Create shapes that animate in sync with audio

I have no experience with After Effects.

I want to import an audio file of the music and create shapes and animate to the rhythm of the music.

For example, have a bass drum extensible and with it, a drum circle that moves in time with the kick.

If this is possible and if someone could explain to me how it works then After Effects will be what I have to do.

I have in my mind that I could create a shape and line up the way in time with the sound.

I hope someone can help me.

Hi, I will not give you a full step by step, but I will give you a rough description of how to go about it as starting point. It will be better if you have some tutorials + read the docs help to familiarize themselves with sequels to figure out the rest. It will be a bit of a steep learning curve with no experience of After Effects. It is a way to animate automatically. The easiest way but a lot of time would be it then manually expire and animate by hand.

Import your audio file as uncompressed wav or aif. Drop it in your composition effects. Right click on your audio layer and select keyframe Assistant > Convert Audio to keyframes. This will create a new layer draw with sliders custom effects that contain the values of audio level as values of keyframes, you can see these if you ride the effects of the null layer panel.

You will then need to do a few simple phrases to get these values of alterations to link to everything that you want to move to the rhythm of the music. For example if you want to position Y a circle a link towards the values of keyframes, you hold down the alt key and click on the stopwatch of the animation for the position of the circle. This will open the expression editor for the position property of the circle. Then you will need to enter something like this:

audio = thisComp.layer("Audio Amplitude").effect("Both Channels")("Slider");

Circle = transform.position;

[circle, circle [0] [1] +(audio*10)]

The (audio * 10) bit multiply audio editing values, in order to change this will increase or decrease the amount of your circle will move. There are a lot of expression helps out there, so read and you should be fine.

PS If you opt for the hand of animation technique, a good way out of the animation is to render a RAM Preview and type the * key on your keypad digital keyboard (or ctrl + 8 If you have a small keyboard) to the beat of the music. This will create markers that you can use as a guide.

However, when I press Enter to stop plackback, the playhead stops, but the audio continues to play and will not stop until I have close Flash. What is the proper way to animate in sync with an audio file? Or should I do this another way?

    Click on frame 1, layer 2.  in the properties panel, assign the stream sync property.  Repeat the test.

  • ITunes, create playlists in doubles when syncing with iPod

    iTunes has started to create playlists duplicates when I sync with my iPod Touch 5th generation and does not sync songs to the iPod.

    What can I do on this issue. I tried to reset the iPod, but this does not seem to make a difference. I'm absolutely sick of remove duplicate playlists.

    The following steps should solve the problems around the synchronization, assuming that all the content you want in your library.

    (If it isn't see recover your iTunes from your iPod or an iOS device)

    1. Backup device.
    2. Restoration as a new device.
    3. Restore the backup that you made earlier.

    NB. A feature introduced with iOS 9 called thinning or slicing app app allows each device to download just the code and resources required by this device, resulting in smaller downloads and a better use of the storage on the device. Therefore the device is no longer the universal version of the application that can be installed on any device to transfer applications is no longer supported.   • Film Clips Actions get out of sync with Audio

    My film is about long five minutes with audio and a clip of moving off screen calendar containing the action script to control the other clips of film or play the directory root.   After all a minute or more, movie clips get out-of-synch with the audio, apparently its stalemate.

    My swf file is not that large, about 2.2 MB and my moving clips are not that complex, but to three levels deep.

    My version is Flash 8 Professional and my cell phone was on top of the range about 18 months ago.

    I'm missing something or expect too much Flash?

    If your sound is attached to a timeline, assign the property sync of your sound 'Stream', not 'event '.

    I created a very long lecture (350 + slides) with audio on each slide. However, about 1/4 of the way through the end of the project, the audio is way behind. Someone at - it no work around?

    You should seriously consider breaking up this huge project into smaller pieces of perhaps 100 slides each. The actual number varies and depends on several factors.

    Until you start working with smaller pieces, do not match audio is likely to be the least of your worries.

  • .3gp video is out of sync with audio, someone at - it a fix or a solution?

    Synchronization is only on some clips. When I play the clips in QT player, they are very good. First CS5 is what I am running. Is there something that I am missing? The frequency of images and audio are what QT reports.

    The best workflow can be first convert them the 3gp video, or extract the Audio from the multiplex file, then keep as a PCM/WAV 48 kHz 16-bit, for import in PrPro.

    To correct the OOS, this ARTICLE could offer some advice.

    PrPro may have problems with certain forms of multiplexed files, although it can import these types.

