• Preview move PDF Annotation or duplication

  Hey everybody,

  Preview has recently begun to move my PDF files after that annotate them or copy them. It ruins my strengths and my ability to read the PDF file, as a part of the text will eventually be moved out of sight.

  I read some other discussion with this same problem, and some suggested reinstalling the OS, which I prefer not to do. The other option is to 'recreate' the PDF, to print PDF format or any other means. Here's my problem:

  When printing in format PDF, the table of contents for my PDF is lost, even when you export the PDF file in PDF format. Is it possible that I can recreate a PDF while retaining all the data he had with her before, such as the table of contents?

Make sure that you cover all personal information using the preview. The screen shot in a response using the camera icon or you can drag the screen shot in a response. Copy / paste does not work.

  I'm on a MacBook with very little screen space. I want to spend the annotation tools to the toolbar at the top. Is there a way to do this?

  I'm not a Mac guy, but is not the same as right-clicking on a PC, Cmd + click on Mac?

  I asked this question before and yet I'm still terrible problems with my graphics flies over the text document when I add more text.  I'm not able to find the archives with the answers that people have written to me.

  I need to write a series of laboratory reports and using a terrible time amount to try to put the images in place. I do not receive a flow of text running.  Even in sections that I created, some of the images floated back up to the top of the section and are sitting there tight.  I am not able to move.

  Here is an example of a problem: I inserted a scatterplot and written my text.  I click on the tab "move with the text."  The Text wrap tab chooses spontaneously "Inline with the text.  My plot is moved to the left column - but I don't want that here.  I need to add a small annotation.  I'm not able to merge the plot toward the Center where the function of "In line with text" does not allow this.

  Basically, I try and change all the figures and plots to "Move with the text", but they tend to change to 'Stay on the Page' when I look away.

  Now, I wonder if I shouldn't open a new document in layout? This way I can add all my numbers for the section of the results in place holders.  But what I can combine "Text Layout" sections "Page Layout"?

  I really want to go back to Microsoft Word.  I would like to become proficient with Pages - and of course to learn my lab equipment!

  Each object, with the exception of a table when it is inserted in a document of v5.6.2 Pages, has its object set to Move with text placement and its set to automatic text wrapping. To keep your images of richocheting around your document out of your control, or push a the other, visit the reorganize with the selected image tab and change skin to zero. Now you can place pictures anywhere in your body text.

  Unlike Word, Pages v5.6.2 doesn't have a convenient annotation tool, and we need to position and an oblong text box that contains the annotation group - under the image.

• How can I add annotations (notes, in particular) as a PDF in preview of El Capitan?

  I have a PDF file and I am trying to annotate, and I do not understand what to do. This is a test of the student, and I would like to add comments in the PDF file.

  All I want to do is click on the PDF to indicate a comment at this time, and then type the comment so I and the student can be seen in the sidebar, but it seems to me to miss something fundamental about how to make this work (wasn't that easy a couple of versions ago?).

I press Ctrl-command-N, and I get an error beep. OK - if I click on the icon marked "Note", and a yellow box appears in the middle of the page. That is not where I want to. I have the mouse over it and hold the mouse to drag and... it does not move. Instead I am suddenly draw a line in the PDF file. Now just the small fountain pen symbol, and I can't move this note. I have to scroll down, press control-command-N... and hear a beep. Press again and it will beep. Press again and a new note will reappear in the middle. Again, I am trying to drag the note - but everything seems to be able to do is to draw a line. In the toolbar of the Markup, I see he's now on the sketch / icon "Pen and wavy line", even if I select that. I click on 'Note' again, and presto, there is another note, on top of that I was unable to move. So now, I have seven or eight notes, all piled up above the other in two different places on the PDF, with no way to move them.

  For what it's worth: after closing and opening the PDF file, I am now able to move the note autour boxes, so it's an improvement. The mouse is no longer randomly to the "Sketch" icon for no apparent reason. I have no idea why it did not work before.

  So my main issue now: How can I get notes or text to appear when the mouse is? Now a new note or the text always appears in the center of the window, which is not where I want it. Is this a defect, I can not change? And is it possible to add these annotations using just the mouse, with the Services menu or something similar?   1. I recently upgraded from Yosemite to El Capitan (10.11.4). On my first try of annotation with El Capitan, I can double click and put in evidence or bar, but I can not insert text or shapes (rectangles, for example).
  • When I insert the text, I see a big 'text' in red, but, unlike the previous version, there is no way I can change the "text". In Yosemite, I would have just typing my keyboard, but now, with El Capitan, nothing happens. Otherwise, I could double-click on 'Text', but yet again, nothing happens.
  • When I insert a shape (rectangle), I am unable to move, keep the cursor in text mode.

  2. a second problem with preview, it's that when I open a PDF file, it is added to the previous PDF I'm viewing. When I click on print, the two files to print, which is a boring waste of paper!

  Are these general problems with preview in El Capitan? I must say that when I upgraded from the Mavericks in Yosemite, I was so disappointed with annotation overview that I have installed the version Mavericks (7) Preview next to the standard version (8). I have more the Preview7 app, which I deleted. But maybe, I need to clean the library also files?

