• APEX 5 - bug Builder link when the action is redirect URL

  Hello

  I noticed a strange behavior of the designer of the Page - link generator when the action is redirect URL.

  When I try to make a link to the request URL to report who is in form f? p = & APP_ID.:0 : & SESSION. : PRINT_REPORT = REPORT_NAME value is stored without problem.

  I think that this reproduced only for the buttons, can you confirm that you were testing a link to a button?

  And it is indeed a bug, where the button of "redirect url" action starting by ' f? p' load a value zero in the dialog link (filed bug #21517098 to follow it). Although it is a bug, it must be said that in the case you cite, I believe that this should rather be defined as an action to the button "Redirect to the page of this application", where you define just page = 0 and demand (in advance) as 'PRINT_REPORT = REPORT_NAME'. Which works very well in 5.0 and is easier to set than the raw URL.

  Comment attributes normally only record up to 4000 characters. I will file a bug to limit text box to 4000 characters.

• APEX 4 Bug: time share at the date of display Gantt chart is a mess

  A previous thread triggered bug 9861439 on dates in Gantt diagrams.
  It seems that everything has been corrected, but I think that something is wrong.
  
  When I on Date format dd-MMM-% YYYY % HH: mm %: %ss (current popup)
  Part 'date' is right but the time part is weird: hours always display 12 ', minutes display number of the month and seconds always show '00'.
  
  I tested twice in apex.oracle.com. You can test this?

  Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'll log a bug for this and should have a solution for it in our next release. Unfortunately, in implementing formatting dates in the component of the chart, the time slice is not properly treated. In the meantime, I suggest selecting a format where the component "hour" is not displayed. Sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause.

• Apex_Item.Date_Popup APEX 4-> bug?

  The Apex_Item.Date_Popup which comes with Oracle APEX 4 version has a bug.
  The date picker will always write the return value in the first row, independent for which line you open the date picker.

  If you use APEX_ITEM. DATE_POPUP in a multirow scenario, you need TO specify the p_item_id parameter.

  Use #ROWNUM # as

   APEX_ITEM.DATE_POPUP(n,null,col1,null,....,'f01_#ROWNUM#')
  

  I did this back sometimes. I you can't always run with the p_item_id let me know, I will dig the code I used

• How can I fix the windows 7601 build bug not authentic?

  Like many people, I seem to have contracted the problem to build 7601. My copy of Windows 7 seems to think that it is not authentic.

  How can I fix it?

  I have absolutely no reason to believe that my copy of Win7 is not genuine. He is come pre-installed on a Compaq Presario that I bought in TESCO for several years and until a month ago, never threw to the top of the screen "not true." The Unit came with the sticker on top which included the series product key.

  I have read other discussions on this topic and they all seem to contradict each other and also seem to be quite old. They mention an update uninstall then advise against it. A related to a patch from Microsoft that no longer exists.

  I found online a tutorial that showed me how to operate the SLMGR-REARM in the DOS window. It worked for the first three times that my copy flaked out but of course, then stopped.
  I then discovered a tutorial that showed me how to reset the key "reg" to allow the RESET to work again. It worked only once. Since then, I was unable to fix it. In any case, it is all to treat the symptom, not the cause.

  When I finally got the license to operate properly, I checked for Windows updates, but my Windows updater told me that there is no available update and that my Win7 was completely up to date.

  Of course, I can't check the updates now that Win7 thinks that it is not authentic.

  I recently did a hot-swap to my HD of the Compaq Presario mentioned previously in a new machine. I used the method prescribed essentially disconnect all my drivers and put Windows in some sort of fashion 'sleep' before the Exchange. I forgot what it's called but it's a feature of Windows designed to minimize problems when hot-swapping. 7601 the problem seems to start a month or two after that, and I wonder if this is the cause.

  I had a number of profiles corrupted demanding a restoration of the profile in the registry as well, but they date to before the hotswap and return at the beginning of the year. I suspect bad sectors on the disk and wonder if it is maybe the cause also.

  While 7601 is does not interfere with my day-to-day work day on the machine (other than the annoying popups to warning), I want to fix because it is just gauling, knowing that it's really a genuine copy of Windows 7.

  I will continue to trawl through the other posts to build 7601, but if there is a solution to current day, I would be grateful to hear it.

