APEX listener Config Admin (listenerConfigure and listenerAdmin)

O / s: Red Hat 5
APEX: 4.1.1
Listener of the APEX: 1.1.3
GlassFish: 3.0.1
DB: Oracle 11 g 2

ListenerConfigure running does not make the Web Page properly - I see most of the texts and textual forms. This could be the cause?
Also, when you apply the connection in listenerConfigure information, get the following error:

"Could not start the universal Connection Pool: oracle.ucp.UniversalConnectionPoolException: cannot get data source connection.

I'm trying to configure the listener of the APEX with GlassFish. Appears that the images of the Web Page are not.
See you soon!

Hello

You should definitely have a look at the version of the JDK you are using.

I had this as well (using tomcat) when I upgraded the JDK to the last version evrything was going well again.

Good luck!

    could someone help me

FYI - I can configure apex listener 1.1.4 and Glassfish 3.1.2 no problem

    Thank you

This is one of them. There are several option.

    Take a look at:

    java -jar apex.war help

That will show you all the options.

    Which is the main:

java -jar apex.war setup --database test

Now keep in mind, this will change your WAR file. After its deployment, the parameters are in XML files. I highly recommend that you configure a location of configuration before you deploy the WAR file. It will make your life much simpler and more predictable.

  • APEX listener 2.0.1 with Glassfish 3.1.2 image file mapping

    Hello
After spendig two hours reading documents, Articles and forum posts, this is the right time to ask here :-)

    I m using Oracle 11.2.0.3 Win 2008 R2 with Apex listener 2.0.1 and Glassfish 3.1.2

When I generate the file i.war, asked me to use a directory of the image. that s okay. But a peek inside the weblogic.xml file shows me,
that is the virtual folder /i used
My application uses the resp/images. I would use the/images folder, but there is no Option, when generating the file i.war

There are a few posts here, where users requesting a solution when you have a blank Page.
Just look inside the page, you see a lot of content, but which is not displayed, because of all the .css / .js .png / .jpg files point to the wrong directory.

I tried to regenerate the i.war file (with the XML of the parameter (I, m, a model of Java)
    <>context-root / images < / context root >

    But I get the error:

    c:\Temp > java-jar i.war - cvf *. * WEB - INF
    Error: Cannot access c i.war

    Any help?

    Thank you

    Marco

As stated in the documentation of the listener [1] you can get assistance on orders of auxiliary command line using:

    java -jar apex.war help

for example, view all the options taken in charge by the static command type (also noted in the documentation: [2]):

    java -jar apex.war help static

    which will display:

    java -jar apex.war static [--context-path]

    Options:
[--context-path] The context path at which the
    WAR will be deployed,
    defaults to: /i

    Arguments:
    The location where the Oracle
    Application Express static
    resources are stored

In order to use/images instead of / i use

    java-jar apex.war static - context-path/images ${APEX_HOME} / images

where ${APEX_HOME} is the location of your APEX facility

  • Get the blank Page using Weblogic and Apex listener v2

    Greetings,

So I thought I would upgrade to the new version of the listener at the same time, I'm moving my current listeners of the apex (version 1.0.2.238.15.24) to a new server. The version of the new listener, I try to use is 2.0.0.354.17.05.

I need to set up several headphones on the new server to point to different environments. I managed to successfully install the new listening port for one of my environments and everything works fine. However when I try to install the listener once I get a blank page when I try to put in place the Apex.

I created two areas Weblogic (v 10.3.3), one for each listener. Here is how they are configured:

    This earphone works.
    DEV1
    Domain Name:     APEXA
    Host Name:     mars
    Port Number     7023
    Database Host:     mars
    Database Name:     SID1
    APEX Version:     4.1.0.00.32
    This listener DOES NOT work.
    DEV2
    Domain Name:     APEXB
    Host Name:     mars
    Port Number     7053
    Database Host:     venus
    Database Name:     SID2
    APEX Version:     4.1.0.00.32
I am trying to access the second listener by entering this url:
    http://mars.xyz.com:7053/apex
    and that value is returned
    http://mars.xyz.com:7053/apex/f?p=4550:1:684042141256623
Since the number of app, the page number, the session information is there, I guess that is what makes the database and is processed by the Apex. The problem is that the returned page is empty. The source of the actual page is:

    <html>
    <head>
    </head>
    <body>
    <pre></pre>
    </body>
    </html>
I checked that images are accessible by entering:
    http://Mars.xyz.com:7053/i/apex_version.txt

    This is what is returned:
    Application Express Version: 4.1

I don't know how to debug this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Larry

You have configured different configuration for Auditors 2 directories? If only they would use the same config files and which would give conflicts.
You can also configure the two summits on the same listening port, each accessible with a different URL prefix.
And if the second database is always 10g, then you might hit a bug (Apex listener 2.0 does not work against 10g DB).

