AnyConnect forget URL

Hello, I have a question which intermittently the anyconnect (2.5.0217) client will 'forget' the URL and the user must retype.

for example, the connection to: tell VPN.company.com/ict and users can connect without a problem. Time to time, it is up to VPN.company.com

I can't find a pattern or a reason why it happens. Someone at - it help him?

Thank you.

Hello

I think that when you use the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client and enter an address and user name, the program writes first and XML-file parameter and use it in the future.

Mines in:

C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client\

The name of the file is Preferences. If you delete it and restart the AnyConnect customer information fields will be empty.

If now, you enter the data and connect to the VPN once, it will record the data in a new Preferences file on the folder above with the data you just entered.

EDIT:

For example, the preferences file contains the following lines:

Hi I am trying set Anyconnect VPN client based on Cisco documents below. There is a command like below. When I typed 'url-list', I can't enter.

    Hello

In the 7.x code all customizations without client was included in the running configuration.
However, referring to this document from cisco:- http://goo.gl/XRkrcO, you can see that this command has been deprecated in 8.X ASA codes.

The best way to configure the bookmarks will use the ASDM or create them on a server and then bring import them to ASA.

Why we can not create bookmarks CLI?

With the introduction of 8.x many more options have been added, allowing greater flexibility.  These new options would make the running configuration passes, so they were moved into separate xml files.  Indeed, it eliminated the ability to configure a list of bookmark via the CLI.

For more information on this discussion, please refer to this thread: -.

  • Disable the download Anyconnect client / turn off the url connection

    Hello

Is there a way to disable the Anyconnect client download when you navigate to the anyconnect url? Or just make the connection of the url is not accessible
While users can still connect with their client anyconnect installed in the corporate network.

    Thank you!

    Dave.

You can't disable the download directly. This had been discussed several times here at least one CSC who also confirmed a case of TAC. Link.

A hack is that if your image Anyconnect is an older, users will never invited to be updated.

Re URL, you can turn off the alias that fill the drop-down list on the web portal, but also long as your have the SSL VPN service active, external interface of the ASA will be used toward the top of the login page to less than the default connection profile.

What is your reason for wanting to turn off in the first place? Perhaps there is another method to achieve what you want.

  • Change URL AnyConnect

    All,

I need to change the URL that AnyConnect customer to connect with and I am looking for the best way to do it without forcing customers to manually change the URL on their existing facilities. This will also include passing a SSL self-signed certificate on the old address to a signed public SSL on the new address. I could use customer profiles for AnyConnect do even if I do not use profiles at all now? Means any person connecting with the old address are somehow automatically forwarded to the new address.

I think that you could use a profile and make your server list to see the FULL domain name and not the IP address.

Once customers were connected and their local profiles updated to include the COMPLETE domain name, check DNS pointing to the new address would send it to the place wished.

Here's where that is defined in the profile editor:

  • AnyConnect VPN setup problem

Hi all, I'm going to have bad configure anyconnect VPN on my router. I'm CCENT pre level and especially followed a tutorial, but feel I'm missing something simple here.

It's a fairly simple installation on a Cisco No. 2851 - faces of a single interface my LAN 192.168.1.0/24, the other has a public IP address.

I created a network 192.168.2.0/24 VPN users, mainly to have phones Android connection of their mobile phone networks, and have access to the servers/security cameras/etc by using their local IP addresses. When my phone connects, it gets an IP address and is connected, but is not communicating with my LAN correctly.

The VPN client can ping 192.168.1.254 (the router's LAN IP) - but not the other devices on the network. However, the devices on my LAN can ping the VPN clients to their address 192.168.2.x.

Here's a copy of my current config, I have reorganized some elements with #s. Also pasted my ip sh road under him. Do not forget that I am a novice, please forgive the hack :)

We have a situation where two remote users of SSL VPNS cannot establish a voice call via softphones or cookie lync. They can both talk but I can't hear the other. Each user can call external or the office LAN without problems.

I confess that I have not read your config in detail, but a few tips:

-If you do split tunnel, don't forget to push a route for the entire pool VPN subnet or subnets of VPN clients

-Make sure you have the same-security-traffic permitted intra-interface

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/TD/docs/security/ASA/asa81/command/ref/refg...

-If you use NAT, you must exclude such NAT inter-VPN-device traffic

-If you have ACLs (not shown) do not forget to leave your pool VPN subnet is talking to himself.  Generally, it would be in the ACL entering the external interface.

at the end of the packet - trace is your friend.

    Hello

You could start by adding the following configurations

    permit same-security-traffic intra-interface

This will allow traffic to the VPN users access the interface ' outside ' of the SAA and to leave to the Internet using the same interface ' outside '. Without the above command, it is not possible.

Also, you need to add a NAT configuration for VPN Client users can use the Internet connection of the ASA

To do this, you can add this command

    NAT (outside) 1 172.16.0.0 255.255.0.0

This will allow the PAT for the Pool of VPN dynamics.

