  Hi all
  
  Currently we have APEX 3.0.1.00.08 on Oracle Database 10 g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - 64bi Linux. Is it possible to upgrade to 3.1.2 on the same database?
  Is the problem if I upgraded to 3.1.2? My current version of applications work very well without any problems? Please help me.

  The document should be sufficient. Just make sure that you have all the software of pre - req. and packages installed before you start the installation.

  Just try to find a more recent version of firefox, thunderbird and seamonkey for my

  I guess you mean not Mozilla Thunderbird. Mozilla Application Suite is a much older than Firefox 3.6.28 discontinuous product (the latest version is dated April 21, 2006).

  There is a DC environment, hosted on IBM Blade servers, they have different OS, the OS is IBM AIX Power 6 which hosts an Oracle database.

  We provide a DC recovery site using Cisco UCS servers, prior to that, I want to be certain of the points below:

  In support for the OS, you don't see any support for AIX!

  Power 6 is the IBM hardware archtitecture chip; UCS is based on the Intel chip at 100%.

  It is unfortunate that Adobe has chosen to use the "update" in the notice inside LR 5. It is not an "update". It is an 'upgrade '. Thus, you pay if you want. Also as usual, Adobe directs clients to the CC solution and makes it hard to find perpetual license option.

  You have a limit on the size of the file on your system as 2Go on older unix systems.

  We are researching the application of Oracle RAC 11 g on the solution IBM LPARS running IBM AIX 5.3 TL06
  These LPAR uses a VIO-server access I/o.
  Now a paper said THAT Violence is not supported for Oracle RAC, the other document's and jet of another State, it is only supported for use with the DSO
  
  Can someone point me to a site with real support information or can someone tell me if the RAC is currently working on an LPAR with a VIO Server

  We have a single server (Solaris) with a single ORACLE_HOME supporting multiple databases (all the 11.2.0.3 with APEX 3.0.2 installed).  A new database was created here just to make the development of the APEX.  It must be upgraded to APEX 4.2.6.  None of the old databases use APEX.  Upgrading replaces $ORACLE_HOME/apex.  What is the upgrade on the pre-existing database?  They will also release APEX upgraded?  Thank you.

  If I understand your question, you want to upgrade APEX in the instance of a database. Fix?

  The upgrade of APEX can be done in a database without affecting other databases. Simply run the apexins.sql script in the database when you use APEX.

  Regarding the images in your $ORACLE_HOME/apex, it depends on the configuration of your Web server. You can configure your webserver (ADR, OHS, EPG) to get the images in the same directory or in another.

  I downloaded Oracle 11 g XE and installed on my laptop,

  Win 7 Enterprise

  Everything works perfectly, DB admin page comes, APEX rises (4.0.2.x).

  I download the Apex_4.2.3_en.zip.

  I have extracted the zip file and then follow the instructions

  GUI XE DB management tools are not standard components of the APEX, but special applications developed in the APEX that are included in the default XE installation. As they are not part of the standard installation of autonomous APEX they are lost when you upgrade using this.

  By opting for APEX 4.2 you deleted the XE database management GUI. Only admin GUI tools provided by APEX are for the case of APEX management and workspaces.

  Backup and recovery and other basic DBA tasks must be done using external tools such as SQL * more and SQL Developer.

  Use the forum Oracle Database Express Edition (XE) for questions of XE database and this one for issues related to the development of applications at the APEX.

• El Capitan 10.11.4(5 & 6) upgrade question

  I have an iMac 2010 (3.2 Ghz Intel Core i3, 4 GB 1333 Mhz DDR3, 1 TB HDD - 485 GB free) that runs quite happily El Capitan 10.11.3

  Unfortunately, trying to upgrade to 10.11.4 gave me the white screen of death white.  No hassle, time machine backup, don't try again, no question of devices attached, even.

  Waited for the release of 10.11.5 and 10.11.6 and have the same problem again.  Equipment of diagnosis showed no problems and has even downgrading to 10.11.3 and 10.11.2 and update go here has not solved the problem.

  Has anyone struck this problem and solved?

  I would like to replace my laptop HARD drive, is there any combatibilty issues I should be aware of, or is it just a case of getting a HARD drive 2.5 "?

  Is it easy to buy an external and use the internal drive inside the case?

  Generally upgrade the HARD drive is not complicated, and that's why you only have to remove the cover of the HARD drive on the lower side of your laptop to replace the HARD drive.

  Satellite Pro A100 already use hard disks with SATA interface so you have such a HARD drive. In addition, I would recommend a 5400 RPM model because it s quite fast and doesn t a lot of power.

  So that s what you need to know about upgrading. Theoretically, you can use the old or an external HDD with an external HARD drive enclosure. Also no problem. :)

• Tecra M7 memory upgrade question

  Hello everyone, I would like to upgrade the RAM on my Tecra M7, which came with 1 GB and is supposed to get a free site available. Since the system's maximum memory is 4 GB, I guess you can use up to 2GB stick into each slot.

  My question is: can I have a 1 + 2 GB configuration (with / 3GB in total) or modules should be combined for better performance (1 + 1 GB) DDR2? I read somewhere something memory dual channel working only with identical memory modules, but I'm not an expert so I don't know?

  Of course, you can mix the sizes of memory. It s nothing unusual!
  You can use different memory module sizes, but you should be 100% sure that both modules supports the same specifications as DDR2 533 MHz (PC2-4200)