  Well, after reading a load of complex technical solutions, install this, delete, change, etc. Someone suggested I just go in the key product Activation and it worked. Don't know for how long but I'll scan for bad sectors on the disk hard where the information is to be corrupt.

• Apex 4 Bug in conditional regions display?

  I upgraded to Apex 4 and now face the following problem with one of my applications.
  I have two regions of type HTML text on the same page, both with the same condition type (simple SQL exists query), but the second region are displayed. Any ideas?

  are you sure it worked before moving on to APEX 4.0? In which version it worked? I think how it behaves now is correct.

  Page P2_UMFRAGE element has 'Used Source' the value ' Always, replace the value that exists in the session state "which will result in an assignment of the value specified by"Source Type"and" value Source or expression "each time only when the page is rendered. Note: The assignment is made when the item hidden page P2_UMFRAGE is actually 'rendered' in "region 1". The result is simply stored in the session state of memory and not in persistent session state which has reason why you always see "21" when you view session after the return of the page state.

  If the flow is as follows:
  (1) with the management on page 1, P2_UMFRAGE's persistent session state is set to the current value (eg. 21)
  (2) the condition of the region 1 is evaluated, P2_UMFRAGE session state is always 21 why it is rendered
  (3) P2_UMFRAGE is rendered as part of the 1st region, this triggers the evaluation of attributes 'Source '.
  (4) because 'Source used' is equivalent to ' Always, replace the value that exists in the session state "the APEX engine will assign a new value to session memory to P2_UMFRAGE database state
  Note: All of the values specified for a page element like 'Source', 'Default value', 'Post calculation' will always change only in memory session state. Only the calculations or PL/SQL process will write in permanent session state.
  (5) the condition of the 2nd region is evaluated, the session state from P2_UMFRAGE has the value NULL is why the condition false reviews

  Hope that explains why zone 2 is not displayed. But I still wonder why it worked before APEX 4.0, because I'm not aware of any change in this area.

• Bug error #1037 report, Flash Builder 4.6

  I tried to have reported this bug through the appropriate channels, but the link on the page to https://www.Adobe.com/cfusion/mmForm/index.cfm?name=wishform for Flash Builder bug filing does not work.  Page links to "takes too much time answering".

  I use Flash Builder 4.6, and I get the error #1037.  According to the documentation at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/runtimeErrors.html, this isn't something that should be the case, and when the programmer does not believe the swf file has been corrupted, Adobe asked that they report it.  Even if I feel that something like this always justify the word "corrupt", I don't think it's been corrupted in this strict sense;. I build just the swf file in Flash Builder.  The project itself is fairly simple and has no configuration of track out of la.

  Take the following line of code in the startup class:

  M_COM.onBWDone = rnd.handleBWDoneResults;

  the following code in the m_com class:

  public function set onBWDone(pValue:Function):void

  m_fOnBWDone = pValue;

  }

  and the following code in the class of the rnd:

  The line of code in the start class, is what is throwing the error.  If I comment on this line of code, the error disappears.  If I simply do m_fOnBWDone a public variable, remove the setter and set the value of the variable directly in the start class, which also works.  But if I try to make it private and then use a trivial public property to set it like this, this error is raised.

  Because this class is the assignment of duties to a staff and the error will be thrown if you attempt to use 2 methods of the same name, are you sure that you are not accidentally trying to create 2 methods of the same name in the same scope? If the method name, you spend in pValue is already defined in the same scope, it must be lifted.

• External file of Javascript Ghost (bug?)

  Hi, this is a sensitive issue (at least for me):

  I created a Javascript file, we will call "test.js", I downloaded for shared components-> static files without request repository associated in particular.

  This file it is referenced by the X page with NO cache setting on the Javascript-the URL of file like this: #WORKSPACE_IMAGES #test.js

  So far so good, the functions of the library was called and executed correctly.