    Hope this helps

When I click on the + to open a new window I don't like the images that arise. I tried several times to change that through words: config; Browser.newtab.URL. I put in the site I want and it won't change. I tried to put in: blank and it don't work. I'm obviously something wrong - can you help please?

    Thank you

If Firefox is ignorant preference browser.newtab.url, the usual culprit is an extension.

You can open the page in Firefox Add-ons using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
    • in the Windows "Run" dialog box, type or paste
      firefox.exe "about:addons"

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions. Do not forget that all extensions are optional, none come with Firefox, and you can learn more about them by checking their reviews on the site of the Add - ons.

Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

    Any improvement?

  • URL does not commit to the correct location.

A long URL used heading to another site. This happens if I use a bookmark or type in the information. If I use safari, the link works.

    Suggestions?

You can delete all data stored in Firefox with a specific area through "Forget this Site" in the context menu of a history entry ("" history > view history "or" view > sidebar > History "") or via the subject: permissions page.

Using "Forget this Site" will delete all data stored in Firefox in this area as bookmarks, cookies, words of past, cache, history, and exceptions, so be careful and if you have a password or other data from that domain you don't want to lose then check that back up these data or make a comment.

You can't recover from this "forget" unless you have a backup of the files involved.

It has no lasting effect, so if come back you on such a 'forgotten' site, then the data of this Web site will be saved once more.

  • Cannot delete a site from the semi-automatic entered url which is no more in history.

-Very well, the first thing's first: there is a specific url that is no longer in my story, it's my fiance went to in order to watch his anime site. I cleared my history, downloads, caches, cookies, etc etc. The whole shebang, even made him "forget this site" for the url. I even deleted files out of my C:\ drive to try to remove this entry url AutoComplete highly undesirable. (I type in 'wat' und it pop for AutoComplete, when I still 5 favorite sites with "wat" in them which, for some reason, does not appear in place.) I started in safe mode, und all that other jazz.

No, I won't change my location for nothing toolbar settings. I like much tapped into two or three letters for a site of AutoComplete suggests pop-up. It is convenient for me, something und I use a million times a day. Well, then perhaps at least a hundred.

I tried the 'delete' around when it is highlighted, the ' shift + delete ', remove "places.sqlite" files from my computer, und almost all that I can shy to reset firefox... I just reset firefox because of the slowness in perhaps two weeks. I would like to seriously Firefox makes hell of a lot easier to go back to versions that do not eat my resources. This 34 version crap is annoyingly hungry.

However, back to the point I can't remove 'http://watchanimedubbed.tv/' from AutoComplete. After clearing all cookies, history, downloads, connections, etc... everything that appears on the list of fools when you want to clear your history when you browse und "Clear recent history" with "time range to clear" what the value... I don't know how to get rid of him. Und firefox rearmament is a last resort because.

I know very well that this is not some addons that I, well... maybe. Would be the only one, it could be the avast, but I do not see how it would affect und does not have this with any other site (or at least I thought). I've read several questions about Mozilla support but also other sites about people with similar problems, but most of them one of the fixes above worked for them. Still, a few of us remain perplexed as to why these semi-automatic entered URL is not unscrewing.

    In addition, FF on Windows.

It was never just a bookmark, as... never. However, I have successfully solve the problem with your help. Don't not what whether to bookmarks, however.

You mentioned the FIrefox profile folder, I had to dig in roaming to join. I had searched my computer without going into homelessness for delete the places.sqlite, I deleted 3 of them. Was still have the question und looked only in C: / that is what a possible solution given that I deleted the files as suggested, no. where he mentioned to research in roaming under Firefox profile folder; only in C: /.

However, I found three other places.sqlite files in the profile folder. I deleted these und now I do not feel the question.

So, thanks for mentioning the case profiles.

  • I am no longer able to afford and don't forget fast. I have to manually, click the red icon in the upper left to access. How to restore the automatic prompt?

Yesterday, I visited a site to which I often, pingtest.net. Normally, when I visit this site, a thin horizontal bar appears at the top of the browser look at a framework. I don't remember what he said, but it spans the entire length of the frame, from left to right. On the right edge of the bar is a x, if I want to close. In addition, when this horizontal bar appears, I also have a box that is approximately six to seven times the height of the thin horizontal bar that appears on the left edge of the horizontal bar thin. This area extends across the width of about one-sixth or fifth of the width of the horizontal bar. It contains something like the following: show all, allow, authorize, and don't forget. I normally click on display all option, and I normally select Enable for all options now.

Here's what happened yesterday: I went to pingtest.net, the horizontal bar appeared and everything seemed normal. However, I have not taken any action. Instead, I changed my mind and decided to go to a different URL. My slider was in the middle of the screen. I moved the slider up until I was intending to be the URL field, in order to enter a new URL. Unfortunately, I did not move the slider enough. So, instead of clicking in the URL field, I clicked right in the middle of the horizontal bar. I HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT I CLICKED, BUT FROM THAT MOMENT TO WHAT THE HORIZONTAL BAR HAS NEVER REAPPEARED. WHAT I CLICKED, IT SEEMS THAT I LOADED FIREFOX TO NEVER PROVIDE ME THIS HORIZONTAL BAR AGAIN!

