  Trying to convert a Win7 machine to ESXi, vCenter 5.5 - work is never point I get an error in the submission.

  Tried both with converter 5.5.3 and 6.0 without result.

  There is no (known?) another connection to vCenter.

• "Database corrupt installation" - discovered after failures repeat the installation of automatic updates of Windows

  We're running out of WinXP SP3.  Apparently, we are unable to install/uninstall anything correctly.  I think it may have something to do with "a basic installation damaged."  I got this error when trying to manually install KB972581 (a security update for 2007 Microsoft Office System).  This could have been caused by running the Windows Installer cleanup utility, I didn't have problems with Office 2007.  We were informed at all by continuing to upgrade with another program issues.

  We daily use Outlook 2007.  Multiple users, so we can't delete it.

  Same thing with KB970895 (update of security for SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2) - another failure with the description of the error "Unable to install Windows Installer MSP file".

  Basically, the automatic updates of Windows always fail.  Comprehensive research of these forums, I found and ran the Microsoft FixIt! # 50202, without result.

  How can I fix anything that makes things installation fails?

  I had a similar problem - resolved two things actually. First make sure yu have the latest windows installer engine. Then download the package fails and run interactive mode. This will give you the 'real' error which causes the failure so that you can correct it.

  In my case it was a dependency on another file system that was resolved by running sfc/scannow - it's maybe not the question you... once again, run the full installation package and also to enablehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/223300 logging to track down issues...

• Installation of XP pro sp2 stalls to the file teamw.exe then ks.exe and many others.

  I'm trying to re - install XP pro SP2 after a virus attack.  I did a full format on my WD 160 GB hard drive.  Serial ATA Mothboard Biostar G31 - M7 TE with the most recent BIOS.  Generally, installation hangs when you attempt to load the file "teamw.exe" the file depending on whether he's looking for is ks.exe there are twenty others subsequently that it cannot find.  I tried another disc with SP2.  The same problem.  I joined my current version to SP3 with the same result.  Thought it might be a hard drive problem.  A ran the WD disk checker rescuer in the BACK.  No problems found.  I don't think that is the motherboard related.  Would be - this somehow a hard drive problem?  No other equipment still installed.  It drives me crazy.  Thanks for your suggestions!

  Whenever there is a problem with the Windows XP disc, we encounter this type of questions. We recommend trying the following steps and check the result.
  a. installation to launch Windows XP.
  b. when the file fails to copy, remove the disk from the CD drive and insert the other XP CD in the drive to see if the copy process continues successfully.
  c. If the installation continues, complete the installation.

• After a fan failure, Windows is unable to turn off the fan?

  My Dell laptop is more than a year and out of warranty, so I was pretty shocked when my brother took an air can to the exhaust port and overspun fan and caused his failure. I bought a fan of alternative qualified from Dell and installed with Arctic Silver costs. However, even with the new fan, he would never turn up. I was looking at the temperatures to pull it up and and eventually shut down the system without even a glance of the fan. I even pulled the fan back out and double checked to make sure that the fan would turn with the applied force (I am an EE, food is very fine-adjustable). He does.

  I can control the fan with a 3rd party, i8kfan program. Problem is, the driver is not signed digitally, so it occasionally fails or it shuts down randomly.

  So, how does this apply to Windows? Well, as Dell technical support doesn't help if you are no longer under warranty, they don't tell me this - here are the fan control strictly controlled windows, strictly the BIOS or a combination of both? I was wondering if the problem threw a flag in Windows or the BIOS can't disable or something. I see nothing on the fans in my BIOS (another failure on part Dells - shitty BIOS), so I hope there is something small, buried in the windows that might help.

  I have no problem using the 3rd party controls. In most cases, this works very well. But there are moments when, particularly under heavy load, the program gets a lower priority, and fan just stops. In addition, the signed drivers beyond boring thing. As a little advanced Windows user, I'd love it if it could be disabled permanently instead of having to switch off whenever I start.

  My college got hooked me with a copy of 7, but I was saving it for my office that I'm building. I think that if this is a Windows problem, I'll just reformat this thing at 7 until I get my desktop built, and if all goes well, that will fix problems with fan. Also, I think I still have the Vista disc to this thing also, that's an option. If reinstalling Windows can solve this problem, I will def do this. I don't want to waste time to reformat if it does not solve the problem.

• Catastrophic failure in Envy HP dv7 7300

  Although I received a response from HP on an old hard drive on an HP Envy dv7 failure of two months 7300, they once more are unwilling to provide what they call "Award Winning Service".  When HP contacted me about the matter, they said that they were ready to replace the hard drive but could provide home service I paid for.

  I talked to a man by the name of... .to HP this afternoon regarding the failure of this computer after only 2 months.  It is the 3rd computer HP replacement in less than 9 months, he demanded that I return the hard drive failing to HP with reception in the tech support person who must go out and replace the "C" drive   (He eventually found that I had indeed paid for in home service although he can't provide it within the time promised in my initial contract).

  When I told her I didn't have a problem with this as long as I have the opportunity to erase the hard drive of all my personal data, he asked my credit card number.  I told him many things.  1. I agree to replace hard drive but want the erased data.  2. I want the technician to make sure that the second hard drive has not failed as well because the system is now down the second failed drive, and 3.  If there is another failure of any component on this computer in the next few months, then I want insurance that HP will replace the laptop with a desktop computer with the same features better and that it is a touch screen.

  He was not willing to have me erase the hard drive being replaced.  Should no for an answer when it came to give him my card by phone number and he did not have the technology to check the second drive on this computer.  I ran a check of the system and found that both hard drives are a failure and that the keyboard is also marked as failed.  The test system was done using HP on the software.

