that.

The layering of color, sepia, and flash are fair layers with blend modes. The flash can be created with a radial blur with the ADD of the merger mode and animated opacity, change of hue of a solid color with the game of mixing of color, or overlay mode. You might also achieve the hue with a layer of setting and lively of Hue and Saturation colorize value, and then animate the opacity of the adjustment layer of the.

If your camera is moving, you need to follow a few simple line upward the x. Each X would be on a separate layer and you could create an animation preset for the color scale and brightness of the change, and then set the CTI to the right frame and apply the preset animation.

It's all very basic composition and animation techniques. If you don't understand what I'm talking about then find the help files for each thing I mentioned by typing for example, mixture of mode in the search field in the upper right of the AE.

    I saw this post:

    http://forums.Adobe.com/message/1794156#1794156

I would like to know how to make a word or a series of letters, shake as if they feel cold (temperature wise).  I thought about using an animation technique fussing, but I am helpless as to where to start or how to apply the instructions in help for AE CS4 documents.  If there is someone who can guide me through this process I would be very happy.

    Sincerely,

    Markerline

If I understand correctly what you want, it can be much easier - no need to expressions.

As you probably know, After Effects has to a very powerful text animation engine, based on the idea of the animators and selectors. I suggest you take a look at the whole of the chapter on the text animation using After Effects.

A host of text is essentially a group of properties that you add in the calendar that includes two basic elements - a number of properties of the animation (position, scale, rotation, followed, color fill and many others) and one or more text selectors, which are those used to choose which elements of the text are affected by these properties Add. Animation is done by how certain elements of text going in or out of a State 'selected' State 'not selected', going through everything in between. The beauty of it all, is that it takes only a couple of keyframes for control of dozens of characters. And you can do it very quickly, once you master the basics, instead of fighting with a thousand layers as it used to be.

In this Ernestine cazel, according to me, you can get what you want by creating a host for position with a selector of fussing: whirlpool open the layer text and the "Animate" menu select "position". You will see this host has a range inside selector (this is the default selection). Delete it and from the menu 'Add' next to the host you created, choose selector > Wiggly (the earthquake selector is on the assignment of each character (or word or line if you wish) a random selection intensity that changes x times per second.) This intensity (amount) defines how strongly the position (or other real estate to host text) value affects this character/Word/line. So, if the selector given earthquake one amount of 30% for the second, it means that he will receive 30% of the value of position specified in the animation of text. And this amount changes all the time, from the wiggles per second confusing?

To mimic this 'cold' you feel probably want to adjust the selector fussing for something quick (earthquakes per second) over a short distance (weak position values). You can set the selector fussing to create random quantities by line, depending on what you need, by word or by a character-based.

Let us know if you need more information.

  • View seeks to create graphic animations in the videos, the FCPX is capable?

Hello useful community! A two-part question.

I'm just getting started on the video production and have some needs in mind. I hope you can let me know if FCPX can do that hopefully, if there is an obvious solution, I am missing, or some of you approach use.

I'll be doing a few videos of interview style and will have several camera angles, with that I need to work. So if I understand correctly to work with iMovie, I'll have a main video timeline and then 'cut' in and out secondary structures for the other angles. But I must have a logo sitting in the corner as well. Is there still enough chronologies to cut in different camera angles while having a timeline showing the stationary chart? iMovie does not you have only your primary and another calendar cut in and out, but I hope that FCPX has the ability to overlay 2 more than at a time? Or maybe I'm going about this the wrong way need?

The second part is linked, I want to be the logo/text animation because it is (as a brief introduction). Not throughout the entire video or something extremely complex, but to animate shapes and text sliding in such that the name of the speaker, the name of show graphics, etc... And I'm hoping to create my own custom animations, not the familiar "motions of text" located in iMovie. I feel like the examples I found online that all look like they have animations the same model and I hope for much more creative in this area occasionally, if that makes sense. In its most simple example I guess, the design and animation capabilities/techniques you can do in Keynote for graphics/text that can be market timed, fades, slides, etc.

