• Lov POPUP Oracle does not appear in Internet Explorer (since APEX 5 upgrade)

  The Lov POPUP does not work in Internet Explorer since the upgrade to 5 APEX.

  I noticed inspecting the modal window that has the css for HTML, the hidden visibility value.

  

  I can manually turn off what it works as expected. I tried to put CSS in the page 0 to force the visibility, but it doesn't seem to work because I think the modal charges in a separate instance, away from the clutches of page 0 .

  Any help would be appreciated.

• Question of logo as a result of the APEX 5 upgrade

  We have improved at APEX 4.2.6 5.02 now and things are almost without problems. There is hope, it is a small problem which is that the Oracle logo is not displayed when you are connected in the development environment.  It's that found at the top left of the pages in development mode (page 1000 for example).

  This region has a class of has head-apexLogo and it has a background image to specified... / IMG/apex - logo.svg, who is present and can be established without going through ADR fine, but there is a svg file - don't know if this is relevant.

  WebLogic 10.3.6

  Hi Phil,

  We had the same problem, even if I remember correctly, the logo does not only when the URL is passed through our reverse proxy to Apache, he appeared fine when we entered the WLS URL directly. In any case, we managed to fix it by creating the mimemappings.properties file in the config folder for the WebLogic domain, with the following line (or just add it if the file already exists):

  SVG = image/svg + xml

  You probably need to restart WLS after you create the file, if it does not already exist.

  OK, it is well known that when you upgrade an application (replace with a new version) you must first log out of the application.

  If you do not do this, the application in your current session will become very unstable.

  I do not have the rights DBA. I'm a developer of simple applications

  I have a go of the business to upgrade a certain application in production with a new version that is firmly put to the test.

  What I want, is that a simple procedure to disconnect all currently connected users so I can move the application without having to worry about volatile sessions.

  IMHO, this should be possible in the worksheet sql out of my work space where only application developers have access to.

  Is there a way to do it or what I really have to ask the DBA is to kill all sessions manually? Believe me, they don't like it

  Jari works if you deploy the application by using different application ID but the same alias applicationand don't give the URL containing the alias for users. The application in the dormant session is not available when the user then attempts to access it, and they start a new session using the alias of the app, which will now point to the version of the application with the new code.

• Help on vSphere 6 upgrade with a SSO strategy internal-> external PSC

  I would ask an idea and help on what and how to revamp our vsphere infrastructure.

  We have an environment that grow very fast in the last 2 years... from a Center unique vcenter/infrastructure for our server environment us growth data center 2 main + 1 small site with a 2nd arriving within a few months, and probably a good number of branches.

  Our main data center 2 are configured with vCenter 3 5.5:

  (1) our main Server vCenter

  (2) our Horizon vCenter for VDI

  (3) a vCenter dedicated to a separate set of servers for a specific project

  All the vCenter are now 5.5u2, but in the past our VDI vSphere still was 5.0, while the rest was upgaded to 5.1 and 5.5.

  The 3) is an environment dedicated with some software/configuration that could conflict or be managed in a way different from our current infrastructure (this ban could remain in an earlier more time for example).

  All these vCenter are configured with a SSO Multisite separated by the environment, so we have a Multisite SSO for server, 1 for VDI and 1 to 3).

  Our vCenter have the PSO and all integrated services in the windows server and a database of separate SQL Server for each of them.

  Verification of certain documents on the vSphere 6 that I noticed that it seems that we have a setup that has somehow changed and thinking about the future and the implementation of new products, I would like to understand how we could manage these infrastructure and how we can join it.

  I am on Windows 7 (Win-7) for several years and I'm quite happy for Win - 7.

  Microsoft has improved my Win 7 to Win - 10 at night. I refused the upgrade and Microsoft restored Win 7 on my computer. Win - 7 works very well except the backup.

• APEX 4.2.6 Upgrade with unique ORACLE_HOME supporting multiple databases

  We have a single server (Solaris) with a single ORACLE_HOME supporting multiple databases (all the 11.2.0.3 with APEX 3.0.2 installed).  A new database was created here just to make the development of the APEX.  It must be upgraded to APEX 4.2.6.  None of the old databases use APEX.  Upgrading replaces $ORACLE_HOME/apex.  What is the upgrade on the pre-existing database?  They will also release APEX upgraded?  Thank you.

  If I understand your question, you want to upgrade APEX in the instance of a database. Fix?

  The upgrade of APEX can be done in a database without affecting other databases. Simply run the apexins.sql script in the database when you use APEX.

  Regarding the images in your $ORACLE_HOME/apex, it depends on the configuration of your Web server. You can configure your webserver (ADR, OHS, EPG) to get the images in the same directory or in another.

  Hello

  There is no need to upgrade the Apex. When you upgrade to 11G XE, your Apex is upgraded to version 4.
  After database upgrade, you can improve the Apex to the 4.1 version, if you wish.

  These tabular forms worked up to 4.2, but they seem to fail at 5 APEX for upgrade or newly created pages one.  The generated query is identical between versions, but it seems that the underlying apex_collections view has changed between versions and the origin of the problem.

  Hi Phil,

  APEX 5.0 the definition of the view of apex_collection had to be changed for security reasons. This change introduced a regression with tabular form validations, when the table refers to this view. Tabular form declarative validations require the ROWID in order to restore your changed data after a validation failed, and for this reason, APEX is insert the IDENTIFIER in the query in a table. It is currently not possible when tables refers to the sight of apex_collections. We are looking at a solution to this problem, but for now the only way to get around this is not, in this case, use the declarative validation and use some custom validations or process.

  I plan to upgrade our vCenter 4.1 to 5.0 and my checks and documentation are saying that the upgrade will succeed, but I also want to assure you that I have a backup/restore good plan ready in case of disaster.
  I discovered that there is much to find online, but because it offers great and many different version, one speaks of is it hard to say what guidelines are good to follow for someone like me who doesn't have a lot of experience with VMware.

  2. install SQL
  3. replace the databases in the SQL
  4. install the vCenter, and then point to SQL databases
  5. run vSphere to log

  One thing you don't mention, is whether or not the vCenter and SQL servers are physical or virtual.  So I just did the clones and took backups vRanger connection before you start the upgrade mine are virtual.