  • Canon AVCHD video choppy/out of sync with audio on PE8

    I imported several videos of our new Canon camcorder; they look great on Windows Media Player and Adobe Bridge.  But when I play them in PE8 video is hesitant and jerky, although the sound seems fine.   My daughter has made great videos with PE8 and other video sources as well as photos and she also has no idea why this problem occurs with my videos from Canon.  Also located on my 64-bit Windows 7 PC CS4 and Lightroom 2.  All I want is a simple way to edit my videos and add photos and then the CD, and I can't seem to access the first base on PE8.  Thanks for any idea.

    What is the Preset project chosen for the source of the layer of this new camera footage? It should be HD AVCHD and you also want to match the Audio settings with the Audio setting on the camera. A lot of AVCHD cameras can be set to record in Dolby Digital 5.1 SS, and if you have the other, you want also to be selected. Your project Preset should match your footage source 100%, or you will encounter problems.

    My guess is that you are still using the old project preset, and the new camera, it will take another. When this is done, you should have a red line above the Clips in the timeline, and the reading must be very smooth and synchronized.

    PS - AVCHD material takes a lot of CPU to deal with power. It takes at least a Quad-core processor, and a fast i7 is even better. What is your CPU speed and the Core count?

    It seems that in After Effects you cannot play - with audio - from anywhere in the timeline panel, only the beginning.

    But you CAN in Photoshop Extended. Doesn't seem fair.

    Incorrect answer. Check the Preview Panel and enable the option from the current time .   • New in After Effects 13.8.1 - with audio shape layers!

    We have received reports from several users on another problem, which we have not been able to reproduce: by clicking on the layer switches (solo, lock, motion blur, etc.) sometimes unnecessarily vortices open the properties of a layer.

    It turns out that this problem is related to what you just posted on the redundant audio properties. The problem of the twirling property only occurs on these same layers.

    The bug occurs when you work in a model that has been composed before and this model contains a layer with audio, when you add a new layer to this model (any type of layer except the cameras or lights), if this layer should not have audio it will win the audio properties in any case. When you click on a layer switch (for example, solo, lock, a blur of movement, etc.) these layers with redundant audio properties will be automatically twirl open their properties.

    This bug started After Effects 13.8.0. There are still in 13.8.1. I have described it in our bugs database and ask so that it can be fixed in our next release.

    The twirling of the property problem can't for layers that have real audio. for example, with audio images, or a solid with the effect of the tone. This does not happen for the layers without audio created before the bug conditions occur (computer pre composed containing a layer with audio).

    I found a few solutions workaround for this problem.

    The simplest solution is to add the effect of audio signal to the affected layers and then disable audio (the switch icon small speaker) for these layers. The problem only occurs on the layers that have no audio, so the addition and then cut audio takes layers on the bad state.

    There is another, more cumbersome workaround that effectively eliminates the redundant audio properties:

    1. In the model problem, select all the layers having audio.
    2. Remove (temporarily, it gets canceled at step 5) these layers.
    3. Select all the remaining layers (or at least those with the redundant audio properties).
    4. Activate a switch layer for all selected layers, such as Solo or lock. Redundant audio properties will disappear.
    5. Cancel twice: once to cancel the toggling the layer switch and a 2nd time to undo the deletion of step 2.

    Redundant audio properties won't return after the cancellation. Unfortunately, this only solves the problem for existing layers. Adding new layers will still get the attached redundant audio properties.

    In any case, my thanks to you once again, Yang, to post the steps to repro the problem. That's the key for me to discover the cause of the problem, much more annoying.

  • Audio out of sync with the video

    Hi I am new to animate... so far, I'm having a lot of fun with it. I ran into the first question that I have not been able to overcome.

    I recorded a voice over my my movie in another standard (Studio One) .wav file, the program and imported it into my library. Spent some time the vocal track and animation edition so everything aligns properly Animate. When I test the movie using the game control to animate everything syncs perfectly. When I test using ctrl + enter or publish the movie and play in my browser the audio and video is no longer online. The audio plays at the correct speed, but the video is about 10% faster, then it should be. Is equivalent to 5 seconds in a second animation 45. No idea what I am doing wrong?

    What rate and few sample depth was the WAV? Animate it is 44.1 KHz, 16-bit. If you use 48 kHz or 24-bit, you can run into trouble.

    If you use 44.1 KHz, 15 bits, you make a SWF file or is it HTML5 Canvas? With SWF, you can set the sound synchronization on the Stream, and the graphics and the sound will keep in sync. If it's HTML5 Canvas he uses the event sync, and if your animation is demanding, it will go out of sync.

    There are ways to use Javascript to stay in sync. Something like that in frame 1 of the animation:

  • How can I create a video clip with audio re-bound?

    Hey all,.

    I'm trying CS5 workflow for the first time since the original Premiere Pro...

    I have a lot of Canon EOS 5 d II sequences and audio recorded separately.  I'm bringing a timeline, their synchronization upward, throw the audio on the device and rebind the clip so now I have good video linked to the sound quality.

