Any way to take a subelement and generate a new length of the subitem original file without recapturing?

When I CAPTURE a great length of footage (say 30 mins) and then import these images into my 5 CS Pro Pr project, I generally extracted a section of this sequence in the timeline using the Source monitor.  I'm going throughout the upward using several (subitems) parts of this film original edit.  Sometimes I'll make specific subliclips, sometimes I just use different instances in the chronology of different lengths.

I want to be able to easily make must then create a new original file for each clip edited so that each piece is not referencing the same full serving of originally captured images.  I'm trying to create smaller files that are referenced.

In other words, I guess you could say I'm looking for a way to "capture" in the opposite direction?  Rather than having to go back and resume just the part that is now published as a subitem, is there a way to easily proceed backwards?

It would be ideal if there was a command that has taken your subelement and simply created an original file that was now simply the length of your final edited clip or a piece of the time line.

I'm trying to reduce the size of the original file has to be referenced by Premiere Pro each time to speed up the editing process, but without having to go back and redo the capture process.

Each section of the export. (ie. export each subelement)