As a result, I am also is more to get the box gray with the allow all display, allow and don't forget options.

How can I find a normal behavior and get the normal horizontal bar and the normal box with the options to show all, allow, authorize, and don't forget?

I do not know if you clear the "Site preferences" for the last time (s) would have effect if you would not do that immediately.

  • "Forget this Site" madly CPU Intensive, takes Forever/crashes browser - even for all the destruction of history

I'm more than 6 months of the browser history, and browse a lot on twitter. I want to "Forget About" Twitter. Whenever I try to do, Firefox everything crashes and becomes impossible to use. It's the same thing if I try to delete, say, just 6 months ago.

Deletion of the history of my browser should NOT be a process of jumping of browser. My rig is a Phenom IIx4 build, and I'm running out of an SSD. Maybe you guys have tied up all the browser history in some complicated cache for the URL bar, I don't know. But this is pathetic. If I remove 10GBs of crap from my HD for a few seconds, I should be able to delete the history of my browser.

"Firefox 29, with the GUI redesign. He had exactly the same problem. »

Looking at the list of bug fixes for 29.0.1, I don't see anything that could be related to your question. I don't remember what is a problem with previous versions as well.
Right now, I am betting that the problem is local to your profile.

Try to remove your history file.

    1. Go to help > troubleshooting information, and then click Open containing folder. Which will open Windows Explorer in your Firefox profile.
    2. Closing Firefox.
    3. In your profile folder, delete the places.sqlite file (or rename). The next time you open Firefox, a new places.sqlite will be created automatically.
    4. This file contains your history and bookmarks, so you'll need to restore your bookmarks. For instructions, visit https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/restore-bookmarks-from-backup-or-move-them#w_restoring-from-backups
  • Why two of my favorites lost their url info and are are more clickable / delete?

I have hundreds of bookmarks, and two of them lost all their news all of a sudden. I click on one, he's not going anywhere. I right click on it, I get a menu has these listed: open, open in a new tab, open all in tabs, open all tabs (Yes it repeats), open in a new window, cut, copy, paste, new bookmark separator again, delete, forget this site, delete the bookmark. This menu is different from the menu for links to work.

In addition, when I'm going to fly over the glitch links, they do not have a url indicating. I click for their properties, there is absolutely no information on these links except their name. No URL or anything like that. I can't even delete or move them to another folder. What is the cause? Thank you for your time.

EDIT: just in case someone else has this problem, I fixed it, although I still don't know why it happened. I exported my favorites as a .json file. Just in case, I exported in HTML too. Then I applied the same json file to my favorites. This has deleted everything I had in my favorites and replaced by the bookmark that was simply deleted, a bit like a refreshment. However, all subfolders have disappeared. Fortunately, I got the html version of my favorites, that I then added to my favorites. I took the subfolders that have not been replaced by the json file and a place where they belonged and then deleted the duplicate folders. These ghosts are now found. Everything works fine.

    You did very well.

Just a note, sometimes better to export using the html option.

  • I would really like to SEE my characters ('Lightweight themes"), and now you've done the fields URL and search unable to be moved. How can I fix it?

More seriously, this update does nothing but irritate me. I used to be able to shorten the length of the search box and URL by placing them on the same line and added a bunch of "empty space" at the end of their. This allowed me to actually see my character.

Now, with the update, I can't do that. I need to see all of the URL and the search box really didn't need to be almost across the width of my screen.

It would be nice if they were adjustable in the section options, and with all these iterations of Firefox, it's really very sad that you forget that people like to customize their browser. Otherwise, why have same Personas?

I solved the problem with an add-on:
    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/?src=HP-DL-upandcoming

This puts some of the old options button in the Customize menu, such as 'empty space', which is useful for organizing and doing things to the left.

  • How can I prevent the redirect Firefox to my ISP site when I get my own website URL?

On the new computer with Windows 8 Firefox works fine for all URLs except when I walk into one of my own sites - "www.komokaweather.com" which is redirectsed on my ISP site 'http://www.rogers.com/web/Rogers.portal'. It's ok when I get home in the 'www.komokaweather.com/index' 'www.komokaweather.ca' as well as all other addresses, but not as just "www.komokaweather.com". I tried to make 'www.komokaweather.com' like Home Page but that does not work either.

I've also upgraded to v.19.0.2 but no change.

You can delete all stored data with a specific area through "Forget this Site" from the context menu of the history entry (see the history or the history sidebar) or via the subject: permissions page.

With the help of "Forget this Site" will delete everything as bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions in this area, so be careful and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose so take note of these passwords and bookmarks.
You can't recover from which "forget" unless you have a backup of the affected files.

It has no lasting effect, so if come back you on such a 'forgotten' site, then the data of this Web site will be saved once more.

You can have an ISP that automatically redirects you to a search page if a DNS search fails.

Who takes control of Firefox to search with the normal keyword like a Google, I'm lucky search.

In this case, you will need to contact your ISP and ask for a DNS to opt-out of this feature.

You can also check if there is a link on the search results page to go to your ISP and opt-out.