Is FCPX the right program to incorporate more complex forms of text animations as well? Or is it the work of another software?

I hope that makes sense. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

    Mark

TYou can have an unlimited number of video layers.

Yes, you can make custom animations. For more complex animations, you use Motion.

  • Animation / sliding tab

I worked on my project based on the actionBar.js example. But then I noticed that the content tabs are loaded in the single HTML file which then switched by javascript (by setting css display).

My question is, how to make an animation tab as in Android effect? And maybe how to make animation with BBUI.js?

(I was looking for a way to do this, but I have found a JQuery solution on the web, and I don't see any animation on BBUI class.)

So is there a way to do this?

The animation only found in the BBUI documentation reference is only the page loading animation. Maybe I missed something.

OK, I managed to fix myself. Just in case, someone else, I was wondering how do.

I used HTML5 and CSS3 animation. (not JQuery, any other JS framework)

    The technique that I use:

    1. define the animation in a CSS class

    2. Add the animation class (from n ° 1) using javascript (for example onclick event)

Simple as that. I suppose that research both step on Google to get the exact code is not too difficult.

It worked flawlessly (and smooth too) in Wellington, but I don't know how he play on real device since I did not. Not sure on the emulator BB10... haven't tried either...

  • Animated object and Threading

    Hello

I want to animate certain objects on the stage and allow the user to interact with them. My current solutions uses the timer class to deal with because (that's what I heard) air / the playbook does not support multithreading (yet).

Now, I heard that the timer class is not very accurate, and really, I have determined that the animations aren't very smoove. Is there another way to solve my problem?

    concerning

    Levi

While the PlayBook itself certainly supports multithreading (there are 154 lapping my Simulator right now!), there is basically no thread support in ActionScript, or air.  Fortunately, most of the time you can get by fine without using various techniques.

Depending on the nature of your animation, you'll want to look in one or more of the following:

    1. The "ENTER_FRAME" event.  You will find many examples of this.  Flash programs have a 'frame rate' (essentially like a movie) and can respond to the events that are sent once per image.  The Flash docs treat these in various places (although sometimes they assume that you are not purely working with ActionScript).
    2. Using the class Tweener easily call periodic changes to one or more properties of an object any.  It is by far the easiest for many simple animations, such as dynamically move buttons.  It is readily available in the PlayBook with "import caurina.transitions.Tweener" so there is no good reason not to use it if it is appropriate for you.
    3. The class Timer you have found.  It is not "correct", but for what?  It is usually quite good, and the lack of accuracy (inaccuracy?) is no different from what any timer mechanism has in an environment no real time (and make no mistake, just running on top of the incredible QNX does little to make Flash applications that all "realtime" more than what they is on other systems).  You should get results very similar to a timer, as you would events chassis or other things.
    4. flash.utils.setTimeout or setInterval can do base calendar, although they would be considered a very low average level to do so.  I think they build right on top of timer, so there is no advantage to the use of these except an extreme simplicity.
  • PlayBook CSS3 animations

    Hi guys,.

After watching the WebWorks Podcasts lately, I remember something like "full HTML5 support.

I am now building a project with some fancy CSS3 effects, but they don't seem to work for me (in the emulator).

They do not occur only, but the emulator seems to hang for 0.5 s or more, whenever I start a new animation (- webkit - transform).

    Is it

    • is this problem related to the emulator / 3D acceleration

  • duration of the animation

    Hello.