How do you use ADR/APEX listener? Autonomous/deployed on Java EE server?

Want to host RESTful web services on your instance APEX?

Looking at the error you found, it is because:

During the installation of the ADR, he asked three databases users? : APEX_PUBLIC_USER, APEX_LISTENER and APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER.

Whose APEX_PUBLIC_USER is required for the operation of the Applications Oracle APEX. APEX_LISTENER (which corresponds to the configuration of apex_al) and APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER (which corresponds to the apex_rt configuration) in ADR are required for the accommodation of RESTful services.

The problem, I think it's that you haven't configured the RESTful services before installing ADR where the APEX_LISTENER and the APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER does not exist and so the configuration of the ADR fails.

It is fine if you do not configure the RESTful services (just want to use Oracle APEX), but when the ADR facility you should ignore configuration APEX_LISTENER and APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER accounts.

Moreover, I think that you use EA(Early Adopter) version of ADR version 3.0 of knowing, but I think you should go for the stable version of ADR version 2.0.10 Viz.

The ADR 3.0 configuration is more advanced (complex bit) than the 2.0 because it contains information about 5 database users (i.e., APEX_PUBLIC_USER, APEX_LISTENER, APEX_REST_PUBLIC_USER, ORDS_METADATA and ORDS_PUBLIC_USER).

Finally, I think you want the instance Oracle APEX for purposes of personal training, using Gateway (EPG) of embedded PL/SQL would be sufficient now as suggested by fac586 here: Re: getting started with APEX after download

Suggestion: You should post data Services Oracle REMAINS related matters to the appropriate i.e. forum ADR, SODA & JSON in the database.

    I hope this helps!

  • Cannot get listener config page

    Hello
I just installed 4.01 on EX 10 Oracle Apex I can open Apex, apex admin pages. But I can't open http://localhost: 8080/apex/listenerConfigure and also listenerAdmin, listenerStatus pages. I'm HTTP404 - the Web page could not be found. I start the listener using: java-jar C:\apex\ApexListener\apex.war it starts ok, open listenerConfig page last, but it is presented as a Web page cannot be found please suggest what could be the problem?

    Hello

have you installed the Oracle XE on the same host that you try to run the listener on?
If this is the case, I guess you don't have to change or disable the HTTP Port used by the XDB HTTP server provided by the database. This is the default method of access to APEX called "Embedded PL/SQL Gateway' (EPG) in the installation guide for APEX.
If two (EPG and APEX Listener) services are configured to use the same port, only two services will be able to use it and the other is will not be accessible. In your case, probably of the database was launched before the listener, then it was already using the port and the listener could not bind to it.
The result you see is perfect - you reach your APEX installation via EPG.
To resolve the conflict, you can reconfigure the XDB HTTP Port or start your receiver of APEX on a different port. This last option is even easier. Simply enter

    java -Dapex.port=nnnn -jar C:\apex\ApexListener\apex.war

where nnnn is the port to be used by the listener which should differ from 8080.

  • Apex listener Version

Is there a way to tell what version of Apex listener that I use? I checked listenerAdmin and he can find.

You can find it in the web.xml file (located in /apex/WEB-INF/web.xml.)

I don't know if he said somewhere in the Admin pages or status, but that's how I've been tracking the version number.

    Hello

I updated the apex listener port 8080 and it does not give this error now.

However, he always says "Database connection by default not configured correctly"

I gave the name of SID as xe, which is the default value and that the correct SID for my DB also.
    >

SID = xe is correct since you are using 11g XE.

What is more important, is that you may be able to access the Apex Application Builder via the ApexListener or not.
If Apex is not accessible, then the thing to check would be the Apex_Public_user password. Can you connect to XE using Apex_Public_user with the password that you provided when setting up the ApexListener?
Also make sure the Apex_Public_user and 2 other users ApexListener 2.0EA, are UNLOCKED.

    See you soon,.

    Hello

you receive an error message to the console output of your listener APEX in standalone Mode?
Despite this, could you please check if you have set up the directory for static content ("images") properly, that is, is it exists, is it filled with the content of "images" - folder that corresponds to your version of the APEX and is it readable for the user you run your listener APEX with?