  Personally, I think that with hard drives and the keyboard are marked as 'failure' that there is another catastrophic failure on this model of computer.  I'm sure that the next thing to fail will be the motherboard.  And why they do not check the food as well as all other components on this computer.

  If you read his email to me below response, you will see that he says that HP has «wins service award»   Really?  I do not trust this person like HP it shows very clearly that they do not ask for information of credit card by phone, nor should provide you if you don't really know who is calling you.  And where they get off asking for a credit card number when it is their problem not mine!

  I am still extremely upset by the way that this whole situation is handled.  I think that technology checking the second hard drive to a potential failure is what premium service is all about!  I enclose a copy of the e-mail sent to me today.

  Really, I need to provide documents about the fact that I have the right computer.  When I talked to the representative of another, it went up to say again, I had to return the 2nd replacement computer and that failures are my fault.  When I told him that he must inspect its records again about the return of the 2nd replacement computer, at last, he replied that he indeed find information, but would not apologize for calling me a liar!

  If it is that HP has to offer to their customers that pay hard-earned money for a product that is supposed to be good and make millions of dollars for the management of the business... so I won't be bound to that name more.

  Wouldn't be nice if I could go on your HP Forum and tell people that HP has done everything in their power to make things right for me as a customer of HP.  Isn't the type of your business deserves positive coverage?  HP used to have the best name in the computer industry and now you have failed miserably in my mind.

  I and ask once more, getting in this area get kicked up a notch to someone who is really ready to listen and do things right once and for all!  Is it so difficult for HP to understand that all I want is a reliable, work computer?

• My Airport express has had a solid orange light for a week. How can I fix this?

When I click on it it says "it was part of my network" and to "ensure that it is still in the range and plugged in an outlet."  I tried this - does not change. I unplugged the main base station and then plugged it in. It also did not work.

  Sorry, but you can't 'fix' it. A status LED light amber solid that would indicate a power or another failure of the base station. There is no serviceable parts by the user, that you can replace.

  If the product is less than 1 year, Apple will replace the unit for you... or... If you have AppleCare implemented on a registered product, the AirPort base station is covered up to 3 years from the date of purchase.

• I get the 403 errors EVERY time I try to download something.

  I was just looking for mods for Oblivion on tesnexus when I suddenly could not download anything more. I had been downloading things on a daily basis, but that changes nothing that drastically. I went to other sites and discovered that I could not download anything here either. I tried my cache and cookies without result, history of compensation. I tried to disable my antivirus plugins and once again, nothing. I tried to reset my computer, but it was another failure. I tried to use IE, and still I could not download the files. I worked hard for Oblivion mod, but all this effort seems to be for nothing, since the only option I have left is to format my hard drive and start over... I desperately need help so it does not come to that. Help, please!

  Personally, I just use the built in trouble-free download manager and a minus the module, I hope this helps.

  I did use for mass use downloaders or multiple connections downloaders, although only after experiencing several corrupt files, I chose and just use the built in Download Manager.

  Ideally, this seems more a question for the third-party programmers of DLA, although I haven't found others having this problem via google.

  I was working with Pages where there was a power outage at the community level. A moment later, power came. Restarted the computer, everything (files, photos, etc.) came on the screen except Pages. Where or what I'm doing here.

Ive changed all things need in Nvidia Panel so all my games and applications are using the graphics card from NVIDIA and I've also clocked it form 993 GPU in 1124, which is the highest before he goes to the overclocking I think.

  First I tried to play the way of exile and I was happy to see my FPS up to 250-300 fps, but then I kept getting spikes up to 10-20 fps that was not logical. I tried to find a solution online and people were saying that the game has race problem on Win10, but even when I ran it in compatibility with 7 or 8 it continued doing the same drop in FPS.

  So last night I tried to play FFXIV and kept the same past.

  My constant fps were 59-65, but then I would have up to 10-12 points. I asked my friends and they told me that my laptop probably evolves to the internal graphics card during the game on his own so the FPS will be declining.

  I am using photo Version 1.5 (370.42.0) on El Capitan version 10.11.4 (15E65). I has not adjusted the time on my camera then only on vacation, but I want all my photos (my Nikon and my iPhone) to display in the order of time together. I was able to set the time zone for all the pictures from my Nikon, but the sort of photos has not changed after that has been done. It is sorted by the timestamps original (or something). I saw a lot of posts on how to adjust the time and how to sort, but none who addresses this issue specifically. My only sorting option is 'Keep sorted by oldest first' and it is gray. Has anyone an idea or is this yet another failure of Apple to manage something simple and basic?

• The most recent version Senor El Capitan breaks my Bootcamp

  How can I say company Apple as their very recent version of El Capitan OSbreaks software on my Mac computer.  This is not a joke and I got quite positively concluded that one modules built within the operating system of THIS and run. as recommended.by El Capitan, which makes other software unnecessary and essentially broken.  This isn't a situation where resources of call-in-to-Apple can provide any help on the problem of operating system, nor any Apple store I knew.  I summer/called for the two places mentioned several times in the last 7 weeks, I understand now that I need to have some fundamental changes in the operating system to fix the problems that I have seen. Apple entrepreneurs in place have provided nothing of value to fix my Mac; problems, but their have been some which were empathetic, ready to help but they could, friendly, but still not able to recognize that the main problem in the operating system.  If all the people of Apple, I have worked with that has any ability to fix the OS, I would be in shock total and probably hospitalized.

  I created several detailed paragraphs that I will send with note, but decided to not send them for now, because I think that what I wanted to say would not read or thought by anyone in the normal business of the Apple support.

  My question is in the 1st sentence of the paragraph 1 of the present note.  My Mac fusion drive works now, but I banished all process of adding software, I plan to use, as I stop to reload the operating system even over and over. to see another failure.