I am a first year student of Graphic Design at the University and I am new to After Effect.  I'm working on a project where I need to set up some length and ratio for an animation. According to the brief, I arrived to set up the composition of a 4 second video at 25 fps and the size must be 768px by 576px (4.3 proportions) for this animation, I had to use my own picture photographed hundreds. Unfortunately, when I import my 100 photos apparently in good order all properly numbered, Ae import for a reason, in separate files 2 1 includes 97 of my photos and another 3 (oddly, only 3 that I added to the pile later) and it happens everytime I try. In fact, this isn't my major problem, but perhaps it has an effect on the pain I feel. The problem I have is: I have set the dimensions in the composition settings, as he asked. However, the video is only until 03:07 dry parts + extra really short-00:03 that the separate program, who lives a relatively large gap on my compare video from 4 seconds to the size of it. I tried to understand where is the gap came, and why my photos can only compensate a 03:10 s animation. I'm stuck, but because my problem is quite specific I couldn't find any tutorial answering my question.

Change the cadence of a composition does not change the pace of the film that put you in the computer. If you have a second clip, 30, who was shot at 60 fps in real time is 30 seconds. If you place this element in a model that is only 10 frames per second the clip will take 30 seconds to read that it will be as smooth because you won't see on a frame in 6.

Default frame for importing image sequences is defined in your preferences panel. It is 30 frames per second. 100 images @ 30 frames per second is 3 minutes and 9/30 of a second or 03:09 @ 30 fps.

If you put that image sequence in a model which is 25 fps and then the final visible image will be 03:07 and the end of the clip to 3:08(no_more_image) it's perfectly logical. If you look at the news to the right of the thumbnail for your image sequence when you select it in the project Panel, you will see that it is interpreted at 30 fps. You can change this by selecting the image and then right click or by clicking file > film > hand and change the images at 25 fps and your problem will be solved.

Now let's talk about the numbering of the frame. Sequences of images must be in their own separate folder. If you have 100 images, then the chassis numbers must have 3 digits and exactly the same name. myFootage_1.jpg for the first image in a sequence of 100 images is not going to work. The frames will be out of use. You must use myFootage_001.jpg for the first picture and other images should be the same until you get to 100. The most likely cause of your problems with the import are directly related to the file names.

I hope this helps. There are some fundamental things that apply to all film and video films. The search box in help in the upper right corner of the AE is your best friend when you come across something that is confusing. It will tell you some pretty decent community resources. The video is hard. You must understand the formats of compression, standards, rate frame, rendering, broadcast formats, formats of production and a bunch of other things like interlacing and pixel formats to work properly with the video. AE needs a foundation much more big in animation and composition techniques just to get some bases made reliable. Study and learn.

  • What are the after-effects of the techniques used to create "Weaving Seagram" Elena Manferdini?

I am currently working on a short clip and I'd like to get a similar effect as video "Weaving Seagram" Elena Manferdini. Weaving mies: Seagram_close up on Vimeo 01

I know a few basics and I'm guessing that the video use the scan of the crack or the effect of travel time in sequels. I would appreciate if someone can tell me what other techniques are used to create the effect of smooth transition that transform a photo into a dynamic animation.

    Thank you!

This kind of effect can be achieved by masking and radical scaling to 'y '.

Place the anchor point where you want the scaling to be centered, duplicate the layer, draw the mask by the anchor point (alignment assistance) and then are resized in there until you get the desired effect.

It seems that you could do the whole project by simply adding a group of layers and masks.

  • How to make the animated lips that move with the text?

    Hello

I would like to make the animated lips (as below) say some text. So I would like to move with the text that is said.

What would be the best way to do it in an Adobe program? Thanks in advance!

    lips photo.jpg

The best way to do it would be to learn now to use Adobe character animation. Simply design a work in layers so that the different sounds are on different layers.

There are also manual techniques that require a familiarity with the distortion and masking tools in AE and a knowledge of the time remapping effect. You can also use audio levels to trigger the movement. Using this technique you can divide the image in the upper lip, lower lip and then use expressions to drive to position distortion tools. The good technique depends on the look you are after. If you just want to use those lips she's going to be quite difficult to get a "oh" sound or a 'b' as in "oh Boy" which seems natural.

Are you new to AE? What you are wanting to do will require some basic skills in AE and probably Photoshop or Illustrator.