    Question:

    How can I now get this clip re-paired to the sandbox so I can use it for editing?

    In FCP I can just drag it to the sandbox... but if I do it here I'm getting the video originally on the audio device.

    Any advice would be appreciated... or any other advice on the general progress of it.  Thanks in advance.

    First is not a way to create multiple elements - at least not in the way you're used to. However, what you can do, is use a sequence in another, as if he were a clip; in the nomenclature of the first, it's a "nested sequence.

    Probably the best thing to do is select the video and audio clips on a particular score that you want to synchronize and drag them to the icon of a new item in the project Panel. This will create a sequence corresponding to properties of your video and name identical to your video clip. It will also drop the audio and video clips in itself; You can synchronize the audio to the video here. Repeat this process for as many shots you have or need.

    Then simply use these sequences as if they were clips and edit them in a new sequence. You can drag them from the project Panel in the sequence, or the monitor Source for side panel, or Cmd/command and double-click it to load it in the Source monitor. Whatever it is, it must accomplish about what you are after and are the best that can be done with the functions available in first right now.

    EDIT: Also, if you have already synced up your clips in a sequence and did not want to go back, just select the component elements in your synchronization sequence and either right/Cmd click and select nest (or go to the sequence > nest). This will create the nested sequence and drop it in your bin, but you will have to manually name to keep track of what it is, because it will default to something like "Nested Sequence.05." The rest of the process is the same, however.

    I created a playlist in Windows media.  I have connected my Sansa MP3 device via USB connection cable and sound the sync button to copy the playlist but nothing happens.  I checked my Sansa and it has not automatically copied to the other.  How can I go there when the sync button does not work?

    Ø you have the latest version of the software or the driver installed on your computer to the MP3 player?

    Try to copy the files of music from Windows Explorer. Most MP3 players will appear as a "disk" on your computer, and you can browse the files on them by simply opening.

    I suggest that you format your Portable device, and then try to sync with Media Player. To format the laptop drive:

    1. right click on the Portable media player.

    2. Select the option.

    3. choose quick format and click ok.

  • Why my audio keeps our sync with my video?

    In fact, my new machine windows 8 has all new hardware. .. It is a completely different machine, but it has the same problem.  Some consistencis I can verify is that I use the same brand of parts, mobo ASUS (using the audio Realtek HD integrated system, fiber optic cable), Intel cpu, Nvidia graphics card (using 1 DVI output and 1 HDMI output).  Software had not really changed either. .. Windows 8, VLC Player (windows media, divx player player and others I tried all have the same problem).

    I wonder if it's an audio codec problem?  I'm not 100% sure, but it seems more old media or downloaded this media issue out of sync much of new media such as movies and games.   I think I remember watching a Blu - Ray of 2014 of a movie rip and he remained in phase all the way through, but an old 1999 DVD rip will not synchronized within the first minutes. .. coincidence?

    I know, you use a HDMI interface and a NVIDIA card is part of your system.

    I think that my problem is associated with the NVIDIA - HDMI interface because when my audio is out of sync with the NVIDIA - HDMI and, instantly, opt for external audio external audio Realtek HD is in sync with the video, and when I switch back to the NVIDIA - HDMI, audio is out of sync (in the same video that I played during this whole experience).

    I have reported it as a "bug fix" problem of NVIDIA and am waiting to hear back on their part. If they get back to me with something useful I'll pass it to you.

    During this time, to isolate if the problem may not be with the NVIDIA - HDMI interface, I'm waiting for the mismatch condition recur. When that happens, I'm going to disconnect my 7 years HDTV Sharp and reconnect the HDMI output from my PC to a 1 year old Samsung HD TV to see if the problem persists.

    I want to tell you that in my internet travels about this problem, I met an instance where a guy had audio/video problems, but not specifically the same kind we are (audio works sometimes...) GETS out of sync and works again after a restart of Windows). In his case, he has no joy to add codecs and was subsequently advised to remove the codecs. I would say that if you try to codecs, approach with caution. However, if it works for you, I'd appreciate it really all the details you can give me so I can try.

    I'm having a problem with audio lag in my changes. I record a lot of video on my Iphone of 6 to 1080 p 60 fps in the mov file format. I do a lot of cuts as someone would when editing it video. When I export the audio after a time the sound is out of sync with talk to me. I have to then unbind the audio clip and place the line of audio track back to match kind of them. I edited 4 videos like that and it's frustrating now. I export the media in exactly the same format, but it turns into MP4 which is normal. Someone help me please as I am out of export see flushing of the question and repeat.

    The backup to iCloud for an iPad does not include items that are already in iCloud, your iCloud stream library and my photos are not included in the backup to iCloud.