  1. click in the text block that said: 'Text' first, and then type.

  2 make sure to close the PDF you were viewing before leaving overview or in system preferences > general: check "Close windows when you exit an application.

• Mouse annotation event

  I want to allow the user to right click on a caption of annotation and displays a menu that allows them to edit text and delete the annotation. Of course it is code somewhere that detects when my mouse is on the caption of annotation because it changes my cursor to indicate that I can move the text. I am able to do a similar thing to indicate when I right click on the text of the legend?

  When the mouse is on a legend of the annotation, the cursor turns into SizeAll. So, I captured an event of right clicking on the graph and show the menu if the cursor is SizeAll. Otherwise I ignore it. Thanks for your reply.

• Programmitcally adding annotations to a graph stored in a cluster

  Hello!

  I have a cluster that contains a chart of waveform. I would take this cluster and enter a Subvi and the Subvi add markers of this graph that is stored in the cluster. The reason for this is that I would like to move easily around this graph annotated in my code for the later generation of reports.

  I have a problem 'save' annotations to the curve that is stored in the cluster. I've tried that doesn't seem to work.

  

  Annotations are generated correctly, and when I look to the front of this sub - VI I see the chart with the appropriate annotations. But, when I wire this an indicator chart elsewhere in my program, the annotations are not displayed. References are not my strong suit, and it was my best attempt slapped together. Any ideas?

  Hi Paul,.

  You will definitely want to use a reference here so that the Subvi changes the ownership of the specific graph you want to know the main graphic of your VI. Currently, you use an implicit property (the AnntList with the orange bar) node, which only changes the graph in the Subvi. It is because an implicit property node modifies a control by its name, and this name is recognized only in this specific VI.

  To create a reference, you simply right-click on the chart in your main VI and go to create > reference. This reference will be what you pass to your Subvi.

  As a side note, you want to make sure that you overwrite not the previous annotations whenever you write to the AnntList property. I suggest to use an explicit property node in the Subvi then read you the current value of AnntList and then add / change the parts you want and then write in AnntList at the end.

• Text boxes and annotations are moving their own

  To complete a model of society with Acrobat DC, I add checkmarks, circles and text boxes.  I find that when I save and then return later, they are in the right place when I discovered, but when I go back to edit the page, they moved.  When they move, they are positioned properly with each other, but not to the original page.  If I move it to the correct position and save again, they are in the wrong place when I go back to see.  If I let them and only add my new annotations, and then when I come back to see, the 'old' are in the right place, and the news is in the wrong place.  Why did they move, and how can I fix this, please?

• I have a virtual machine that is resident on two data warehouses, and I need to move

  Okay, I'm trying to reconfigure the storage on a cluster of ESXi to software development, and I fell on a virtual machine that is resident on two data warehouses.  Somehow, the user has configured this thing to have most of the VM files on the data store 5 while all the vmdk but the residence on the data store 1 boot drive.  He probably did it because of the size of the old warehouses of data and the many VMs older than his colleagues left sitting.  Well, now I just reconfigure data warehouses so that there is more usable space, but I can't move this machine a virtual so that I can reconfigure the rest of storage.  (For reference, the old warehouses of data have been implemented in 4 sets of three disks in RAID 3 and a set of four disks in RAID 3 with two drives hot spare.)  For the record: not my idea.  I am reconfiguring them now to be a set of 15 drives in RAID 6, divided into two LUNS on both controllers, with a hot spare.)

  Well, now I need to figure out how to get this VM is spent at one of new data stores.  The data migration store feature does not work.  Any recommendations?

  You can move the VMDK individually with the advanced functionality of storage vMotion allows you to ask the data disk on your new storage space and then have the OS disk track.

• Problem with the annotations of drawing in Acrobat Pro XI

  Hello everyone and thanks for any help that comes out of this.

  I use Acrobat XI for several forms of work.  These are time sheets.  I created these forms of PDF, another that was given to me.  Part of the use of these forms is to add drawing annotations and modify the rates of increase later.  In this case, the rate of increase is simple lines.  In Acrobat 9, it was an easy task.  I could easily enter the increases I inserted and handle them somehow I chose.

  Now in Acrobat XI, once I insert a line, I basically can no longer touch without making a clumsy work-around.  Every once in a great while, I am lucky and am able to do my mouse while one pixel hidden magic and then I can grab the markup and do what I need.

  It just seems much, much more difficult to work with annotations of drawing in the new version.

  I'm doing something wrong?  Is there an option that I don't know?

  Ok. The tool that I'm talking about is under Tools - interactive objects-

  Select the object (a black slider).

  Try to use it to select and move your annotations (although perhaps of other tools)

  also works well, but it's easier with this one).

When I run the animation of a U3D file annotation, this part is moving with respect to the axis of origin and I guess its matrix must change. However, I get the same values as before. Y at - it won't read the actual position of a party in an animated 3D annotation?

  If a node is in motion, but the matrix .transform isn't changing, then it rolls by a mobile node - so there is no movement in the local coordinate system (i.e. what .transform stores). You will need to level up and inspect the node which is the engine that is the movement, whatever.
