Annoying noise in Windows 7

When running Windows 7, I get this intermittent noise (iof kind sound like a splat).  It will happen several times for a minute or two, and then it could be an hour before I hear it again.  I tried the selection procedure "No. Sounds" under "Start Navigation" without success.  Pretty frustrating!  Help, please.

Please also note that it is very like that noise could be caused by another application.  Probably, it is a program that is running in the notification area of the taskbar such as Skype or another Messenger or an e-mail notifier.  In addition, the application that generates the sound can run as a system service on a hidden desktop where you can't interact with it.

As the noise you describe does not seem to be all the sounds by default in the operating system, I ask what applications are running or installed on the system.

If it solves your problem, click on the link "Propose as answer" below and vote as useful by clicking on the green triangle for the lelft. Thank you!

whenever I have to listen to music or anything like that and my laptop speakers are on... I won't be able to listen to music instead of that there will be an annoying noise resembles: 'TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT' until I press the mute. But if I listen to music through headphones, I can hear perfectly but I also hear of my fingers typing on the keyboard and if there was someone I talk I'd listen to the echo and and if there was a TV on, the sound of the TV will be higher. I took it to a professional man to fix it and he did. But he continues to go on and on. Any help?

  • Get a clock annoying noise that I can't get rid of

I was very irritating click.  I tried several things, but can't get rid of it. I made sure windows updates are completed.  I tried to cut the system sounds.  I ran antivirus scans.  I run malware scans.  Nothing comes.  I checked all programs and processes running, and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. I can't watch videos or listen to anything without the irritating ticking noise.  The only thing that has worked is to cut the volume (but then I can't watch or listen to anything because there is no noise at all).

I am running Windows Vista Home Edition, Service Pack 1.

Any ideas?  That noise is driving me crazy!

    Thank you!

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes before the show?
2 have you installed any program clock on the computer?

It seems that some program is causing this problem. Try these steps and check the result.
Step 1: Restore the sound settings.
    1. visit the following Web site, click on "Run now" under diagnose and troubleshoot audio playback, follow the wizard to execute it successfully: http://support.microsoft.com/gp/no_sound
    2. check if the problem persists.

Step 2: Perform a clean boot in order to find a program that is causing the problem.
Read the following article and follow the steps of data: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135/en-us
    1. follow "step 1: perform a clean boot ' to disable all non-Microsoft services, restart the computer and check if the problem still persists.
2 If the problem does not persist in the boot, try "step 2: enable half the services" to "step 6: resolve the problem" to find what is causing the problem. When you have found the culprit, uninstall it.
    3. follow "step 7: reset the computer to start as usual.

Try the steps and post back with the results, so that we can help you further.

    Kind regards

  • noise problem Windows movie maker 2.6 when recording in dv - avi format

I installed the filmmaker windows 2.6 on windows 7 Home premium. Everything works fine. When I try to record the final film in DV - AVI format, I get 5-7 seconds of noise very high height introduced where ever there is a change of clip. IE if I have 10 different clips in my film, I get this noise at 10 different locations in my last recorded movie. These are the places where begins a new clip. There is no such noise present when I play the project in movie maker is not present in the original source file (which is an avi file).

Interestingly, when I save the movie in any format as DV - AVI, (IE high video quality, local playback or any wmv file) there is no such noise introduced in the final movie. I used the same clips to make the final movie in windows xp using movie maker 2.1 and there was no question also in the recorded final DV - AVI movie.

So the problem seems to be only on movie maker 2.6 on windows 7, when recording in DV - AVI format (all other formats of work correctly). Clips of same worked well on movie maker 2.1 on windows XP, when recording in DV - AVI format.

I suspect that the video filters (in tools-> options) could be the reason. I checked and all active video filters are those in C/windows/SYSWOW64 directory, so there is no non-microsoft video filter.

Pls help as windows live movie maker (installed on windows 7) all blocks left and right and is basically useless because it can't record any movie to the end. Director of Windows 2.1 was the best choice, but it cannot be installed on windows 7. I can download the video to show what kind of flicker noise is there at the beginning of each clip. It is a volume high, shrill noise as if two things are rubbing against each other.

  • Annoying pop up Windows Photo Gallery

I have not downloaded on my computer, but lately, Windows Photo Gallery every time I turn on my computer I get a pop up saying Windows try to configure library and then another one that says not found... program on cd-rom... find and install it. I have no idea why this is happening and I can not find that Photo Gallery included in my programs, so that I can remove it.  No idea how to stop this mess?

    Hi Elinyc,
Here's how: click Start, select Control Panel > Security > Windows Update >(left pane) change the settings, then under "major updates" choose either "install updates automatically (recommended) ' or 'never check updates (not recommended)' according to your preferences.
Under "Software Notifications" uncheck "show me detailed notifications when new Microsoft software is available.
This should stop all popups of windows update.