  But I stumbled upon a small bug in the file I have proceeded to correct and then change in the downloaded version of the file (less than 30000 bytes file, I was able to change on the spot, hit apply changes). After that, I deleted temp files and history on the browser. However when I run the page again the error continues, because, as shown in the console, the file being used is the precedent, not the version fixed. A little weird... okay, but that's not all, I have decided to remove the file from the repository and upload it again (same name "test.js") with no application associated with, once again, delete the temp files and history on the new browser and run the page (once again ). And once again (hehe...) the error persists and the file called is the one that does not exist. So finally I decided to do a bit of magic to deceive and delete the file but not download, leaving the reference to #WORKSPACE_IMAGES #test.js on page properties, delete history and the temporary file to the browser and run once more, this time decided to break the page, and yet it works!, wrongly is the buggy file but it's there! , so I said: "ok, browser problem... run it on Chrome (for the first time) and the file is there, so I said: 'ok, machine question..', run it on a new computer (for the first time) and the same non-existent buggy file and it is been charged...

  This file, it is not referenced by another application (yet). The runtime is file to the url that does not exist:

  I downloaded the same file under a new name Let's say test_1.js and change the page indicated under this new name, then the page load the new correct file. But this is not a desirable behavior, that I got the chance that it was the first reference to the file, but if it happens at a later stage, it would be a major problem.

  Sorry for making it a bit wide but I tried to be thorough with this, I missed something? Why is this happening?  Any help will be appreciated.

• Is there real problems leaving the production as a 'full of APEX development environment?

  We have recently installed APEX (5) in our production and Test environments.  We have not all applications running in Production at the moment.  Looking through the documentation I've learned that you can configure an instance of the APEX "APEX full development environment" or a "APEX Runtime Environment" and you can switch between the two through scripting.

  It is recommended to set your runtime production environment.  However when you do this you will lose access to admin functions.  My questions are:

  (1) if we look / account ADMIN secure as well as all users in our application workspace, is so no REAL question simply letting PROD as development environment?

  (2) If you make your Production environment, a runtime environment, it seems that you can import only new applications via the SQL script.  What happens when you export out of your Test instance and it has an application ID that is already used in the Production environment?  When you import forward, it lets create you a new application ID instead of using the existing one.  I fear that the admins will accidentally overwrite an existing application if they import via the script.

  You can keep the Apex Builder in production. Indeed, it gives you a lot of additional options.

  Ask the administrator to disable all accounts developer of workspace in the production environment, however.

  Also, export the applications run only, not run & Build. It gives a little extra coverage.

  When you import forward, it lets create you a new application ID instead of using the existing one.

  It would be bad practice. You would create a nightmare of versioning IMHO. What happens if you get an error of production application ID 1231, page 21, which is the application ID 132, page 21 in development? How can you know which application is which?

• Apex 5 - Top Menu as Backend Administration Apex universal theme

  Universal theme apex 5 comes with really nice menus. I would like to have the top menu even as that used in the Administration interface of the Apex.

  Including the tabs of colors, bar menu next to the Logo, better quality bread crumbs, etc. of keyboard shortcuts.

  Also, I saw in the sample application Websheets, bread have a kind of Drop Down Menu showing the subgroups for faster browsing.

  Why is Oracle not delivered it as a model?

  How these effects were archived?

  Any idea?

  APEX 5 includes support for navigation from the top menu bar. When you create a new application by using the universal theme of the default is navigation, but it is easy to change to the navigation bar.

  Here's how to get to the navigation bar:

  In the homepage application builder for your application, click on modify Application Properties. Click on Edit icon on the Desktop tab User Interface. In the navigation section change Position top of page and list of Navigation Menu template above. Apply the changes, and then rerun your app.

  Universal theme also has models list for context menus and menu bars. Just go to the navigation bar will not give you menus that look exactly like those in internal applications to the APEX (Builder, administration frontend etc.). This is because the page templates and the css are slightly different. You should be able to create your own page templates and the css to mimic the APEX apps internal menu look and feel. Also note that as the administration and help menus right aren't a bar menu but the menu icon buttons.

  The breadcrumbs in web sheets using the same implementation of menu. The difference comes down to a few special css. APEX 5 has a lot of mileage out of the new widget menu.

• It's time to build a new machine?

  I get the build bug now that new Nvidia cards are coming.  I would have preferred to hold off for as long as I can and let prices naturally come down, but recently (even using first 12 items) I have questions perfoirmance.  I recently started playing with AE CC and saying it's slow is an understatement.  It of time to upgrade or is anyway to improve and save my current rig.  I'm not a gamer and honestly I always use Photoshop CS3 because CC is super slow as well.  Any suggestion welcome and thanks in advance...