The "config" file could have disappeared - the process of installation/configuration (for Tomcat, at least) is used to store the configuration xml file in 'tmp'... which will then once you restart! There are a few posts on how to change the directory in which the configuration file is stored.

  • How do the 5 server not listening on ports 80 and 443

I want to configure an Apache Server on a Linux virtual machine (using the last VirtualBox) on my Mac running El Capitan 10.11.3.

5.0.15 server is already running on the Mac (and I want to keep it, with the exception of web services). I have disabled the sharing in the web server user interface, but it was not enough, Apache listening ports 80 and 443, prohibiting VirtualBox to listen to them and transmits them to the Linux virtual machine.

So I put comment out these lines in /Library/Server/Web/Config/Proxy/apache_serviceproxy.conf:

    #listen 80

    #listen 443

    8008 #listen

    #listen 8800

    8443 #listen

    8843 #listen

After a restart, Apache seems not to listen to ports 80 and 443 more. However, VirtualBox does not become the listener. I tried this command in the Mac terminal:

    -i sudo lsof: 80

and nothing has been returned, suggesting that something in OS X still prevents VirtualBox to listen to ports 80 and 443. If I try to convey some random host port of Mac to port 80 in the virtual machine, then I can my virtualized server access from Safari on the Mac host via the custom port said. But I would use the standard port 80.

    Any help really appreciated.

Instead of commenting, assign a specific IP for the server listen instead of * (which means that all the IP addresses). This is only to the server on port 80 and 443 in this config file. I sometimes give an additional IP address to the Ether. Your Linux Machine can connect to the second IP address or the first initial assigned to your server depending on your configuration.

Server is very aggressive in it's use ports, he leaves so all services to operate, even if you have the use of ports to other IP addresses.

  • APEX listener ignores jdbc. MaxRows limit for REST Services?

    Hello

Someone have problem with ADR when REST webservice is limited to 500 return lines?

We use the Listener APEX APEX 4.2 2.0 and Oracle Standard Edition 12.1.

We tried to change settings as shown here https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37099_01/doc.20/e25066/config_file.htm#sthref122 but without effect.

    We missed something?

    Thank you

    Radovan

The solution is very simple. Parameterjdbc.MaxRows mentioned in documentation in real world starts with small m. It is actually jdbc.maxRows .

    Hope that helps,

  • It must for application Apex runs in mode listener Apex to use Apex listener 2.0 as a print server?

    Hello world

I'm an Oracle Apex developer for 2 years now.

Recently, I was in charge of search and do a few examples of how to print pdf with Oracle Apex 4.2.2 (Oracle 11 g).

I want to use Apex 2.0 listener that standalone as a print server, we installed and we changed the configuration of the print server in the administration workspace. Then I created a report query and when I have the test report, a pdf file is downloaded, but when he opens, Adobe reader tells me that is not a valid pdf file.

Our Apex application runs in the pl/sql gateway mode not Apex listener.

So my squestion is: "" Is it mandatory for application Apex runs in mode listener Apex to use Apex listener 2.0 as a print server?".

    Thanks for help.

    Best regards

    You

    Thanks for your reply.

We have an apex application that already runs using EPG and we want to allow printing of the pdf in it. So, we installed the ADR offline, to use as a print server but it does not seem possible if the Apex app uses a different web server than the listener of the Apex. right?

    Thank you once again.

You have answered your own question... If you use the EPG, then you can NOT use another product middleware or application server until you turn off the EPG...

Why you use the EPG in production?  Oracle does NOT recommend this (see the APEX Oracle installation instructions..)

  • How can I disable only restful service? On Apex listener

    Hi all:

For security reasons, I want to turn off the data service based in some of the listener apex server and activate the application only service. How can I do?

    Support gives the solution:

How to disable the restful services is NOT to configure pools of connections AL and RT in the ADR/Rest Data Services. (APEX Listener).
Remove or rename the files apex_rt.xml and apex_al.xml available in the configuration (conf) configured against ADR directory used by these bodies / the listener of the APEX.
This way ADR / the APEX listener will not be able to deliver the REST requests to the database and return 404 to the end user

    I started the listener with java-jar apex.war

    When I started with http://localhost: 8080/apex/f? p = 4550:1:2983093393191825

I have APPLICATION EXPRESS LISTENER 503 - Service unavailable

    Please help me!

    Concerning

    Siegwin

APEX connects to the database using APEX_PUBLIC_USER, which would be the user to modify.

Otherwise, run again the configuration of your headset with the name of user and password correct e.g. java-jar apex.war of installation
